Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of stock trading volume and stock prices on bid-ask spreads on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in research is 155 companies and by using purposive sampling as sampling technique, then the sample in this research is 46 company. The data used are secondary data and use multiple regression equation as an analytical tool. Based on the results of the research it can be argued that, trading volume and stock prices have a negative and significant effect on the bid-ask spread both before and after the data grouping. The results also show that stock trading in Indonesia Stock Exchange is liquid. Investors or potential investors who want to invest in the capital market should make trading volume and stock price as a reference in making investment decisions, because simultaneously these two variables have a significant effect on bid-ask spreads.

Abstract

Credit Union (CU) Karya Murni Medan is a business engaged in lending and receiving deposits. Members of the CU often complain because of the vulnerable process of administering credit until the disbursement phase, resulting in members less satisfied with the credit distribution system set by the CU. From the problem identification, formulated the research problem is "Does the credit channeling system have a significant influence on the satisfaction of CU members" .The research hypothesis "Is there any effect of credit distribution system on the satisfaction of CU members". The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of credit distribution system on the satisfaction of CU members. The benefits of research is to increase insight and knowledge of the author on the influence of credit distribution system to the satisfaction of CU members. The study population is all members of CUtahun 2016 as many as 7200 people. The sample was taken 96 people with maximum error sampling. Data collection techniques are documentation techniques and questionnaires. Data analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis.Conclusion: The credit disbursement system in CU has not been optimally satisfying the members, due to the length of time span between applications with credit realization. The credit interest rate offered is higher than other CU. Members of CU complain that they are not responding quickly enough to complain, if the application is approved, it is obliged to pay the administrative fee. The equations are y = 0.727 + 0.803.x. That is, the credit channeling system has a positive effect on the satisfaction of CU members. The correlation coefficient value is 0.769. That is, the credit channeling system has a positive relationship to the satisfaction of CU members. Determinant coefficient value of 0,591, meaning that member satisfaction can be explained by credit distribution system equal to 59,1% while 40,9% again explained by other factor. The test results z-count = 11.646> z table = 0,000, then H0 is rejected. That is, the credit channeling system has a significant effect on the satisfaction of CU members, can be accepted at a significance level of 5%. Suggestion as information material. Instead, CU will accelerate the decision making of credit realization, to maintain member loyalty. Preferably, CU decreases loan interest rates in anticipation of the shift of members to other CUs that offer lower interest rates. To increase member satisfaction, CU should waive members on the credit administration costs . Because satisfaction on credit distribution system there are other factors as much as 40.9%, then CU Management should be in overcoming it requires system improvement and service improvement in various fields.

Abstract

PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan engaged in the retail market various products, such as fresh, bazaar, textile, and grocery applane. The number of customers who shop from January to December 2010 fluctuates every month and long lines occurred in August when the feast of Eid al-Fitr and December when the Christmas and New Year's Eve. From the description, formulated the following research problem: "Why is the gap between the queuing system raises expectations with actual service time at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Field ".The research objective was to determine and analyze the queuing system on PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan. Benefits of the research is to provide information material to the company in the form of advice regarding the analysis of queuing systems. The study population is the number of customers of PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Field from 2009 until 2010. The samples taken months from January to December 2010. Required data are collected through observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis technique used is descriptive method. From the results of the discussion was concluded that the long queues at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan often occur on Saturday at 17.00 pm - 20.00 pm, and on a Sunday or holiday queues at 12.00 am - 14.00 pm and at 17.00 pm - 20.00 pm. Standard service time for each customer at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan maximum of 1 minute, yet customers have to wait up to 20 minutes at the feast of Eid al-Fitr and Christmas Day at 9 minutes. Customer arrival rate at PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan is not constant, the time required to serve every customer is different, Kassa served on a first come, first served basis and unlimited customer population. The probability of unemployed workers pads reach 4%. The number of customers in the queuing system at 43 people. The probability of the whole staff busy pads reach 94.91%. Customer in the queue system to 33 people. The time spent waiting and served customers to reach 26 minutes. Time spent waiting for customers to be served up to 20 minutes. This shows that the waiting time to be served is still too high. Suggestions are given for consideration to the management company is the best, firms pay more attention to the system queue by adding pads officers to serve customers at the time of school entry, the feast of Eid al-Fitr and Christmas celebrations and other holidays to reduce the long queues . To avoid the presence of officers who are unemployed pads, the company should provide to an officer other duties such as checking and making gauze packing.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of liquidity ratio (curent ratio, leverage ratio (debt ratio) and the ratio of activity (total asset turnover) of the profit growth in consumer goods manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2008. The formulation of the problem is: Do curent ratio, debt ratio and total asset turnover effect on profit growth in consumer goods manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange? The population of this research is the consumer goods manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2008. The technique of sampling is a sampling technique that is easy (purposive sampling). Samples taken in this study is the income statement and balance sheet total of 32 companies manufacturing consumer goods companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2008. Data analysis and hypothesis testing is done by using a multiple linear regression model. The results were obtained curent Ratio (CR), Debt Ratio (DR), and Total Assets Turnover (TATO) and significant positive effect on earnings growth in consumer goods manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Partially that curent Ratio (CR) bepengaruh negative and significant profit growth; Debt Ratio (DR) and a significant negative effect on earnings growth, and Total Assets Turnover (TATO) and significant positive effect on earnings growth in consumer goods manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk menganalisis kinerja keuangan Bank Nasional dan Bank BUMN periode 2009 – 2011. Untuk menganalisis perbedaan kinerja keuangan Bank Nasional dengan Bank BUMN 2009 – 2011 dengan menggunakan proksi rasio keuangan CAR, RORA, NPM, ROA dan LDR. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode survey terhadap 18 Bank yang telah tercatat di BEJ. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik Independent Samples T Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan Capital Adequacy Ratio Loan to Deposit Ratio, dan Call Money antar Bank Nasional dengan Bank BUMN. Capital Adequacy Ratio kedua bank masih berada di atas kriteria kondisi baik yang ditetapkan Bank Indonesia, yaitu melebihi 8%. Kinerja keuangan dilihat dari RORA, ROA, NPM menunjukkan bahwa kinerja Bank BUMN lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan Bnak Naisonal. Bank Nasional dengan Bank BPTN memiliki kualitas aktiva produktif berbeda, tampak dari seperti kredit yang diberikan bank dan telah dicairkan, penempatan pada surat berharga, baik surat berharga pasar uang maupun surat berharga pasar modal.

Abstract

This study aims, First, to obtain the empirical evidence about the capital structure of non-financial firms in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Second, to obtain the empirical evidence about the impact of capital structure on the value of non-financial firms in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Third, to obtain the empirical evidence about the impact of profitability, size of the firm, growth opportunity, the structure of assets, and the cost of bankruptcy to capital structure of non-financial firms in Indonesia Stock Exchange. To achieve these objectives, conducted research on companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Research conducted on 163 companies with the observation period in 2011. All the required data obtained from the Indonesian Capital Market Directory. Furthermore, to explain the determinants of capital structure of the firm to used the t and F test with alpha 10 percent. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions as follows: First, the capital structure of the firm has a negative and significant effect on the value of the firm. Second, there is no optimal capital structure on a non-financial corporations. Third, the size of the firm, the structure of assets, and the cost of bankruptcy have positive and significant effect on the capital structure of the firm. Fourth, profitability and the growth opportunities of the firm does not significantly influence to the capital structure. Fifth, variations in the profitability, size of the firm, growth opportunities, the structure of assets, and the cost of bankruptcy are able to explain the variations of capital structure 10,2 percent. Sixth, the coefficient towards research results influence the profitability and bankruptcy costs the company is not in accordance with the trade-offs theory.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Return On Assets (ROA), Earning Per Share (EPS), Price Earning Ratio (PER) to Return of Stock at Hospitality Services Company listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. The benefits of research is to provide information material to investors in making investment decisions. The number of companies to be sampled are 5 Hospitality Services Companies, namely: Bayu Buana Tbk (BAYU), Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST), Grahamas Citrawisata Tbk (GMCW), Destination Tirta Nusantara Tbk (PDES), and Golden Eagle Energy Tbk SMMT). In this study used secondary data that is Financial Statements Hospitality Services Companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2010-2013 period that can be accessed via the internet. Method of data analysis used is multiple regression analysis (multiple regression analysis). Based on the result of research, the regression equation is obtained as follows: Return = 0,979 - 0,438 DER - 0,093 ROA + 0,002 EPS + 0,002 PER indicate that DER variable variable have negative and insignificant influence, ROA variable has negative and significant influence, EPS variable has positive and significant effect, and variable of PER have positive and insignificant effect to stock return. DER, ROA, EPS and PER simultaneously affect the stock return of hotel services company. value adjusted R2 of 0.909. This means that 90.9 percent of stock return variables can be explained by variations of DER, ROA, EPS and PER variables while the remaining 9.1 percent is explained by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of investment and labor force on economic growth in Indonesia. The population in this study were all provinces in Indonesia as many as 33 provinces as well as being sampled with the 2011-20014 study period. The analytical model used is multiple linear regression with panel data and fixed effects models, but first performed a classic assumption test. The results of the study show that the level of investment and labor force partially have a positive and significant influence on economic growth.
