Abstract

Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) is among the Community-based Health Efforts (UKBM) managed by and for benefits of the community members assisted by health workers’ technical supports. Posyandu is a strategy implemented by the Indonesian government and assigned by the Ministry of Health to conduct early detection of any growth disorders among toddlers, especially stunting (growth failure). However, in reality, the community hardly use Posyandu services due to mother’s lack of knowledge regarding the services. This study was aimed to investigate the relationship between mothers’ knowledge on Posyandu services and their frequency of visit to Posyandu in Karangrejo village, Purworejo regency. The researcher implemented quantitative approach with observational analytic method and cross-sectional research design. The respondents were mothers with 12-59 months aged children in Karangrejo village. There were 44 participants chosen using total sampling technique. Spearman’s rank statistical test revealed that 20 respondents (45.4%) had good knowledge on Posyandu services and therefore frequently visited Posyandu for their toddlers while 5 of them (11.4%) had little knowledge on the services which explained why they did not pay regular visits to Posyandu. Further, the results showed p-value=0.000 and correlation coefficient 0.698 meaning that the relationship of mothers’ knowledge on Posyandu services and their frequency of visit to Posyandu in Karangrejo village, Purworejo regency was considered to be moderate (C=0.698). It is suggested that mothers with children of 12-59 months age regularly visit Posyandu to ensure the good growth of their children.

Abstract

Breast milk (ASI) is a healthy and perfect foods for babies, containing all the nutrients needed for optimal growth and development by babies. Insufficient breast milk is a threat to children's growth and development, which will ultimately affect their health. The Marmet-Oketani massage technique will synergistically increase the flexibility of the breasts and nipples to become softer. The combination with soybeans will stimulate the production of breast milk itself so that the baby's needs for nutrients are fulfilled. Goal of the research is to effect the combination of Marmet-Oketani massage technique as well as soybean consumption (Glycin max) on breast milk (ASI) in Post Partum Mothers at the Siswani Lubuk Pakam Maternity Clinic. The study was conducted on 54 postpartum mothers with purposive sampling techniques with pre-experimental method methods with the design of The One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Breast milk production in the treatment group (given marmet-oketani technique) with many categories amounted to 89.47% (17 respondents), smooth milk production in the control group (given marmet-oketani technique) and soybean consumption with many categories of 18 (94.73%). Based on the results of Chi-Square statistical test analysis, a p-value of 0.025 < ? 0.05 was obtained, this shows that there is an influence of the provision of marmet-oketani techniques and soybean consumption with postpartum maternal milk production at the Siswanti Lubuk Pakam Midwife Clinic. It is recommended that future researchers conduct research on other massage techniques to obtain quality breast milk

Abstract

Sectio caesarea is a method of artificial delivery to give birth to a fetus by means of surgery and an incision in the uterine wall through the outer skin of the mother's abdomen. This caesarean section can cause pain in the mother and changes in tissue continuity can occur. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the standard for births carried out using the caesarean section (SC) method is around 5-15% per 1000 births in the world. the average incidence rate in government hospitals is 11% and 30% in private hospitals. There are two ways to overcome pain, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological, to overcome pain using pharmacological methods, this can be done by administering analgesic drugs and to overcome pain using non-pharmacological methods, this can be done by providing aromatherapy to reduce the pain. This research aims to determine the effect of aromatherapy on pain after caesarean section at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. To determine the effect of aromatherapy on pain after caesarean section at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. Abstract

Optimal baby growth and development can be increased by meeting good nutritional needs, besides that another factor that can support this is by meeting the needs of adequate sleep for babies according to their age. Quality sleep for babies is sleep with regular frequency and also adequate sleep duration. In infants aged 0-12 months the duration of sleep needed by the baby is 12 to 17 hours including nap hours, this is very important to fulfill because the baby is still in the nocturnal period. One alternative option that can be done to improve sleep quality is to do baby massage or baby massage, baby massage can provide nerve stimulation to the baby's skin so that it can secrete out hormones that can provide drowsiness and comfort.this study used a pre-experimental design (Quasy experiment) with a one group pretest – post test design. The population in this study smelled 3-6 months old, sampling using total sampling techniques with a total sample of 25 babies. The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test showed that before massage was carried out on infants aged 3-6 months, the quality of sleep of infants in the sufficient category amounted to 12 respondents (48%) and after massage was carried out on infants aged 3-6 months, the quality of sleep of infants in the good category amounted to 17 respondents (68%). The results showed that there was an effect of baby massage on the sleep quality of infants aged 3-6 months at Henny Clinic, Tanjung Morawa District, with a significant value of p value = 0.000 <? (0.05). It can be concluded that baby massage has an effect on improving sleep quality in infants aged 3 - months at Henny Clinic, Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. It is expected that parents can choose baby massage as an alternative non-pharmacological method in improving the quality of baby's sleep in order to achieve a more optimal degree of health and growth and development.

Abstract

Pregnancy hypertension is one of the largest contributors to maternal mortality and needs to be alerted and treated immediately, so that it becomes the center of great attention in improving public health. The next problem is that if this condition is not treated immediately, it can progress to more severe conditions, namely preeclampsia and eclampsia, thereby endangering the mother and unborn baby. The risk to the mother can result in permanent and severe brain damage, heart, kidney and liver damage. Meanwhile, babies are at risk of stillbirth, asphyxia, reduced blood flow to the placenta so that the baby can be born prematurely, nutrition to the fetus is disrupted, resulting in the baby being born with a low weight. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of consuming ciplukan fruit on hypertension in pregnancy. This method uses a "quasy experiment" research design with a "pretest-posttest with control group" design. The population in this study were all pregnant women in Lau Rakit Village, STM Hilir District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. Sampling was carried out by random sampling using the Cluster sampling technique. Time: The research was carried out in July – August 2023. The results of the study showed changes in the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of hypertensive pregnant women after consuming ciplukan fruit. This is shown in the p value results of 0.000 and 0.000 (<0.05). So it can be seen that there is a significant effect of consuming ciplukan fruit on reducing blood pressure in pregnant women who experience hypertension. On the other hand, in the control group, the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of hypertensive pregnant women showed that the p value was 0.095 and 0.133 (>0.05), so it can be concluded that there was no effect before and after measuring the blood pressure of hypertensive pregnant women who did not consume ciplukan fruit. Therefore, pregnancy hypertension can be immediately prevented and treated through traditional or non-pharmacological methods, namely by giving ciplukan (Physialis peruviana) fruit drinks to pregnant women with hypertension.
