Abstract

ABSTRACT                 There are four research objectives. First, describing the forms of direct and indirect speech acts in terms of the types of illocutionary speech acts conducted by the teacher. Second, classifying the function of speech acts used by the teacher. Third, knowing the speech strategy used by the teacher. Fourth, find the context of the situation in the teacher's speech acts at XI grade students of SMA Adabiah Padang. The type of this research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data of this study are teacher's direct and indirect speech acts. This research instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection techniques are competent free participation techniques (SBLC), record, and note. Data validation techniques are triangulation techniques. There are five techniques used to analyze data.  There are four the results of this study. First, there are five forms of direct and indirect speech acts that are viewed from the types of illocutionary speech acts, namely assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. Second, there are five functions of direct and indirect speech acts, namely: (1) assertive to state, notify, advise, boast, complain, demand, and report, (2) directive to order, order, request, request, advocate. Advising, (3) commissiveness to say (prayer), (4) expressive to say thank you, forgive, congratulate, and (5) declarative to drop the law. Third, there are two speech action strategies, namely positive politeness strategies and negative politeness strategies. Fourth, the context of using teacher-speaking strategies to students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the direct and indirect speech acts of the teacher have an effect on the Indonesian language subject while doing the teaching and learning process in the classroom.                                              Kata kunci: tindak tutur langsung dan tidak langsung, guru

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to determine the effect of discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media on the ability to write fable text by students of class VII SMPN 7 Padang. The data of this research is the score of writing ability of fable text. Data were collected by giving performance test of fable test writing ability on sample before and after applying discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media. The ability to write fable text before and after applying a discovery learning model is aided by audiovisual media rather than to see the effect by using the t-test formula. The results showed that (1) the ability of writing fable text by grade VII students of SMPN 7 Padang before applying the discovery learning model aided by audiovisual media is on the Qualification More than Enough (Ldc) with the average value of 67,08, (2). the ability to classify fable by grade VII students of SMPN 7 Padang after applying discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media with good qualification (B) with score average 76,53, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis accepted at significant level 95% and degrees of freedom due to thitung> ttable (2.80> 1.70). Kata kunci: Model discovery learning, media audiovisual, teks fabel

Abstract

ABSTRACT There are three objectives of this research. First, to describe the skills of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. Second, to describe the skills of descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. Third, to describe the relationship between the skills of reading comprehension and descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative whereas the method applied is correlational. The population of this research is students of grade VII registered in the 2017/2018 academic year with a total amount of 249 students spread over eight classes. The number of sample of this research is 40 students (15% of total population of students in each class). The sampling technique applied in the research is the proportional-random sampling. The variable of the research is the skill in reading comprehension as independent variable and the skill of descriptive text writing as bound variable. The instrument used in the research is the objective tests comprised of reading comprehension test and working test i.e. descriptive-text writing test. The data of the research is the scores of the objective tests. The gathered data was analyzed based on the indicators to obtain students' scores and points. Data analysis requirement test is the normality and homogenity test. The following are the two results of the research. First, the skill of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang is at a good qualification with an average score of 83.30. Second, the skill of descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang is at a good qualification with a score of 81.93. The result of research indicates that the skill of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang has significant relations to the skill of descriptive text writing. Hence, the skill of descriptive text writing requires the skill of reading comprehension.          Kata kunci: membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe article was written to describe the reading comprehension skills of exposition text with the skills of writing exposition students class X SMAN 1 Payakumbuh. The type of this stuudy is quantitative research by using descriptive method. The research design used is correlational. Population in this study is students of grade X SMAN 1 Payakumbuh registered in the academic year 2017/2018 amounted to 396 students. Sample were taken using proportional random sampling. Based on the result of this study, it can be concluded that correlation between reading skill with writing skill of exposition text student class X SMAN 1 Payakumbuh with convidence 95% with degree of freedom n-1; t-count> t-table (8,37)> (1.67 ). Abstract

ABSTRACT The purposes of this study are (1) to know the literacy activities in SMA N Batusangkar, (2) to describe the implementation of school literacy activities in SMA N Batusangkar, (3) to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of school literacy activities in SMA N Batusangkar. This Study was conducted on schools that have implemented literacy programs. The data in this study are the results of interviews on people in SMA N Batusangkar who are involved in the literacy activities that consist of the head of the library, curriculum representatives, indonesian language teacher, other subject teachers, and two Randomly selected students. The finding of this study are (1) SMA Negeri 1 Batusangkar, SMA Negeri 2 Batusangkar, and SMA Negeri 3 Batusangkar had been carrying out literacy activities at the school, (2) SMA Negeri Batusangkar implement literacy activities based on two basic literacy components, namely basic literacy and literacy library (3) SMA Negeri Batusangkar uses two components dasat literacy literacy activities at all stages, namely conditioning phase of activity, the activity of the development stage, and the activity stage of learning. Kata kunci: Implementasi, aktivitas, literasi, SMA Negeri Batusangkar

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to describe and analyze the contribution of interest in reading prose fiction to the skill of writing short stories in class XI students of SMA Negeri Sungai Geringging Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This type of research is quantitative with correlation design. The population of this research is the students of grade XI of SMA Negeri Sungai Geringging which is registered in academic year 2018/2019. There are two research variables, namely the interest in reading prose fiction (independent variables) and short story writing skills (dependent variables). The data was collected by giving performance test of short story writing skill and reading proxies reading fictional interest. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the interest in reading fiction prose contributes to the writing skills of students' short stories by 8.79%. Kata kunci: kontribusi, minat baca prosa fiksi, keterampilan menulis, teks cerpen

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article was written to illusstrate the effect of using technic mind mapping to writing skill of biography text of X students of SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan. This research data is a score in the skills of writing biography text before and after using technic mind mapping. This study has three results. First, the skills of writing biography texts before using technic mind mapping stay in the qualification Medium (SD). Second, the skill of writing the biography of the students of grade X SMA Negeri 3 Solok Selatan after using the technic mind mapping is qualified good (B). Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is four, that is describing the process of implementation of text based learning in stage (1) the preparation of context, (2) modeling, (3) making text together, (4) making the text independently in SMA Negeri Padaang. This type of research using qualitative method. Techmique of data collecting is dones by observation, interview, and documentation study. The result of the research shows that teacher in SMA Negeri Padanghave implemented four aspects of text based learning that is in context complilation phase, the teacher ensures the students have understood the meaning of text, the type of text, the form of text, the purpose of the text, and language of the text. At the modeling stage, teacher ensure students are able to analyze the type of the text, text structure, text form, text purpose, and textual language. At the joint text making stage, the teacher ensures that student have been able to organize the text together. At the stage of making the text independently, the teacher ansures the student is able to produce new texts by the students independently. Kata kunci : teks, konteks, pemodelan, bersama, mandiri

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to illustrate the effect of using technic copy the master to writing skill of fable text of VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. This research data is a score in the skills of writing fable texts before and after using technic copy the master (next on abbreviated CTM) .This study has three results. First, the skills of writing fable texts before using technic CTM in the qualification Enough (C). Second, the skill of writing the text of the fable of the students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman after using the technic CTM is qualified More than Enough (Ldc). Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is purpose to describe the influencing of using copy the master technic for writing poetry text ability for students class X SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya. The kind of this research is quantitative. The research uses experiment method which emphasizes on semu design experiment for one group pretest posttest design. There are three result on the research are (1) the students’ ability in writing poetry text before using copy the master technic at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya is low and grades HC with average 50,40, (2) the students’ ability in writing poetry text after using copy the master technic at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya  is  high  and  grades  LdC  with  average  73,12,  and  (3)  the significant influenced from using copy the master technic writing poetry text ability for students class X SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya.
