Jurnal PSIKOLOGI KONSELING diterbitkan oleh Jurusan Psikologi Pendidikan dan Bimbingan Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Medan yang bertujuan untuk publikasi karya ilmiah, studi literatur, studi kasus, dan laporan hasil penelitian. Jurnal PSIKOLOGI KONSELING merupakan wadah bagi peneliti, staf pengajar (dosen dan guru pembimbing/Konselor) dan pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan untuk mengembangkan khasanah keilmuan dalam bidang Psikologi dan Konseling serta ilmu-ilmu yang berkaitan. Adapun artikel yang diterbitkan pada jurnal ini adalah hasil penelitian yang fokus pada masalah persepsi, sikap, kognisi, dan perilaku manusia terutama dalam dunia pendidikan. Hal lainnya adalah penelitan pengembangan baik instrumen, program BK, bahan atau materi bimbingan, strategi atau teknik BK, model BK, media BK dan lain sebagainya yang berhubungan dengan kajian keilmuan bimbingan dan konseling.

Abstract

Teenagers who are victims of bullying are more at risk of experiencing various health problems, both physically and mentally. The problems that are more likely to be suffered by children who are victims of bullying, among others, the emergence of various mental problems such as depression, anxiety and sleep problems that may be carried into adulthood, physical health complaints, such as headaches, abdominal pain and muscle tension, a sense of not safe while in the school environment, and decreased learning enthusiasm and academic achievement. In fairly rare cases, children who are victims of bullying may show violence. Coloroso (2007) states that victims of bullying are usually new children in an environment, the youngest child in school, usually a smaller child, fearful, perhaps unprotected, a child who has experienced trauma or has been hurt before and is usually very sensitive, avoiding peers to avoid more severe pain, and find it difficult to ask for help. This article aims to find out about counseling service management in nine countries in overcoming the problem of bullying, and the factors that cause bullying. The data source of this paper is done by the documentation study method. In this article the results show that the factors that influence the occurrence of bullying can come from individuals, families, play groups, to the community environment of the perpetrators. This action is closely related to the world of social work, which in this case is required to be a counselor for bullying perpetrators.Keywords: Bullying; Counseling Service Management

Abstract

Married women who are working will encounter double roles. Participants in this study involve married female prosecutors having a family and children. Based on the initial interview with the participants, the prosecutors has a long responsibility starts from the investigation process with the police department, witness interrogation, case analysis and making the lawsuit, until the process of transferring the lawsuit to the court and convincing the judge with the lawsuit. Finally, the prosecutors also take an action in executing the criminals. They sometimes confront with the system problem versus their conscience which causes job stress and it influences on their family or they are on the conflict situation. However, there is also an enhancement situation; the job gives a positive advantage to the participants.  The purpose of this study is to get the description of work-life balance on married female prosecutors having a family. The method used in this study is qualitative with the phenomenology approach of collecting data is by interview. There are 5 main themes in this study, such as job, family, experience of work-life balance, strategy and balance achievement. The result of this study shows that having double roles or experience of work-life balance, both participants experience similar conflict dynamics and enhancement orexperience ofwork-life balance. Both participants also make a perception that theyhave been in balance so far. They keep trying to be professional in working and also to spare their time be with their family. Abstract

Suatu manajemen dalam perusahan mengatakan bahwa work engagement itu penting untuk diteliti, dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karyawan yang engaged menunjukkan performansi kerja yang lebih baik. Tingginya work engagement sangat penting dalam meningkatkan performa dan produktivitas organisasi. Salah satu factor yang dapat meningkatkan work engagement dapat melalui personal resource. Dalam hal ini sebagai prediktor personal resources yaitu modal psikologis. Sehingga, dalam penelitian ini peneliti ingin melakukan pelatihan psychological capital untuk meningkatkan work engagement.  Work engagement dapat dilihat dari tiga komponen utama, yaitu semangat, dedikasi dan juga penghayatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen one group pretest posttest design. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner The Utrecht Work Engagement yang dikembangkan oleh Bakker et al. (2003). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat perubahan tingkat work engagement pada partisipan sebelum diadakannya pelatihan dan sesudah diadakannya pelatihan, dengan nilai signifikansi 0.002 (p<0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rational emotive therapy group counseling on the self-esteem of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 27 Medan. The sample in this study amounted to 7 students who have low self-esteem who were found through the purposive sampling technique. This research is a quasi experimental research with pre-post test one group design. The data were collected using a questionnaire called the self-esteem instrument. There were 57 items tested, then obtained 39 valid items and 18 invalid items. Based on the results of calculations using the Cronbach Alpha formula, it is known that r11 = 0.919 and after being compared with the correlation index, it is concluded that the instrument has very high reliability. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to see whether there was an effect of rational emotive therapy group counseling on students' self esteem. From the research data, the results of the calculation with the pre-test score in the sample obtained an average = 73.1 while the post-test score obtained an average = 127.71. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon level test obtained J count = 13 while J table = 2.From the critical value table J for the Wilcoxon cascade test for n = 7, α = 0.05 in accordance with the criteria for acceptance and rejection of the hypothesis, the hypothesis is accepted if J count> J table, namely J count> J table where 13> 2 which means the hypothesis is accepted. The results of this study are expected to be the main input for educators to alleviate problems that arise in students due to low self-esteem.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional maturity with aggressive behavior in vocational students. This research was conducted on SMK students of class XI. The research sample of 63 students with saturated sampling technique. This type of research used in this study is a quantitative study with data collection procedures using a psychological scale that is the scale of emotional maturity from Katkhovsky and Gorlow (1976) totaling 47 items and the scale of aggressive behavior from Buss and Perry (1992) totaling 29 items. Statistical data analysis using Pearson Product Moment Analysis Test with the help of SPSS Statistics 16.0 for windows. The correlation coefficient obtained was -0.240 with a significance value of 0.029 (p <0.05). These results indicate that the hypothesis proposed by researchers, namely there is a negative relationship between emotional maturity with aggressive behavior in vocational students can be accepted. The negative correlation coefficient value indicates that the direction of the relationship between the two variables is negative, meaning that the higher the emotional maturity, the lower the aggressive behavior.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan periode transisi perkembangan dari masa kanak-kanak menuju masa dewasa. Pada periode ini, remaja cenderung mengalami kecemasan dan kebimbangan dalam menentukan perguruan tinggi, sehingga remaja perlu memperhatikan dan mengenali minatnya masing-masing. Terdapat beberapa hal yang mempengaruhi remaja dalam mengenali minat seperti status sosial ekonomi dan motivasi berprestasi. Adanya motivasi berprestasi serta status ekonomi yang baik akan menunjang minat remaja dalam meningkatkan minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi. Namun realitanya status sosial ekonomi orangtua yang dimiliki siswa cenderung rendah. Sehingga, remaja berniat mengurungkan minatnya untuk melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran motivasi berprestasi dan status sosial ekonomi  terhadap minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi pada siswa perempuan di Tabanan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 127 siswa perempuan SMA Negeri Kabupaten Tabanan dengan usia 17-18 tahun. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi berganda. Hasil uji regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa koefisien regresi sebesar 0,612 dan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,375 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05). Nilai koefisien beta terstandarisasi pada variabel motivasi berprestasi sebesar 0,062 dan variabel status sosial ekonomi sebesar -0,050. Hasil analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berprestasi dan status sosial ekonomi secara bersama-sama berperan meningkatkan minat melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi pada siswa perempuan di Tabanan

Abstract

Each school has criteria or benchmarks used to determine the final results of the learning process that has been carried out. Student learning achievement is one input or output from the school. So great is the effect of learning achievement on schools and the environment that students need to develop themselves in achieving achievement. Students are expected to have motivation in learning and improve achievement for the advancement of themselves and their environment. Self-efficacy has a role in giving a confidence or confidence to students in carrying out the task and obtain the expected results. Confidence and confidence need to be instilled in students in order to develop their abilities and be responsible for the tasks assigned to them, and obtain results according to ability. This research, reveals a description of students' understanding in carrying out learning / academic assignments so as to prepare for the future and achieve the expected goals. The number of research subjects amounted to 162 people, as students of class XI Bekasi City Private High School. The results showed 98.8% of 162 students realized that success or success could be achieved with diligent effort, 95.7% of students tried to obtain achievements to achieve their goals, 98.8% of students tried to make the assignment given by the teacher can be completed on time, 85.8% of students have the confidence to complete the task and face difficulties in completing the task (80.2%). The level of self-understanding of Class XI High School Bekasi Private School students mostly acknowledges that success or success can be achieved with diligent effort, obtaining achievements that support the achievement of ideals, as well as having confidence in completing tasks while facing difficulties

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan bagaimana perubahan rasionalisasi moral tindakan agresi pada mantan narapidana teroris serta apa saja hal hal pendorong perubahan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu studi kasus. Informasi utama dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang mantan teroris yang pernah terlibat aktif dalam pelatihan militer dan perang di Filipina Selatan serta terlibat kasus penyimpanan bom Semarang (Sri Redjeki). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis model Milles dan Hebermen (1992),  yakni mereduksi data, penyajian data hingga penarikan kesimpulan yang diambil dari hasil wawancara mendalam. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan memperhatikan teori Tsang (2002) mengenai rasionalisasi moral serta teori Bandura (1991); Bandura, Barbaranelli, Ceprara, dan Pastorelli (1996), mengenai moral disengagement (pelepasan moral) pada subjek ditunjukkan adanya perubahan justifikasi moral, penggunaan penghalusan istilah, perbandingan menguntungkan, mengabaikan konsekuensi, dan menyalahkan orang serta yang menjadi hal-hal pendorong perubahan rasionalisasi moral yaitu pengalaman, peran keluarga, adanya kesibukan/konsentrasi usaha, peran agama, keinginan hidup bermakna, dan peran personal.

Abstract

Konselor merupakan sebuah perjalanan seumur hidup yang tidak ada habisnya. Konselor merupakan seseorang yang sudah memiliki pendidikan profesi, memahami setiap kompetensi konselor dan menerapkan terhadap setiap klien. Kompetensi konselor dibagi menjadi empat yaitu pedagogik, professional, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi pribadi. Konselor harus mampu menerapkan ini didalam pribadinya. Selain kompetensi ada juga karakteristik konselor antara lain kepercayaan publik (public trust), kode etik, kualifikasi, standart kompetensi dan kurikulum. Banyak permasalahan yang akan dihadapi oleh konselor karena setiap klien yang datang berbeda-beda mulai dari permasalahan yang ringan sampai yang rumit. Dari sekian banyak permasalahan yang dihadapi klien salah satu permasalahannya adalah pelecehan seksual. Pelecehan seksual dapat terjadi dimana saja dan dialami oleh siapa saja. Pelecahan seksual adalah tindakan asusila yang di lakukan pelaku dengan sengaja terhadap orang lain sehingga menimbulkan perasaan trauma pada diri seseorang. Salah satu terapi yang digunakan oleh konselor adalah konseling traumatik, proses konseling tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa kali pertemuan yaitu melihat trauma dan permasalahan yang dihadapi klien. Pada umumnya membantu klien yang mengalami pelecehan seksual dibutuhkan lebih dari sekali pertemuan karena konselor bertugas membantu klien menghilangkan trauma tersebut dan membuat klien menerima diri sendiri serta memaafkan dan menerima masalalunya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan melihat penerapan kompetensi konselor dalam membantu korban pelecehan seksual. Konselor harus mampu menerapkan kompetensi professional konselor sehingga klien merasa nyaman, percaya dan aman serta mampu terbuka mengenai setiap persoalannya.

Abstract

 Needs are congenital within each individual and be structured of a hierarchy of needs. Everyone is trying to get fulfillment from every level of needs. The purpose of this study is describe how the fulfillment of a mistress based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs including psychological needs, need for self-security, need for love and belongingness, need for self-esteem, and need for self-actualization. This research uses a case study approach on two participants who are mistresses. The results of this study is fulfillment of the needs of mistress including psychological needs and need for love and belongingness. Meanwhile, need for self-security, need for self-esteem, and need for self-actualization have different fulfillments for each participants.
