Abstract

Newborns do not need other intakes other than milk, but there are not a few postpartum mothers who give formula milk to their babies because of little or no ASI production, especially on the first day of the baby's birth. One of the causes of the low level of exclusive breastfeeding is the lack of the hormones oxytocin and prolactin, which play a very important role in the smooth production of milk. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oxytocin massage on increasing ASI production in postpartum mothers. This type of research is a pre-experimental study with One Group Pre and Post Test Design. The population in this study were 60 postpartum mothers during the last 3 months at the Pratama Nining Pelawati Clinic in 2023. The sample in this study was postpartum mothers with inclusion and exclusion criteria totaling 36 people. ASI production data was taken using a measuring cup which was then analyzed. Based on Shapiro Wilk's results, the average postpartum mother's ASI production before oxytocin massage was 24.78 while the average postpartum mother's milk production after oxytocin massage was 40.36. There is a significant effect of oxytocin massage on increasing ASI production with a p-value of 0.012 (p>0.05) It is recommended for health workers to be able to do oxytocin massage to increase ASI production in postpartum mother.

Abstract

Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) are functional plants with an abundance of nutrients both macronutrients and micronutrients. The need for nutrition in postpartum and lactating mothers is more than the nutritional needs of mothers during pregnancy, during the first 6 months the mother needs an additional energy of 500 calories / day which is useful for producing adequate milk production for the baby. The use of Moringa leaves has been widely used by the community as an alternative menu that is beneficial for mothers during pregnancy and breastfeeding mothers. For postpartum and lactating mothers, Moringa leaves are very useful and contain phytosterol compounds that are lactagogum effects that can increase and launch milk production so that they can improve the baby's health status by increasing the baby's weight and can also prevent stunting in infants. This research is a Quasy Experiment research with One Group Pretest and Postest Design approach. The sample in this study was determined by Purposive Sampling technique, which is a sample with a total of 19 postpartum mothers at the Juliana Tanjung Morawa midwife clinic. The results of the study found a difference between before and after being given Moringa leaf boiled water on maternal breast milk production, this can be seen from the sig value of 0.000 and the difference between before and after being given Moringa leaf cooking water on maternal HB levels, this can be seen from the GIS value of 0.000, it was concluded that there was an effect of Moringa leaf cooking water on breast milk production and Hb levels of postpartum mothers at the Juliana Tanjung Morawa clinic.

Abstract

The difficulty in determining the choice of contraceptive type is experienced by many prospective KB acceptors Caused by ignorance about the various advantages and disadvantages or side effects of each method of contraception. Efforts to overcome these problems require an effort to provide counseling or Information and Education (IEC) to each prospective family planning acceptor. This study aims to determine the effect of providing family planning counseling on the knowledge of women of reproductive age about 3-month family planning injections at PMB Nining Setiawan in 2023. This type of research uses a quasy experimental research design with a one group pretest posttest design. The population of this study were all women of childbearing age who used 3-month family planning injections at PMB Nining Setiawan. The sampling technique used purposive sampling based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 30 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet which was analyzed using paired t-tests. The results showed that there was an effect of providing family planning counseling on the knowledge of women of childbearing age about 3-month family planning injections at PMB Nining Setiawan Indragiri Hulu District in 2023 with a p-value = 0.000 (p<0.005). It is hoped that midwives can improve counseling or communication, information, and education (IEC) about family planning injections so that women of childbearing age will increase their knowledge so that they can take appropriate action in family planning.

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a disorder of the blood vessels that results in the supply of oxygen and nutrients carried by the blood being obstructed to the body's tissues. Hypertension is often referred to as the Silent Killer, because it is a dark killer disease without being accompanied by symptoms first. Soursop leaf (Annona Muricata Linn) is a traditional medicine used as a therapy for hypertension, the content of soursop leaves which is thought to reduce blood pressure is potassium ions. High potassium levels can increase sodium excretion, as a result it can reduce blood volume & blood pressure. Menopause in women is associated with the depletion of ovarian follicles accompanied by physical and psychological changes. One of the comorbidities often experienced by menopausal women is hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of soursop leaf decoction on lowering blood pressure in menopausal women with hypertension. This type of research is a quasi experiment (quasi experimen). This study uses a one group pretest-postest design, which is a treatment design using only the experimental group without a comparison or control group. Based on the results of the study seen from 15 respondents obtained with the Wilcoxon test results, it can be seen that the resulting p-value is 0.000. This means that p < (a = 0.05), this shows that there are changes in blood pressure in wa.

Abstract

A mother can prevent her baby from dying in the first month of life if she breastfeeds her baby within 60 minutes after birth. However, the lack of knowledge and understanding of parents, doctors or health workers about the importance of IMD, as well as the reluctance to implement IMD, makes its implementation difficult. One of the reasons for the success or failure of IMD lies in the midwife. Because they are the ones who encourage and educate postpartum mothers to implement IMD. This research is included in the type of analytical research using a cross-sectional research design. The general aim of the research is to determine the relationship between maternal characteristics and early breastfeeding practices after giving birth. Meanwhile, specifically, this research seeks to identify the relationship between maternal knowledge, attitudes, age and parity of postpartum mothers who practice early breastfeeding at the Feronika Hutajulu Midwife Practice. Sampling was carried out using a non-probability sampling technique with a total sampling method of 26 people. Data collection uses a questionnaire. From analysis of research data using the chi-square test with a confidence level of 5% (a=0.05) knowledge data had a p value of 0.000, attitude data had a p value of 0.000, age data had a p value of 0.014, and parity data had a p value of 0.020. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal knowledge, maternal attitude, maternal age and maternal parity on the implementation of IMD.
