Abstract

In this evaluation research, the researcher aimed at examining the extent to which Hebei Foreign Studies University (hereafter referred to HFSU) implementated of the O.R.E.O guidelines during COVID-19 lockdown. To collect data, the researcher used the document analysis, an interrater checklist, and participant observation. As the study used both the qualitative and quantitative data, the analysis was equally qualitative and descriptive statistics was used to analyse quantitative data. The major findings were that HFSU did well as two raters found out that fourteen criteria out of sixteen on the rating metrics were fulfilled. The level of O.R.E.O implementation of that university during the Covid-19 lockdown (Semester I, academic year 2020-2021) is “Very Highly” (92%) but it could have done more than that by adjusting few things like insuring undisturbed learning space by parents or guardians and cross-checking information reported both by students and teachers concerning the daily activities of the online teaching-learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether guided discovery learning in the STAD type of cooperative learning model is effective when viewed from the mathematical reasoning ability and self-confidence of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Baubau. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with the research design used, namely the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques are test and non-test. The research instrument was a test question on mathematical reasoning abilities and a non-test in the form of a questionnaire on students' self-confidence. The data analysis in this research is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Before carrying out the hypothesis test, the assumption test is carried out first, it will be tested for normality with a significant level α = 0.5. The results of this study were the pretest mean value of students' mathematical reasoning abilities with guided discovery learning in the STAD cooperative learning model, namely 3.25, an increase in the posttest average score of 8.55. The mean value of the initial questionnaire of students 'self-confidence was 70.38 and in the final questionnaire, the students' self-confidence had increased by 91.45. So it can be concluded that guided discovery learning in the STAD type cooperative learning model is effective in terms of mathematical reasoning abilities, and self-confidence of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Baubau.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah guided discovery learning dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD efektif jika ditinjau dari kemampuan penalaran matematika, dan self-confidence siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Baubau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu yaitu One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes dan non tes. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal tes terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematika dan non tes berupa angket terhadap self-confidence siswa. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu nilai rata-rata pretest kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa dengan guided discovery learning dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yaitu sebesar 3,25 mengalami peningkatan pada nilai rata-rata posttest yaitu sebesar 8,55. Nilai rata-rata angket awal self-confidence siswa yaitu sebesar 70,38 dan pada angket akhir self-confidence siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu sebesar 91,45. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa guided discovery learning dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan penalaran matematika, dan self-confidence siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Baubau.

Abstract

Online lecture during Covid-19 outbreak is one of methods chosen to contain the spread of the virus and ensure the course objective can be achieved. However, such learning model brings some problems for the students of Islamic study program when learning statistics due to its difficult formulas to explain. Thus, this study aims to descriptively analyze the effectiveness of online lectures in educational statistics courses. Selected by purposive sampling, the sample of the study was third semester of Islamic education students in 2019/2020 academic year. The research data was collected through documentation of students' final grades and interviews via an online form. Based on the interviews, most students stated that the learning was effective.  This is also supported by the final grades of students who are mostly in the good category. However, the results also revealed some obstacles faced by the students in learning such as poor internet connection, the difficulty to understand the material and make a good discussion as well as the poor learning tools facility. Another finding obtained was that if the Covid-19 pandemic ends, the majority of students want face-to-face lectures, but not a few also want lectures with a combination of face-to-face and online (blended learning). Based on these results, blended learning can be an alternative choice for lecturers to implement in the future.Perkuliahan daring diera pandemic covid-19 merupakan alternatif yang dipilih untuk menekan menyebaran virus sekaligus memastikan terlaksananya dan tercapainya tujuan perkuliahan. Khususnya pada matakuliah statistika pendidikan di program studi PAI pembelajaran daring memiliki kesulitan tersendiri, sebab mahasiswa dihadapkan oleh data yang harus dianalisis dengan rumus tertentu, sehingga membutuhkan penjelasan yang lebih. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara deskriptif tentang keefektifan perkuliahan daring pada mata kuliah statistika pendidikan. Sampel yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa PAI semester III tahun akademik 2019/2020 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi nilai akhir mahasiswa dan wawancara melalui form online. Dari hasil respon mahasiswa tentang keefektifan perkuliahan daring yaitu sebagian besar menyatakan efektif. Hal ini didukung pula oleh nilai akhir mahasiswa yang sebagian besar berada pada kategori baik. Meskipun demikian, dari hasil penelitian diperoleh pula informasi tentang kendala yang dihadapi mahasiswa yaitu sulitnya jaringan internet, sulit memahami materi, sulitnya berdiskusi, serta perangkat yang kurang memadai. Temuan lain yang diperoleh adalah jika pandemik covid-19 berakhir maka mayoritas mahasiswa menginginkan perkuliahan tatap muka, namun tidak sedikit juga menginginkan perkuliahan dengan kombinasi antara tatap muka dan online (blended learning). Berdasarkan hasil ini maka blended learning bisa menjadi alternatif pilihan dosen dalam melaksanakan perkuliahan dimasa mendatang.

Abstract

Education and culture are something that cannot be separated in everyday life. Ethnomatematics is here to bridge culture and education, especially in learning mathematics. This study aims to describe the ethnomatematics contained in the custom of calculating the marriage dowry, the Butonese. This type of research is exploratory research using an ethnographic approach. Based on the results of the research obtained, there are special ways in which the Butonese people carry out mathematical activities. It is proven that there is an ethno-mathematical form in the calculation of the dowry of the Butonese marriage which is reflected through the various results of mathematical activities that are owned and developed in the Buton community, including the concept of fractions and averages related to the amount of bakena kau and kabintingia katolosina which are distributed to invited guests who attend the ceremony. tauraka evenly, the concept of comparison related to the difference in the amount of dowry for the kaomu and walaka groups, the concept of the percentage related to the amount of fee for services for customary introducers (tolowea), and the concept of unit conversion.Pendidikan dan budaya adalah sesuatu yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Etnomatematika hadir untuk menjembatani antara budaya dan pendidikan khususnya dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan etnomatematika yang terdapat dalam adat perhitungan mahar pernikahan, masyarakat Buton. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksploratif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, terdapat cara-cara khusus pada masyarakat Buton dalam melakukan aktivitas matematika. Terbukti adanya bentuk etnomatematika pada perhitungan mahar pernikahan masyarakat Buton yang tercermin melalui berbagai hasil aktivitas matematika yang dimiliki dan berkembang di masyarakat Buton, meliputi konsep pecahan dan rata-rata yang terkait dengan besaran bakena kau dan katolosina kabintingia yang dibagikan kepada tamu undangan yang hadir dalam upacara tauraka secara merata, konsep perbandingan yang terkait dengan perbedaan jumlah besaran mahar bagi golongan kaomu dan walaka, konsep persentase yang terkait dengan jumlah besaran uang imbalan jasa untuk para pengantar adat (tolowea), dan konsep konversi satuan.

Abstract

Scaffolding is a technique that help the students to improve their ability by giving them aids or supports through five basic steps of this technique consisted of intentionality, appropriatenes, structure, collaboration and internalization. The scaffolding technique was applied in order to improve the students’ ability in writing skill. This study was conducted on the fifth semester students of IAIN Palopo by applying classroom action research. The data and the source data of this study was all of the students in English department. The result of this study showed that there increasing points from cycle I and the cycle II. The first cycle showed that two students obtained good score (13.3%) and 14 students obtained poor score (86.7%) which the mean score was 61.8. in the second cycle there was a development wherein 10 students obtained good score (66.7%) and five students where in fair score (33.3%) which the mean score was 75. The difference between two cycles was on the improvement of given support or appropriate scaffolding to the students. The five steps of scaffolding technique did not mean to help students from the beginning until finishing the works but to give them a guidance where the certain parts still have difficulty to solve.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out the actual teaching and learning process and to what extent the use of English at Biology Bilingual program. This research employed the descriptive study which involved a lecture and one class of Biology Bilingual Program as the subject of the research. The data were collected through observation and video recording then analyzed by Classroom Discourse Frame. This research revealed that the teaching and learning process used both English and Bahasa Indonesia. It also reported that Lesson Frame, Lesson Support Frame, and Commentary Frame were used at the classroom activity. The language alternation was dominated by the lecture to clarifying and explaining the material and the Bahasa Indonesia was rarely used in the classroom teaching and learning process.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari tahu proses belajar mengajar actual dan sejauh mana penggunaan bahasa Inggris pada Program Biologi Bilingual. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif yang melibatkan dosen dan salah satu kelas di Program Biologi Bilingual sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan rekaman video yang kemudian dianalisis dengan Classroom Discourse Frame. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa proses belajar mengajar menggunakan bahasa Inggris dan Bahasa Indonesia. Lesson frame, Lesson Support Frame, dan Commentary Frame digunakan dalam aktivitas kelas. Pergantian bahasa juga didominasi oleh dosen untuk memberikan klarifikasi dan mengklarifikasi materi pembelajaran selain itu bahasa Indonesia jarang digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar.

Abstract

Ethnoscience is a science learning technique that uses cultural goods to teach local wisdom (regional culture) as an object of study. Based on local genius material, this study aims to classify artifacts and scientific activities that can be found in science learning (gamelan bali). Observation and curriculum analysis activities in grade IV SD Negeri 34 Cakranegara provided the research results. First, the Balinese gamelan instruments (gong/kempur, gangsa, ceng ceng, kendang, rindik, tektekan, kul-kul, suling) were studied. Second, the sensory material of listening, vibrations, waves, sounds, resonances, sound propagation, sound reflection, and the sonar system are IPA artifacts that can be recognized, and their use is linked to local genius content (Balinese gamelan). Third, science learning activities such as studying and recognizing science objects, searching for patterns of relationships with local community activities, and providing student worksheets are available.Etnosains merupakan suatu pendekatan pembelajaran IPA yang mengimplementasikan kearifan lokal (budaya daerah) tertentu sebagai objek pembelajan menggunakan produk budaya tertentu. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi objek dan aktivitas sains yang dapat ditemukan pada pembelajaran IPA berbasis content local genius (gamelan bali). Data penelitian didapatkan melalui kegiatan observasi dan kajian kurikulum pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 34 Cakranegara. Hasil penelitian adalah Pertama, alat kesenian gamelan bali (gong/kempur, gangsa, ceng ceng, kendang, rindik, tektekan, kul-kul, suling). Kedua, objek IPA yang dapat diidentifkasi adalah materi indera pendengaran, getaran, gelombang, bunyi, resonansi, cepat rambat bunyi, pemantulan bunyi, serta sistem sonar dan pemanfaatannya berkaitan dengan content local genius (gamelan bali). Ketiga, aktivitas belajar IPA yang dapat dilakukan dengan mengamati dan mengidentifikasi objek IPA, mencari pola hubungan dengan aktivitas masyarakat setempat, dan presentasi hasil lembar kerja siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find the role of evidence in proving murder cases based on the Criminal Procedure Code in Luwuk District Court. The method used in this research is to use a type of empirical legal research by taking samples at the Luwuk District Court. The results of the research show that the evidence used at the time of committing the crime of murder has a correlation and relevance in Article 183 - Article 189 of the Criminal Procedure Code, while Article 184 of the Criminal Procedure Code states that there are five valid evidence, including witness testimony, expert statement, letter , the defendant's instructions and statements, while the factors that influence the proof of a murder case at the Luwuk District Court based on the Criminal Procedure Code are a. The judge's decision is based on at least two pieces of evidence that support one another. b. From the evidence and evidence, the judge was convinced that the defendant was guilty of a criminal act. c. Apart from the evidence stipulated in the Criminal Procedure Code, other evidence is things that are generally known and do not need to be proven.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan peranan barang bukti dalam pembuktian perkara tindak pidana pembunuhan berdasarkan KUHAP di Pengadilan Negeri Luwuk. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum empiris dengan mengambil sampel di Pengadilan Negeri Luwuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  barang bukti yang di gunakan pada saat melakukan tindak pidana pembunuhan mempunyai korelasi dan relevasi dalam Pasal 183 - Pasal 189 KUHAP sedangkan dalam Pasal 184 KUHAP menyebutkan bahwa terdapat lima alat bukti yang sah di antaranya alat bukti keteranagan saksi, keterangan ahli, surat, petunjuk dan keterangan terdakwa sedangkan Faktor yang mempengaruhi dalam pembuktian perkara tindak pidana pembunuhan di Pengadilan Negeri luwuk berdasarkan KUHAP adalah a. Putusan hakim minimal didasarkan pada dua alat bukti yang saling mendukung satu dengan yang lain. b. Dari alat bukti dan barang bukti tersebut, hakim memperoleh keyakinan bahwa terdakwa bersalah melakukan tindak pidana. c. Disamping alat bukti yang ditetapkan dalam KUHAP, alat bukti lain adalah hal yang secara umum sudah diketahui dan tidak perlu dibuktikan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility of the online learning system CIPP evaluation instrument and to evaluate the online learning system during the Covid-19 pandemic at IAIN Ambon. It was an evaluation research, using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. The research subjects were students at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at IAIN Ambon. Moreover, the data collection was carried out using a questionnaire instrument. Instrument validity used expert judgment. The reliability of the instrument was analyzed using Alpha Cronbach. The result analysis used quantitative descriptive method. The results showed that: 1) the instrument was feasible and suitable used as a measuring tool for the evaluation of the online learning system at IAIN Ambon based on validity and reliability tests. 2) the results of the evaluation in terms of context showed that the average achievement was 95% in the very good category. The evaluation from the input aspect showed that the average achievement was 91% in the very good category. While the evaluation in terms of the process aspect showed that the average achievement was 93% in the very good category and the evaluation from the product aspect showed that the average achievement of 79% was in the good category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan instrumen evaluasi CIPP sistem pembelajaran online dan melakukan evaluasi sistem pembelajaran online selama pandemi Covid-19 di IAIN Ambon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi, menggunakan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa di Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan di IAIN Ambon. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner. Validitas istrumen menggunakan expert judgement. Reliabilitas instrumen dianalisis menggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Analisis hasil menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) instrumen layak dan sudah sesuai untuk digunakan sebagai alat ukur evaluasi sistem pembelajaran online di IAIN Ambon berdasarkan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. 2) hasil evaluasi ditinjau dari aspek konteks menunjukkan pencapaian rerata sebesar 95% dalam kategori sangat baik. Adapun evaluasi dari aspek input menunjukkan pencapaian rerata sebesar 91% dalam kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan evaluasi ditinjau dari aspek proses menunjukkan pencapaian rerata sebesar 93% dalam kategorisangat baik dan evaluasi dari aspek produk menunjukkan pencapaian rerata sebesar 79% tergolong dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

Language is one of the cultural elements that shows self-identity in certain communities. Multilingualism in non-indigenous community in Purwokerto needs to be analyzed to see how natives and sojourners negotiate meanings and deliver messages in their daily multilingual interactions. The negotiation of meanings and delivery of messages become prominent points since multilingualism may lead into meaning shifting, identity changing, and or cultural conflicts between interlocutors. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to explain multilingual phenomena in Purwokerto academic community. The data were taken from direct and indirect interactions, such as scientific forums, scientific discussions, faculty meetings, scientific presentations, and social media. The findings and discussions show that the most frequent reasons for multilinguals to code-switch and code-mix is for talking about a particular topic (55.06%) and being empathetic about something (34.17%).Bahasa merupakan salah satu anasir kebudayaan sekaligus dapat menunjukkan identitas diri pada komunitas tertentu. Penerimaan multibahasa pada masyarakat non-native Purwokerto perlu dianalisis untuk melihat keberterimaan bahasa dan ketersampaiannya. Konsep multibahasa yang diterima interlocutors dapat mengalami pergeseran makna, perubahan identitas, maupun perselisihan budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan menjelaskan fenomena kebahasaan yang ada pada komunikasi akademik di Purwokerto. Transkrip data meliputi komunikasi yang terbentuk atas pola interaksi langsung dan tidak langsung yang meliputi pertemuan ilmiah dalam diskusi ilmiah, forum rapat, paparan materi maupun komunikasi akademik pada media sosial. Sebagian besar alasan yang mendasari penggunaan multibahasa adalah talking about particular topic (55.06%) dan empatic about something (34.17%). Selain itu, bentuk-bentuk penerimaan konsep multibahasa direfleksikan melalui campur kode dan alih kode melalui interaksi langsung maupun tidak langsung.
