Abstract

Background: Anxiety is still widespread among pregnant women in Indonesia, and the frequency of this condition is relatively significant. During the third trimester of pregnancy, pregnant women experience a higher level of anxiety compared to the previous trimester. This is because they are more concerned about the labor and delivery procedure that they will go through as well as the pain that they will face during the birth process—taking in the murottal of the Al-Qur'an, which has the potential to induce a soothing effect.    Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate how murottal Al-Qur'an influences third trimester pregnant women's anxiety level. Methode: The study design was a quasi-experiment with a control design that was used before and after the experiment. The study sample was made up of 60 pregnant women from Bandung who were in their third trimester and were between 28 and 36 weeks along. There were 30 expecting women in each of the two groups: the control group and the intervention group. Anxiety observation sheets were used to gather information. The results were looked at with the Mann Whitney test. Result: The intervention group was found to have a mean difference of 9.27, while the control group had a mean difference of 1.17. The Mann-Whitney test results, which were obtained by comparing the posttest results of the intervention group and the control group, indicated that murottal Al-Qur'an had a significant impact on the reduction of anxiety in third-trimester expectant women (p value = 0.017 < 0.05). Conclusion: Murottal al-Qur'an affects anxiety of third-trimester pregnant women.. Suggestion: It is hoped that future researchers will carry out further research by adding variables that can influence the anxiety of pregnant women in the third trimester and a larger number of respondents studied.

Abstract

Childbirth is a process that begins with uterine contractions, followed by the opening of the cervix, birth of the baby, and expulsion of the placenta. During this process, mothers often experience pain and anxiety. One way to deal with pain is with the counter pressure technique, which is a massage using the fist that provides constant pressure on the spine during contractions. Additionally, increased anxiety can worsen pain during labor. One method that can be used to manage anxiety is five-finger hypnosis, a form of self-hypnosis that can create deep relaxation, thereby reducing tension and stress. This study aims to assess the reduction in pain and anxiety in five mothers who are in the first stage of labor after receiving counter pressure therapy and five finger hypnosis. The methods used include SOP for counter pressure, five finger hypnosis, observation sheets, Wong-Baker pain scale, and STAI anxiety scale. The results showed a reduction in pain and anxiety after the intervention, indicating that counter pressure therapy and five finger hypnosis were effective in reducing pain and anxiety during the first stage of labor.

Abstract

Introduction: Banana blossom s a type of plant that contains lactagogum which has the potential to stimulate the hormones oxytocin and prolactin such as alkaloids, polyphenols, steroids, flavonoids and other substances which are most effective n ncreasing and facilitating production. Objective: To determine the smooth daily volume of breast milk n post partum mothers before giving banana blossoms and to determine the smooth daily volume of breast milk n post partum mothers after giving banana blossoms. Method: This research uses a quantitative research design with a one group pretest-posttest design model, that s, before t s carried out, observations are made on the sample and after treatment, observations are made again. The data collection technique was carried out using an ncidental sampling technique. Results: Based on the probability of the test results listed n the table, t can be seen that the resulting probability s 0.000. This means that the probability < level of significance (? = 0.05), so that Ha s accepted and H0 s rejected. Thus, t can be stated that there s a significant difference between the smoothness of post-partum mothers’ breast milk before giving banana blossoms (Pretest) and the smoothness of post-partum mothers’ breast milk after giving banana blossoms (Posttest). Conclusion: So t can be said that there s an nfluence of giving banana (Musa Paradisiaca Normalis) blossoms on Smooth breastfeeding for post-partum mothers at Cahaya Clinic, Lubuk Pakam Regency in 2024.

Abstract

During pregnancy there are changes in pregnant women, both physical and psychological, which often make pregnant women feel uncomfortable, Swelling in the legs is one of the pregnancy discomforts that pregnant women often complain about and 80% are found in pregnant women in the third trimester. Oedema causes discomfort in pregnant women and can even hinder some activities (1). This study aims to determine the effect of warm water soaking therapy on leg oedema in pregnant women in the third trimester. This study uses a quantitative research design with a one-group pretest-posttest design model, namely observations are made on samples before being given warm water therapy and observations are made again after being given warm water therapy. Samples were taken by purposive sampling. Based on the probability of the test results listed in the table, it can be known that the resulting probability is 0.01. This means that the probability < level of significance (? = 0.05), so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This means that there is a significant difference between lower limb oedema in pregnant women in the third trimester before giving warm water soaking (Pretest) and oedema of the lower limbs in pregnant women in the third trimester after giving warm water soaking (Postest). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an Effect of Warm Water Soaking on the Increase of Leg Oedema in Pregnant Women in the Third Trimester at the Pratama Cahaya Lubuk Pakam Clinic in 2024.

Abstract

Premenopause is something that is very worried and feared by every mother. Changes that occur during the premenopause period will lead to decreased estrogen hormone production accompanied by psychological and physical complaints, which are characterized by irregular menstrual cycles with prolonged menstrual bleeding and large bleeding sizes accompanied by pain. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers about pre menopause. This type of research is analytic with a cross sectional design in this study a population of 60 premenopausal women. The sample of this study was 38 people with purvosive sampling technique. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers about premenopause (p = 0.00). Mother's knowledge in dealing with premenopause is lacking and mother's attitude in dealing with premenopause is positive. Mother's knowledge is lacking because the mother has never received information about premenopause and has never received health education about premenopause. A positive mother's attitude is caused because the mother is able to divert unpleasant feelings into positive things by doing various activities, and assumes that what is experienced during premenopause is a natural thing that will be experienced by every mother. It is hoped that health workers will provide health education about premenopause, and premenopausal mothers are expected to be proactive in seeking information related to premenopause.

Abstract

Meatball snacks are one of the most popular culinary delights in Indonesia, nutrition in the form of animal protein which is important for the growth and development of our bodies can be obtained from consuming meatballs, but what is worrying is that there are irresponsible sellers who are not responsible for maintaining consumer health, namely adding borax as a food additive so that meatballs last longer and are more chewy, the use of borax in food can cause health problems. The Pekenan Pasar Sore area is an area that is one of the places where meatball sellers sell their wares, therefore the author conducted a study on the detection of borax content with turmeric filtrate in meatball snacks sold in the Pekenan Pasar Sore area, with the aim of finding out whether or not there are meatball sellers in the area who add borax to the ingredients for making their meatballs. This research was conducted from June to August 2024. This type of research is qualitative. The meatball samples in this study were meatballs from meatball traders in the Pekenan Pasar Sore area, Beringin District, totaling 12 traders taken by total sampling. Organoleptic tests and detection of borax content were carried out on meatball samples with turmeric filtrate. The data were analyzed descriptively. From the results of the study, it was found that the physical characteristics of the A-L meatball sample included having a natural meat aroma, gray color, and a texture that was not too chewy. And the results of the borax test on the A-L meatball sample with turmeric filtrate produced a yellow color. So from these results it shows that the A-L meatball sample sold by meatball sellers in the Pekenan Pasar Sore area does not contain borax.
