Abstract

During the puerperium, anemia can occurs in mothers who had lower than nor-mal hemoblobin levels. This condition could caused iron loss, onterfere with the lactatio process, anda cause the uterus to fail to contract because not enough blood enters oxygen to the uterus. The strongest factor causing post partum ane-mia was blood loss during delivery, both moderate and large. Events that cause the mother to lose moderate to large amounts of blood, nameli interventions dur-ing labor such as episiotomy, delivery using a vacuum; third or fourth degree perineal laceration; and caesarean section. The provision of non-drug therapy that can be given to increase hemoglobin levels was to provide iron containing nutrients. The research aim to determine the effect of bangun-bangun leaf  juice on hemoglobin levels for postpartum mother in the Working area of Puskesmas Talun Kenas. This research was a type of quantitative research that is quasi-experiment. The population of this study is all postpartummothers in the work area of Puskesmas Talun Kenas. The samples obtained were 25 people with accidental sampling technique. The statistical test used was the paired sample t test, with a 95% confidence level (? = 0,05). Abstract

The toddler period is a very important period and needs serious attention. During this period the life process of growth and development takes place very rapidly, namely physical growth and psychomotor, mental and social development. The nutritional status of children under five is an important thing that must be known by every parent. Mothers play an important role in supporting efforts to overcome nutritional problems, especially in terms of family nutrition, starting from food preparation, selection of food ingredients, to the food menu. Mothers who have good nutritional status will give birth to well-nourished children. Lack of parental nutrition and health knowledge, especially mothers is one of the causes of malnutrition in children under five. Mother's knowledge about nutrition is what the mother knows about healthy food for a certain age group and how the mother chooses, processes and prepares food properly. The aim is to determine the relationship between the mother's level of knowledge and the pattern of complementary feeding of breast milk on the nutritional status of toddlers 6-12 months in the working area of the Rantang Health Center, Sei Putih Tengah Village, Medan Petisah District, North Sumatra. This type of research is an analytic method with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study were all children aged 6-12 months inti the Rantang Health Center, namely 54 children. Bivariate analysis used the Chi-Square (?2) statistical test. The results of the statistical test obtained a p value of 0.002 (? <0.05), which means that there is a relationship, namely the relationship between maternal nutritional knowledge regarding the pattern of giving complementary foods and the nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-24 months

Abstract

Using computers for long periods of time can cause various health problems, especially the eyes. According to the American Optometric Association (AOA), the symptoms mentioned, such as eye strain and difficulty focusing, are common in people who frequently use computers for more than 2 hours at work. Therefore, it is important for workers who use computers as a primary aid to take steps to protect their eye health. This type of research is a type of quantitative research, namely quasi-experimental pre-test post-test one group design. This design uses only one group, namely the Experiment group without the Control group. Pre-test and post-test techniques will be carried out on employees using computers at BPJS Claims. The flow of this research is that the researcher conducts a pretest on the sample then is given treatment, after being given treatment then a post test is carried out. Based on the results of the Nonparametric Test using the Wilcoxon Test, the p value (0.001) ? (0.05) can be concluded that the hypothesis in the study is accepted, meaning that there are differences in the level of eye fatigue before and after Eye Exercises and Warm Compresses for Computer User Employees at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital . Based on the measurement results using the observation sheet, most of the employees experienced moderate eye fatigue as many as 12 people, therefore it is expected that computer users can apply the interventions provided and become input and increase workers' knowledge about occupational diseases that arise due to work and are also expected to reduce the level of eye fatigue that occurs in workers.

Abstract

Complementary Feeding is food and drinks given to babies who have reached the age of 6 months and above to fulfill their nutritional needs. Therefore Complementary Feeding is only introduced to babies after they reach the age of 6 months or older. Complementary Feeding represents the transitional stage from breastfeeding to family foods gradually, both in terms of types and frequency of provision, portion sizes, and the form of food that is suitable for the age and digestive capacity of the baby. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of counseling on MP-ASI on the knowledge and attitudes of mothers of toddlers aged 0-24 months at Nurtiana Ginting Clinic from December 2023 to March 2024. This research method uses an experimental approach with a pre-experimental design known as the one-group pretest-posttest design. In this approach, before counseling, respondents were asked to fill out questionnaires before (pretest) and after (posttest) counseling. Subsequently, the researcher compared the results of the pretest with the posttest. The research sample consisted of 38 mothers who had toddlers aged 0-24 months. Bivariate data analysis used the Wilcoxon test because the data were not normally distributed. Initially, only 5 respondents (13%) had good knowledge. However, after counseling, the number of respondents with good knowledge increased to 34 people (89%). The attitudes of mothers before counseling showed that 11 respondents (29%) had good attitudes, while after counseling, the number of respondents with good attitudes increased to 32 people (84%). The results of bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the knowledge and attitudes of mothers of toddlers after counseling. These findings indicate that nutrition counseling is effective in carving positive changes in the knowledge and attitudes of mothers of toddlers. The implication of this research is the need for broader and more focused nutrition counseling programs to support the health and nutrition of toddlers.

Abstract

As of 2018, just 44% of babies worldwide were breastfed within an hour of their delivery, based on the World Healthcare Organization (WHO). By the time they are six months old, under forty percent of children worldwide are exclusively breastfed. The purpose of this study is to find out how oxytocin massage impacts postpartum moms' ability to produce breast milk at the Hj Clinic. Dermawati Medan. This investigation applies an experimental approach without a control group, using a single group pretest and posttest. All postpartum women who visited the clinic between the third and seventh days were used as the study population. Dermawati. Five people were used in the purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out by a paired t test, namely comparing the data from the pre-test (before therapy) with the post-test (after treatment). It emerged that the routine findings from the test were crucial. The Shapiro-Wilk test results for before and after the oxytocin treatment demonstrated that the distribution of the data was normal (p value = 0.119 > 0.05) and that the allocation was taken out (p value = 0.006 > 0.05). if so, it can be said that the data is distributed normally. At the Hj Dermawati Clinic, a p value (0.00 < 0.05) was achieved for the Paired Sample T Test results using the mother's milk volume variable both prior to and following the oxytocin massage test. The results of this research illustrate how postpartum mothers at the Hj Dermawati Clinic produce greater amounts of breast milk as an effect of oxytocin massage. It is recommended that mothers and families take oxytocin therapy education so they can carry out the therapy themselves at home at least once a week

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB), caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, is an infectious disease that spreads globally and is the second largest cause of death after HIV/AIDS. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately one third of the world's population is believed to be infected with M. tuberculosis, with 10% of them at risk of developing the disease. Tuberculosis germs generally infect the lungs, but can also attack other body organs. Transmission occurs through close contact with pulmonary tuberculosis sufferers who have BTA (+), where each sufferer can transmit this disease to 10-15 people each year. Factors that influence a person's risk of developing pulmonary tuberculosis include weakness in the body's immune system, which can be caused by a lack of nutritional intake and other factors. The aim of this research is to find out the characteristics of pulmonary TB sufferers. The research method used was descriptive analytical, with 37 pulmonary TB sufferers as samples selected using accidental sampling techniques at Community Health Center X. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire, and the measurement results were analyzed using a frequency distribution table. The results of the study showed that the majority of tuberculosis (TB) sufferers were over 45 years old, reaching 54.1%, the majority of TB sufferers were men, with a percentage of 70.3%, the majority of TB sufferers had elementary school education, with the number reaching 48 .6%, The majority of TB sufferers work as farmers and employees, which reaches 32.4%, The majority of TB cases are old cases, accounting for 56.8%, The majority of TB sufferers receive treatment regularly, reaching 54.1%, and The majority of TB sufferers TB was declared cured after treatment, with the number reaching 75.7% of the total sample. The conclusion is that these results reflect the general profile of TB sufferers in the population studied. This provides an overview of the demographic characteristics, disease history, and response to treatment of TB sufferers in the context of the research conducted. It is recommended that this data can be used as a basis for planning more effective interventions and treatment strategies as well as more targeted prevention efforts in controlling TB disease in the future.
