Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the factors effect the quality of financial statement information on city government Medan. Based on the government regulation number 71 of 2010, the quality of financial statement information of central and regional government must fulfill qualitative characteristic. The factors are researched such as the competency of human resources, the system of internal contol, and the use of information technology The collecting data are done by giving questioner to 40 respondents which are SKPD staff.at the agency of regional financial management on city government Medan. All questioners are returned completely. The data are analized by using SPSS. The result of this research showed that significant value > 0,05 and it can be concluded that the variable of human resources did not have significant effect to the quality of financial statement information. And the significant value < 0,05 and it can be concluded that the system of internal control and the use of information technology has significant effect to the quality of financial statement. Based on F-test, the significant value < 0,05 and F-count > F-table and can be concluded that the variable of human resourses, the system of internal control and the use of information technology has positive effect simultenously to the quality of financial statement.

Abstract

Dividend policy is an interesting theme in financial research. The dividend policy often used to reduce conflicts of interest between shareholders and managers. Therefore, would be argued that the ownership structure affect the dividend policy. This study aims to: First, to explain the ownership structure and dividend policy. Second, to obtain the empirical evidence about the impact of ownership structure on dividend policy by used size, capital structure and profitability of the firm as control variables. The study was conducted in Indonesia Stock Exchange using the 198 companies as samples and use multiple regression as an analytical tool. Based on the results of the study suggested that: First, the institutional ownership before and after the control variables included positive and significant effect on the dividend payout ratio. Second, managerial ownership before and after the control variables included no significant effect on the dividend payout ratio. Third, the size of the company have significant positive effect on the dividend payout ratio. Fourth, capital structure and profitability of the firm has no significant effect on the dividend payout ratio.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the model of queues at filling stations Kopkar Nusa Three Jl. Sunggal Medan using phase.Teknik single multi-channel data collection is done through observation and documentation. The study population was the whole vehicle wheel 2 (two) in the queuing system on weekdays applicable on Nusa Tiga Kopkar gas station Jl. Sunggal Medan. Sampling is done by nonprobability sampling Convenience sampling using primary data obtained from observation. So the data is taken against vehicles entering into the queuing system is running. From the analysis of the queuing system Kopkar Nusa Three gas station Jl. Terrain Sunggal known Poisson distributed arrival frequency, level of service and inter-arrival time is not exponentially. The level of visitor arrivals was obtained for 13 people per 8 minutes. This means that the server is quite crowded by the customer and the service provided is also capable of serving pelanggan.Waktu customers waiting in the queue (Wq) is 0871 minutes and still be within the maximum limit of the customer is willing to wait (time aspiration) that is equal to 15 minutes.

Abstract

The concept of Local Economic Development (LED) is an analytical tool that can be used to describe and measure economic conditions in a region. The territory in question may be administrative territory or region / region of particular business / commodity development, including small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are part of the most strategic economic sector, concerning the livelihood of the people and is an important pillar in supporting and moving the joints of the economy in many countries .. SMEs play several important roles in Indonesia, one of them important players In Local Economic Development (LED) and community development. The purpose of this study is directed to determine the factors - factors that affect Local Economic Development with SMEs as the base sector in the city of Medan. The research method used in this research is Quantitative Descriptive Research Method. Data collection is done by using secondary and primary data. Then the analysis used to test the research hypothesis that has been determined by using the sample data obtained. The Inferential Statistics Method used in the analysis of this research data is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Descriptive result of this research is there are three variables have the average score of each - each variable is smaller than the middle threshold score 9. The three latent variables referred to include: social capital, socio-economic characteristics, and economic development policy However, when viewed From educational and skill perspectives, labor market and geographical characteristics greater than the middle threshold score 9. The results of this study are social capital, education and expertise, social characteristics, labor market, economic development policy and local culture are six factors Have a positive and significant impact on the succession of local economic development program of Medan city.

Abstract

The tourism sector is a strategic sector that can contribute to both regional and national economic growth. This sector can create jobs to increase people's incomes as a consequence of the development of tourism industri and investment. This study investigated the influence of three variables of tourism service marketing mix consisting of people, processes and physical evidence on tourism satisfaction. A total of 53 respondents selected purposively from tourists who have visited at least twice to tourist destinations Bulbul Beach. Using the help of SPSS 18 data software was processed and analyzed and found that people has positively insignificant influence to the satisfaction of tourists, the process has negatively insignificant effect to the satisfaction of tourists, and physical evidence has positively significant effect to the satisfaction of the tourists, with R2 of 0.783. For subsequent research, the studied variables can be expanded into all of the marketing mix variables and more respondents with more tourist visit experience

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Return on Equities (ROE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), the Net Book Value (NBV), Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), Dividend Growth (GTH), the expected rate of return (KSS) to price stock, and examine what factors are the most dominant influence stock prices companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The samples were Manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2004-2006. Models of research and analysis of data using multiple linear regression models. The results are consistent with the hypothesis and is consistent with results of previous studies in which the return of equity (ROE), debt-to-equity ratio (DER), the book value (NBV), the dividend payout ratio (DPR), the growth rate of dividends (GTH), the rate of profit or risk-free profits implied (KSS) is lacking simultaneous significant effect on stock prices companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. ROE, DER, NBV, the House of Representatives, GTH and KSS partially significant effect on the price of separation. The results of stock market price analysis (CLP) has a positive relationship with equity returns (ROE), book value of shares (NBV), the dividend payout ratio (DPR) and the growth rate of dividends (GTH). Instead the market price of the stock (CLP) has a negative relationship with debt to equity ratio (DER) and the risk-free profits or gains implied (KSS). The most dominant factors influence stock prices, companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange is the book value of the stock.

Abstract

Donalson Silalah, Basically, the government and local governments have made the development of government officers through a program of education and training. Providing education and training is less efficient and effective manner due to the relative unavailability of assessment guidelines and evaluation of education and training. Therefore, this paper aims to build a model of assessment and evaluation of education and training. Models are constructed focused on education and training participant, lecturer, curriculum, organizers and the participants after they return to duty at their respective workplaces. Model assessment and evaluation of education and training builds upon the indicators of each aspect. Indicators that are used can be adjusted as needed. Based on the models constructed can be known what the obstacles to the implementation of education and training. Based on the constraints that are found to be a solution in the subsequent implementation of education and training.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kepuasan nasabah pada PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk Talun Kenas. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh nasabah Britama dan Simpedes pada PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Talun Kenas tahun 2013 sebanyak 2.050 orang. Sampel penelitian diambil 115 orang. Data yang dibutuhkan dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis faktor. Dari hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi kepuasan nasabah adalah fasilitas ATM, jaminan simpanan nasabah, kecepatan pelayanan nasabah, kebanggaan menjadi nasabah, kemudahan penarikan tunai, keramahan pegawai, lokasi strategis, biaya administrasi kartu ATM dan suku bunga tabungan. Dari kesembilan faktor tersebut, yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kepuasan nasabah adalah fasilitas ATM

Abstract

The relationship between financial slack with the company's performance is not clear. Therefore, this issue more interesting to study. Financial slack can be grouped into two types: available slack and potential slack. Therefore, this study is intended to clarify the effect of available slack and potential slack to company performance. To achieve this aim, used a linear regression equation. The study focused on companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange by using purposive sampling technique in sampling research so that the sample size were 112 companies. The data used in this research is secondary data with observations in the period 2008-2010. To explain the effect of financial slack on the performance of companies used the t and F test with α by 10 percent. Based on the analysis and discussion, some conclusions as follows: Firstly, available slack and potential slack have significant negative effect on the performance of the company. Second, the greater the slack of the company, there is a tendency that corporate leaders will tend to use the slack to fulfill its interests. Based on the above conclusions, some suggestions as follows: Firstly, if the company's performance would be improved, financial slack needs to be lowered to a level that is needed. Second, the results of this study can be used as a basis for regulators to make regulations to improve the quality of corporate governance of the corporation. Third, further research is needed by differentiating the sample of companies over companies that implement good corporate governance and corporate governance is not good.

Abstract

The process of marketing mix (marketing mix) are successful have a positive impact on brand equity (brand equity). Every marketer trying to take advantage of the marketing mix strategy as a competitive advantage in increasing the brand equity to brand equity owned by the products or services to attract consumers. Level of awareness of a brand into an important cue for consumers to use and specifies a choice of products. In this case, the products you want to achieve is a knowledge-based products (knowledge base). The product was delivered to the college as the core consumer products that are delivered in the marketing of educational services. Many empirical studies have been conducted to investigate to what extent the influence of marketing mix on brand equity colleges, both state college Cleaner (PTN) or private (PTS). However, little empirical research which brings together existing research into a comprehensive literature review that elaborates on the influence of marketing mix on brand equity colleges. Thus, the management of higher education as an educational institution can be categorized on the model management services business model, which factors the marketing mix consists of product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, process can be a key factor in enhancing brand equity college.
