Abstract

The development of the era followed by an increase in technological sophistication has resulted in easy access to information through various media including social media. Teenagers as one of the most active groups of people using technology are highly exposed to the influence of social media. This phenomenon has both positive and negative impacts on the behavior and mindset of adolescents, especially in accessing pornographic content. This study aims to look at the relationship between social media exposure and adolescent behavior in accessing pornographic content. This study used a cross-sectional analytic research approach with a total sample size of 76 samples. The sampling method used was probability proportional to size. The data source in this study is primary data obtained directly from adolescents through filling out questionnaires. Adolescents who easily access information media and have consumed pornography amounted to 48.7%, while adolescents who have difficulty accessing information media and have consumed pornography amounted to 83.8%, with a p value of 0.001. There is a relationship between information media access and pornography consumption. Despite the government's efforts to restrict pornographic content, this does not prevent teenagers from consuming pornographic content. They look for other alternatives in the form of media to access the content as stated by the teenagers in this study. Teenagers admitted that pornographic content is mostly accessed through websites, social media, whatsapp groups and telegrams. They access pornographic videos and photos more than pornographic stories/comics or porn games.

Abstract

Childhood obesity is defined as excessive accumulation of body fat, which can trigger various diseases. Exclusive breastfeeding is very important to prevent babies from gaining weight too quickly. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between obesity and early complementary feeding in infants. This study used an analytical approach with a cross-sectional study type. The sample in this study were respondents who met the established criteria. Sampling in this study used accidental sampling, with a sample of 42 respondents. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aged > 18 - 24 months, namely 14 respondents (33.33%) and were male, namely 25 respondents (59.52%). The majority of infants' weight was in the normal category, namely 41 respondents (97.62%). The majority of early complementary feeding was not given, namely 22 respondents (52.35%). Statistical analysis using Chi-square test obtained a value of ? (0.300) > ? (0.05), so there was no significant relationship between the provision of early complementary foods and the incidence of obesity in infants. The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between the incidence of obesity and the provision of early complementary foods. By increasing the knowledge of mothers about complementary foods through cooperation between educators and health institutions, it is expected to improve the nutritional quality of infants and support their optimal growth and development

Abstract

Early breastfeeding initiation (EBI) is the stage of breastfeeding that begins immediately after birth, where the baby is placed in skin contact with the mother. This process lasts for at least one hour. This process brings various benefits, both for the baby and the mother. However, the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (EBI) is often caused by various factors, both from within the mother and from the surrounding environment. The following study aims to identify factors that can influence the implementation of IMD at Butar Community Health Centre. The type of research conducted is descriptive analytics through a cross-sectional design. The population in the following study includes all mothers who received delivery services at Butar Community Health Centre during the period July to November, with a total of 128 people. A total of 103 respondents were selected as samples using the Slovin formula technique. Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately by applying the chi-square test. The study results showed a p-value of 0.000<0.05, which proves that there is no significant correlation between husband support and the implementation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (EBI). In addition, a p-value of 0.900 > 0.05 also indicates that there is no significant correlation between community trust and the implementation of EBF. It is hoped that this research will motivate all health workers and health service providers to better understand the EBF protocol in accordance with WHO and Ministry of Health standards. Furthermore, it is hoped that the officers will be able to encourage mothers to immediately carry out EBF after receiving delivery assistance.

Abstract

and child health. The KIA book is useful in providing information and guidance for mothers and children. In addition, the KIA book plays a role in monitoring fetal development during pregnancy, so that more effective referrals can be obtained. ANC examination is an examination carried out during pregnancy to ensure the health of the mother and fetus. The aim is to detect early potential dangers that may occur to the mother and fetus and to improve the physical and mental health of pregnant women. The examination is processed periodically with a minimum of six times during pregnancy. The type of research uses a quantitative research design in the form of an observational analytical survey through a cross-sectional approach which aims to identify the Relationship between the Utilization of the KIA Book and Compliance with ANC Visits of Pregnant Women. The number of samples was 32 pregnant women in the third trimester who were determined by total sampling. The results prove that most respondents do not utilize the KIA book so that they are less compliant in making ANC visits. In addition, the p value of 0.011 means that there is a close relationship between the utilization of the KIA book and the compliance of pregnant women in attending ANC visits. It is necessary to increase the interest of pregnant women to always use the KIA book correctly so that they will routinely comply with attending ANC visits and can improve the health of mothers and babies.

Abstract

Breast engorgement is a condition in which the breasts become overly filled with milk, causing swelling, hardness, and pain. The prevalence of breast engorgement Indonesia in 2021 was 37.12%, which was the highest in ASEAN. The condition can be alleviated through non-pharmacological methods, such as warm compresses, which have no side effects. The study aimed to determine the application of warm compresses in managing breast engorgement. This study used a literature review with a scoping review approach. The study was conducted from November 2024 to February 2025. Data were collected from various digital databases, including PubMed Central, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, SINTA, Google Scholar, and Portal Garuda published from 2020 to 2024. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the data. Relevant articles was selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and processed using the PRISMA-ScR flow diagram. 12 articles were identified for analysis.12 articles were analized by thematic analysis. The application of warm compresses 5 between 30 minutes in 3 days significantly reduces breast engorgement. Warm compress therapy offers several benefits, including reducing breast pain and swelling, promoting vasodilation, enhancing milk production, facilitating smoother milk flow, stimulating the let-down reflex, and improving breast emptying.

Abstract

Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) constitutes a critical obstetric emergency arising subsequent to either vaginal birth or cesarean delivery. Its defining characteristic is a quantifiable blood loss surpassing a volume of 500 milliliters. PPH underscores its significance as a major factor influencing both the prevalence of maternal illness and the rates of maternal death in Indonesia and globally. This study aimed to examine the effect of anemia in pregnant women on the PPH incidence at dr. H. Koesnadi General Hospital, Bondowoso, in 2018. The design used a retrospective study with a cross-sectional. The population consisted of 57 postpartum mothers, with 46 respondents as samples determined using Slovin's formula. Probability sampling technique was employed, specifically simple random sampling. Data acquisition was conducted utilizing a standardized checklist, and subsequent statistical analysis involved the application of the Chi-Square test, executed via SPSS version 25. The analysis yielded a statistically significant result, with a p-value of 0.001 (p<0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. Consequently, the findings indicate a significant association between the presence of anemia and the PPH occurrence. In anemic pregnant women, reduced oxygen supply leads to fatigue and inadequate uterine muscle contractions, resulting in postpartum hemorrhage.

Abstract

Breast Care is one method that can be used to overcome problems in the breastfeeding process, especially during the postpartum period, so that the process of releasing breast milk can run smoothly. Side effects that arise due to the use of drugs containing chemicals, a simple and efficient care solution is needed. Health services highlight the importance of providing quality and effective care, which can also be done independently. This study applies a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. The study was conducted at PMB E in January 2025, involving 15 breastfeeding postpartum mothers selected using the total sampling method. Measurement of pain levels was carried out using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), while breast engorgement was assessed using the Six Point Engorgement Scale (SPES), both before and after the intervention was given. The results of this study indicate that breastcare interventions are effective in reducing breast engorgement and pain intensity in postpartum mothers. The average breast engorgement decreased from 2.46 to 1.32 after the intervention, with a decrease of 1.14. Meanwhile, the average pain intensity decreased from 3.88 to 2.34 after the intervention, with a decrease of 1.54. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test showed that there was a significant effect of breast care on the smoothness of breast milk in postpartum mothers, with a p value = 0.000 (? <0.05). Therefore, breast care can be used as an effective alternative therapy to increase the smoothness of breast milk in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

The smooth provision of breast milk (ASI) during the postpartum period is still a challenge that needs special attention, one of which is influenced by the level of knowledge of mothers about breast care. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge of postpartum mothers about breast care and the smoothness of breastfeeding at the Millenium Clinic in 2024. This study used an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers who visited the Millenium Clinic as many as 31 people (N = 31). The total population technique was used so that the entire population was used as a sample. The results showed that most postpartum mothers (19 respondents, 61.3%) had a low level of knowledge, while 7 respondents (22.6%) had a sufficient level of knowledge, and only 5 respondents (16.1%) had good knowledge. In addition, the majority of postpartum mothers (21 respondents, 67.7%) experienced poor breastfeeding, while 10 respondents (32.3%) reported smooth breastfeeding. The results of statistical analysis with a 95% confidence level showed a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of postpartum mothers about breast care and the smoothness of breast milk production (p < 0.001). It can be concluded that increasing postpartum mothers' knowledge about breast care is closely related to the smoothness of breast milk production. Therefore, it is recommended for health workers to develop comprehensive health promotion and education programs regarding breast care, especially for postpartum mothers in their respective work areas.
