Abstract

This study aims to determine and explain the effect of asset structure, profitability (return on equity) and sales growth on the capital structure of food and beverage companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2020 period. To achieve this goal, a research was conducted using secondary data taken from the Indonesian stock exchange with website: www.idx.co.id. By using purposive sampling, the research sample was 14 companies and used multiple linear regression as an analytical tool. The results show that: First, asset structure has a positive and significant effect on capital structure, profitability (return on equity) has a negative and insignificant effect on capital structure and sales growth has a positive and significant effect on capital structure in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchangefor the 2015-2020 period. Second, variations in asset structure, profitability (return on equity) and sales growth are able to explain variations in capital structure by 21.9 percent.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of institutional ownership and managerial ownership on firm value with profitability as the intervening variable. The data in this study used annual reports from 16 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2020. The data collection technique used a purposive sampling technique obtained from the website www.idx.co.id and each website from a sample company. Data processing uses a panel data regression model. The results of the study reveal that institutional ownership has a positive and significant effect on profitability while managerial ownership has a positive and insignificant effect on profitability. Institutional ownership and profitability have a positive and significant effect on firm value and managerial ownership has a positive and insignificant effect on firm value. Profitability is able to mediate institutional ownership of firm value, but profitability is unable to mediate managerial ownership of firm value.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to analyze the factors that influence the decisions of new students for the 2022/2023 academic year of the lecture management study program at the Faculty of Economics, Catholic University of Santo Thomas Medan. Total sample of 189 respondents, data collection with questionnaires and documentation, method of analysis with factor analysis. The results showed that of the 36 factors that most dominantly influenced the decision of new students T.A 2022/2023 to study at the Catholic University of Economics, Santo Thomas Medan, it turned out that the most dominant were: Factor 1: Compatibility of subjects with a variety of courses, accreditation status, having student dormitory Image, quality of education and reputation. Factor 2 : Opportunity to get a scholarship , Public transportation, Has sports facilities and curriculum. Factor 3: Guaranteed future income, graduate quality and interest. Factor 4: Ease of getting a job, strategic campus location and complete facilities. Factor 5: More affordable tuition fees and expected job suitability. Factor 6: Family encouragement and tuition fees can be paid in stages. Factor 7 : Improving the social status of the family and Improving the economic situation of the family. Factor 8: Lecture time is more flexible and educational staff. Factor 9: Number of teaching staff, parental encouragement and recommendations from schools. Factor 10: Environmental security and the expected work in accordance with the choice of major. Factor 11: Quality of teaching staff and encouragement of friends. Factor 12: Greater job opportunities are accepted and alumni success. Factor 13: Having a commitment to learn, Creating a better future and Alumni recommendations. Researchers who only examined 36 factors, it is hoped that researchers will add further research indicators that are considered to influence prospective students in choosing a college study program. This research can be used as a reference for consideration in improving further research as well as for higher education management. For further research, it is hoped that the researcher will be able to increase the number of respondents who are sampled for potential student candidates.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the layout of production facilities that can guarantee the smooth running of the production process at the Anugerah Cipta Nusantara tofu factory in Medan Selayang District, Medan. The total sample is all employees of the Tofu Factory Anugerah Cipta Nusantara. Analysis technique with qualitative descriptive analysis.The results showed that the layout used by Anugerah Cipta Nusantara tofu factory was a line layout (line layout) because it was considered easier to transfer raw materials and more focused in supporting the smooth production process. Laying out production facilities used can streamline time in the production process so that there is no wastage of time in preparing tofu production materials which can increase production results. The advantage of the line layout is that it is easy to set up production facilities located in the tofu factory and the materials produced are quickly processed and the supervision aspect is relatively easy so that the line layout is the layout of choice to apply. It is best if the Anugerah Cipta Nusantara tofu factory produces quality tofu at competitive prices and increases production volume, number of employees and provides modern machines considering that tofu consumers are increasingly in demand.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that influence student decisions in choosing Private Higher Education, Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas. The population of this research are active students at the Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas, Faculty of Economics, Stambuk 2022. The sample used are 100 people. Sampling technique using probability sampling and simple random sampling. While data collection techniques through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques using SPSS 20.00 for windows software with factor analysis. The variables used are product, price, physical evidence, people, campus promotions, reference groups, motivation, economic circumstances, personal. Test KMO and Barlett test which shows value Kaiser-Mayer-Olkin Meansure of Sampling adequacy (KMO MSA) of 0.871 with a significance value of 0.000 means that the existing variables and samples can be analyzed using factor analysis. All factors researched had an MSA value of > 0.5, meaning that these variables could still be predicted and analyzed further. Furthermore, the extraction value for each variable is above 0.50, meaning that all indicators are considered capable of explaining the factors. The results showed that 2 new factors were formed, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are the dominant factors that have an influence on student decisions in choosing Private Higher Education, Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of leadership style and compensation on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT Hilon Sumatra. Primary data was obtained through questionnaires and secondary data using documentation techniques. The total population of this study was 66 people and by means of a saturated sampling technique, the sample was also 66 people. The data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis, but first tested the validity and reliability as well as the classical assumption test, and then tested the hypothesis with the t, F and Sobel tests. The results of this study indicate that leadership style and compensation together have a significant effect on job satisfaction and leadership style, compensation and job satisfaction together have a significant effect on employee performance. Partially, leadership style and compensation have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and leadership style, compensation and job satisfaction partially have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Leadership style and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance and job satisfaction is able to mediate the influence of style and compensation on employee performance at PT Hilon Sumatra.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of Airlines Tangibles, Terminal Tangibles, Personnel Quality, Empathy, and Airline Image partially and simultaneously on Customer Satisfaction of Garuda Indonesia Aircraft users. The number of samples was 96 respondents with primary and secondary data collection techniques, linear regression analysis techniques. double. The results showed that respondents' responses to the Airlines Tangibles variable were more dominant in stating that Airlines Tangibles (Relating to the interior of the aircraft used by airlines) owned by Garuda aircraft was very good, more dominantly stating that Terminal Tangibles (Relating to facilities and infrastructure at the airport) which owned by the airport is good, the Personnel Quality variable is more dominant stating that Personnel Quality (relating to the quality of flight attendant service on the plane) is good, the Empathy variable is more dominant stating that Empathy (relating to sincere and individual attention from flight attendants to passengers) is good, Airline Image variable is more dominant stating that Airline Image (relating to customer or consumer perceptions of the brand or company service as a whole) is good, the Customer Satisfaction variable is more dominant stating that Cu Customer Satisfaction (Related to a person's feelings after he compares (evaluates) between expectations and the results (performance) he feels after he buys or uses a product or service) is satisfactory. The Garuda Indonesia airline needs to know consumer expectations regarding airline tangibles in order to increase customer satisfaction. It is also necessary to pay attention to the condition of the facilities and infrastructure available from the airport side. This is related to the availability of executive lounges at the airport which can provide comfort to passengers while waiting for departure. To increase customer satisfaction, Garuda Indonesia needs to know what expectations consumers have regarding terminal tangibles so as to increase customer satisfaction. To increase customer satisfaction, Garuda Indonesia needs to know what expectations consumers have regarding personnel quality, Empathy and Airline Image so as to increase customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation, training and work discipline on employee performance at PT BPR NBP 20 Delitua. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 36 respondens. From the results of the study obtained multiple regression equations as follows: Y = 1,484 + 0.262X1 + 0.174 X2+ 0,480 X3 . All regression coefficient is are positive, meaning that all independent variables, namely compensation, training and work discipline, have a positive effect on the dependent variable, namely employee performance. Of the three independent variables, work discipline has a greater influence on employee performance because it has largest regression coefficient 0,480. Based on partial hypothesis testing, compensation, training and work discipline have a significant effect on employee performance where the significance value of each variables is smaller than alpha (0,05). Based on simultaneous hypothesis testing, the three independent variables, namely compensation, training and work disciplinehave a significanteffect on the dependent variable, namely employee performance. This can be seen from the significance value of 0,000< alpha (0,05). The coefficient of determination ( R Square of 0,850 means that employee performance can be explained by compensation, training and work discipline of 0,85 % while the remaining 15,00 % is explained by other variables not explained in this study such as motivation, work conditions and competence. From the result of research and discussion, PT BPR NBP 20 Delitua should develop and maintain indicators of compensation, training and work discipline on employee performance at PT BPR NBP 20 Delitua.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand trust consisting of brand predictability, brand liking, brand competence, brand reputation and trust in the company partially and simultaneously on purchasing decisions for Oppo mobile phones. The number of samples is 96 respondents. Multiple linear regression analysis technique and to test the hypothesis used t and F test. The results showed that respondents' responses regarding: brand predictability were more dominant stating the predictability of the brand owned by Oppo cellphones was very good, brand competence was more dominant indicating brand competence owned by Oppo cellphones had been well developed, brand preference was more dominant in expressing preference for the brand owned. Oppo cellphones are good, Reputation is more dominant stating that the brand reputation owned by Oppo cellphones is very good, Trust in the company is more dominant stating that trust in the company owned by Oppo cellphones is very good and Purchasing decisions are more dominant stating that purchasing decisions owned by Oppo cellphones are in accordance with need . The t-test and F-test values show that the variables of brand predictability, brand preference, brand competence, brand reputation and trust in the company have a partially and simultaneously significant influence on the purchasing decision of Oppo mobile phones. The correlation coefficient value of brand predictability variables, brand preference, brand competence, brand reputation and trust in the company to brand loyalty has a strong relationship of r = 0.954a. While the coefficient of determination is 0.897, which means that the variables of brand predictability, brand preference, brand competence, brand reputation and trust in the company are able to explain 89.7% of the decision to buy Oppo mobile phones while 10.3% is influenced by other factors. Oppo mobile phone manufacturers should increase brand predictability variables, brand liking, brand competence, brand reputation and trust in the company so that they have more influence on purchasing decisions for Oppo mobile phones. This can be proven by the value of the regression coefficient which is much lower than the variable trust in the brand and brand reputation

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze customer experience which has a positive and significant effect on competitiveness, to know and analyze customer bonding which has a positive and significant effect on competitiveness, and to know and analyze customer experience and customer bonding which have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on competitiveness. to consumers in Mega Park Medan. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive research method. The population in this study were 96,000 consumers who had visited Mega Park Medan from January to June 2022. The technique for determining the sample in this study used Propotionate Stratified Random Sampling with a sample size of 100 respondents. The scale of data measurement in this study uses a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is instrument test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing and coefficient of determination test (R2). The results showed that (1) the variable customer experience has a positive and significant effect on competitiveness, (2) the variable customer bonding has a positive and significant effect on competitiveness, and (3) the variable customer experience and customer bonding simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on competitiveness. Competitive with consumers in Mega Park Medan.
