Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are known as the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. The Iarge number of Islamic boarding schooIs in Batanghari Regency, as well as the large number of students in each pesantren make this institution a major contribution to deveIopment. The roIe of the poskestren is a form of community-based health efforts (UKBM) in the boarding schooI environment, with the principle of, by and for the boarding school residents. This study aims to determine the behavioral determinants of students in the formation of heaIthy students in Islamic boarding schooIs in Batanghari Regency. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. This study invoIved 98 respondents who were seIected by the Proportional Random Sampling technique to be interviewed. Data anaIysis was univariate, bivariate with Chi square and muItivariate with logistic regression. The results showed that 46.9% of respondents had poor student behavior in impIementing poskestren. There is a reIationship between perceived barriers (p-vaue: 0.011) perceptions of self-efficacy (p-value: 0.047), the infIuence of teachers/ustadz (p-vaIue: 0.007), the infIuence of heaIth workers (p-vaIue: 0.020) and the behavior of students. Perceived benefits (p-vaIue: 0.210) did not have a significant reIationship with the behavior of students. The factor that had a strong infIuence on the behavior of students was the influence of teachers/ustadz with an Odds Ratio (OR= 0.323. 95% CI 0.143–0.822). There is a need fr management training and the formation of HeaIthy Santri.

Abstract

The Covid-19 disease that was detected at the end of 2019 quickly caused a pandemic, and became a global health issue. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) and Deep Breathing (DB) are exercises that can reduce blood pressure, heart rate, stress, lactic acid production, anxiety and pain. The purpose of the study was to assess the effect of PMR and DB on anxiety (anxiety) and quality of life (quality of life) of COVID-19 patients. The research design used a quasi-experimental with pretest and posttest with the control group. The research was conducted at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a sample of 28 people, with 14 people in each group. Data were analyzed using paired t test. The procedure was carried out with 30 minutes of treatment every day for 5 consecutive days. There was a significant effect between the mean anxiety score before 43.08 (SD ±4.22) and after treatment 45.67 (SD ±2.41) and Quality of Life before 24.43 (SD±4.58) and after treatment 26.07 (SD ±3.58). The results of the difference in mean obtained p value = 0.00 on anxiety, and p = 0.01 on quality of life, or p value < 0.05. The results of the study concluded that there was a significant difference in the average difference between the PMR and DB intervention groups in reducing anxiety and increasing quality of life in Covid-19 patients. It is recommended for nurses to make PMR and DB one of the independent nursing interventions in providing nursing care to Covid-19 patients.

Abstract

Background: Balance disorders are one of the problems that can cause the elderly to fall and experience a high risk of disability if not treated immediately. This problem occurs because of changes and setbacks in the body's system which results in a decrease in muscle strength and muscle contraction. Square stepping exercise (SSE) is one of the exercises that can help improve balance and cognitive disorders in the elderly because they have multi-directional movement patterns. Purpose: To determine the effect of Square stepping exercise (SSE) on the level of dynamic balance in reducing the risk of falls in the elderly. Method: The design of this study uses a literature review, namely by identifying several articles and scientific journals based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the sample, then they will be analyzed to obtain more accurate information. Articles and scientific journals were obtained using a database in the form of Google Scholar, PubMed, IJSR with the criteria for the 2015-2020 publishing year according to the theme in the title. Result: After analyzing articles and international scientific journals, it was found that the square stepping exercise (SSE) was mostly very effective in improving dynamic balance and reducing the risk of falling in the elderly. Conclusion: Based on scientific articles that have been identified and analyzed, there is an effect on giving Square Stepping Exercise on the level of dynamic balance in reducing the risk of falling in the elderly.

Abstract

Coronary heart disease is a degenerative disease. One of the techniques that can open blood vessels and return blood through the coronary arteries is Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). Hemodynamic conditions are one of the patient's preparations for PCI, but anxiety can respond to the cardiovascular system, one of which is a disturbance in a person's hemodynamics. Problems that often arise in pre PCI patients are anxiety.Percutaneous Coronary Intervention is one of the techniques that have been invented to open the blood vessels and return blood through the coronary arteries (PCI). PCI, also known as cardiac catheterization, is a procedure that involves inserting one or more catheters into the heart and blood arteries. The catheter is inserted through a peripheral vessel, usually femoral, then non-operatively invasive so that complications can be kept as low as possible. Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) can cause complications in the form of myocardial infarction, stroke, arrhythmia and death. This causes a person to feel himself threatened, someone feels himself threatened can cause the effect of Anxiety (anxiety). The problem that often arises in pre PCI patients is anxiety. One of the efforts to overcome anxiety is the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). This type of research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest with a control group, namely by conducting a pretest in both groups and followed by an intervention in the experimental group and then conducting a posttest in both groups, with a sample of 34 respondents. The results showed that the effect of EFT on the anxiety of pre PCI patients in the intervention group with p-value = 0.000, while in the control group with p-value = 0.650. Furthermore, it is hoped that clients who will undergo PCI will not be hindered from doing PCI because the client has been given Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) therapy.
