Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work discipline, compensation and organizational culture on employee performance at PT. Panca Putra Gilang Mandiri Medan. This research was conducted at PT. Panca Putra Gilang Mandiri Medan starts from April 2021 to August 2021. The population of this research is as many as 87 people, namely all employees who work at PT. Panca Putra Gilang Mandiri. The sample of this research is all employees of PT. Panca Putra Gilang Mandiri, totaling 87 people. This study uses the sensu method. The instrument used is a questionnaire to collect research data from the variables of work discipline, compensation, organizational culture and employee performance. The data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, research description analysis, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression analysis, partial hypothesis test or t test, simultaneous hypothesis test or F test and coefficient of determination. The results of the descriptive analysis for work discipline, compensation and organizational culture are in the fairly good category , while the employee performance is in a good category. From the partial analysis, work discipline, compensation and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. From the simultaneous analysis of work discipline, compensation and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The contribution of work discipline, compensation and organizational culture variables in improving employee performance variables was 65.9%, while the remaining 34.1% of employee performance variables were explained by other variables that were not included in the study such as recruitment, employee loyalty and so on.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the innovative work behavior of the local government employees in North Sumatera Utara.This study investigates the hypothesis of the antecedents of innovative work behavior consist of transformational leadership style, psychological empowerment, and affective commitment.The sampling technique used is stratified random sampling and purposive sampling,. This study includes 40 indicators and 786 participants.SmartPLS was used to process respondent data, which was then analyzed using the Structure Equation Model (SEM). In this study, three hypotheses are tested. This study uses a questionnaire as the main data collection tool from several selected areas. The results of this study are: (1) The transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on the innovative work behavior of local government ASN in North Sumatra Province; (2) psychological empowerment has a positive and significant effect on the innovative work behavior of local government ASN in North Sumatra Province; (3) affective commitment has a positive and significant effect on the innovative work behavior of local government ASN in the province of North Sumatra

Abstract

This study aims to understand the Work Environment and Organizational Culture on Organizational Commitment with Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable. There are many causes of job dissatisfaction, therefore this is very related because if employees experience dissatisfaction it will have an impact on increasing high turnover, which means that employees become disloyal to the organization related to organizational commitment. Sometimes simple things are not paid attention to, such as an uncomfortable work environment and organizational culture, reliable human resources can resign. One important factor within the company is managing human resources so that they can utilize them to optimize the achievement of the company's vision. This study used a sample of 100 employees at PT Sejati Karya Perkasa Medan which were processed using SPSS with path analysis statistics and the results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between work environment and organizational culture, job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Abstract

The Covid-19 virus pandemic has had an impact on the business world where one of those that has felt the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is the hotel and tourism industry in Surabaya. The government is anticipating an increase in the Covid-19 pandemic by imposing New Normal, including in Surabaya. This implementation has made the hospitality industry, which initially declined due to Covid-19, is now experiencing an increase. One of them is the Mercure Surabaya Grand Mirama Hotel. This hotel has experienced a decrease in the number of consumers in 2020 and 2021, but consumers will increase in 2022. The research objective is to analyze buying interest and purchasing decisions at the Mercure Surabaya Grand Mirama Hotel through product and price. The results of data processing prove that all statement items are valid, and all variables are reliable. The results of the study show that buying interest and purchasing decisions at the Mercure Surabaya Grand Mirama Hotel through product and price are said to be moderate. The next results show buying interest and purchasing decisions due to product and price, while buying interest is not the cause of purchasing decisions at the Mercure Hotel Surabaya Grand Mirama.

Abstract

The peak of tough competition and changes in the external environment forces an organizations to be able to adapt and make changes. However, most of organizations do not make changes because they are trapped by their own problems; this study aims to 1) Identify the type of disease experienced by Unika Santo Thomas Medan; 2) Explain the types of changes made by Unika Santo Thomas Medan; 3) Changes in the model of change left by Unika Santo Thomas Medan; 4) Knowing the change diagnosis model applied to Unika Santo Thomas Medan. This research is policy research because the research process is carried out on fundamental issues and the findings can be recommended to decision makers. The research data is secondary data obtained through interviews and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that in the period 1998 - 2015 Unika Santo Thomas Medan presented itself as an "organization in crisis". During the leadership of Rector Frietz R. Tambunan it was included in the category of "paranoid organization" and during the reign of Rector Sihol Situngkir it was a "dramatic organization". The type of change made by Rector Frietz R. Tambunan is transformational change with the positive change model from John Kotter and organizational diagnosis is done using the 7S framework model from McKinsey. The type of change made by Rector Sihol Situngkir was transformational change using the Appreciative Inquiry model of change and organizational diagnosis was carried out using the Leavitt model. In order Unika Santo Thomas Medan can achieve their vision and mission, it is important to make changes that are systematic and predictable with a positive change model and organizational diagnosis based on the star model.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between the quality of imported and local citrus fruit products and the level of consumer satisfaction during the Covid-19 pandemic, and to determine the attributes of imported and local citrus fruits based on the level of consumer satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic in the research area. Determination of the research area was carried out purposively (intentionally). The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation analysis, and fishbein multi-attribute analysis. The results showed that the product attributes of imported and local citrus fruits in terms of taste, size level, color, price level, water content, and fruit origin had a positive relationship to consumer satisfaction during the Covid-19 pandemic. The quality that has no positive relationship to consumer satisfaction is the seed content. The order of the attributes that consumers compare in purchasing imported and local oranges during the Covid-19 pandemic is the freshness attribute (23.57%) for imported and local oranges (22.99%).

Abstract

Coffee is one of the important export commodities for the people of Indonesia which is able to contribute quite a large amount of foreign exchange. Siponjot Village, Lintong Nihuta District, is one of the villages that has a large potential for the development of Arabica coffee commodities because Siponjot village is the largest producer of Arabica coffee in Humbahas district. However, there are several obstacles faced in the development of coffee farming, including the calculation of production costs per cycle. Farmers do calculate costs, but it's limited to what costs they incur during production without calculating in detail the costs from land clearing to receiving the harvest, then they also don't know how much net income they get after deducting all costs, they also don't understand how calculate the break-even point and make a profit plan. This study aims to design the calculation of production costs for coffee commodities per cycle so that it is easier for farmers to find out the costs per cycle they incur and net income and then know the break-even point to make a bigger profit plan. This research was conducted in May-August 2022 in Lintong Nihuta District, Humbahas Regency, North Sumatra. The results of the study after calculating the production costs per cycle showed that in one coffee life cycle the farmers spent Rp. 551,368,400 with a yield of 29,940 kg and farmers experienced a profit of Rp. 346,831,600 per cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the work environment, discipline and technical training on the performance of technical staff at the Xi Pandan Forest Management Unit Technical Implementation Unit. This research applies descriptive and explanatory methods. Taking into account the relatively small number of members of the population, namely 32 people, all members of the population become the object of research. Thus this research was conducted by census method. Data collection techniques using interviews (intervew), and through distributing a list of questions (questionaire) to respondents. Research data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that competence, facilities and training simultaneously had a significant effect on performance in the Xi Pandan Region Forest Management Unit Technical Implementation Unit, competence and facilities partially had a positive and significant effect on performance while training partially had a positive and insignificant effect on performance in the Unit Technical Executor of the Xi Pandan Region Forest Management Unit. Performance variations can be explained by variations in competence, facilities and training of 86.4%
