Abstract

Bangka Island has high sunlight intensity, but it still has little use as an alternative energy source. Water heater available on the market have experienced a peak of innovation that continues to use electricity as energy, but as we know that heater that use electricity consume a lot of energy. In this research, a solar water heater machine with spiral collector will be made to heat water in a reservoir using sunlight energy and as a tool to see the difference between the continuous method which circulates water continuously from the reservoir to the heat collector with a delay method that circulates water with a certain delay time. Both methods and data retrieval mechanisms are controlled by an Arduino device. Based on the results of the trial, it was found that Solar water heater was able to heat water in reservoir up to 48.92 degrees Celsius and the use of the continuous method made the water temperature higher than the delay method with a maximum difference of 10.66 degrees centigrade.

Abstract

Mechanical workshop in Polman Bangka Belitung has 8 units Ajax Universal Milling Machine Model No. 2A Mark V. The condition of the engine can not be used maximum, for example a milling machine with a serial number FR12. This machine was damaged at the rotary speed control (rpm) and need repairing process. This study aims to analyze the types and causes damage to the rotary speed control, repair the damaged components and assemble the components to make it functioned with the standard engine. This research is devide in several stages, the first stage is analyzing the causes of the damage, the second stage is repairing and re-assembling the damage components. The last stage is testing for the repaired machine vibration by examining and comparing it with standard and permitted vibration machine and another machine which still good. The test results of the vibration machine is 0.884 mm / s rms for the axial direction and 0.938 mm / s rms for the radial direction. The summary, the vibration is still at the allowed limit which is equal to 1.12 mm / s rms and it means the machine is ready to use.

Abstract

Betel nut palm plant is one of the many benefits and efficacy, especially seeds. Areca nuts are widely used as the main raw material in the process of making drugs, cosmetics, slimming, snacks, sweets, and coffee. Betel nut processing into betel nut is still constrained by the tool is still modest, are still using wood beams repose knife to split betel nut into two parts. To overcome these problems needed betel nut splitter machine with a capacity of 250 kg / h. This engine design is expected to help farmers during the process of betel nut processing into dried betel nut. The working principle of betel nut splitter machine originated from an electric motor that produces rotation is forwarded to the reducer and to the cutting blade associated with two gears. Betel nut is inserted through the insertion funnel towards the rotor has 4 channels / trench, and rotor spinning and crashing betel nut rotating blades reversed so the rotor besidesbetel nut split into two parts. Shaft rotation speed at the eye-piece and carrier rotor shaft is 9.32 rpm, the rotation speed is obtained from the ratio gearbox and pulley on the engine splitter ratio. With the machine is expected to help farmers to cultivate betel nut, so the work is lighter, faster and may prevent accidents. Abstract

Peanut cake is one of the typical Indonesian pastries which includes the most popular cakes by Indonesian people including the people of the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands. The process of processing peanut cakes through several stages, namely the processing of peanuts, the printing of bean cake dough. The current method of printing peanut cakes is still manually using one by one as a tool to print the bean cake. The purpose of this study is to design and make a bean cake printing tool that is capable of printing 20 bean cakes in one process. The stages in making this bean cake printing device start from problem identification, planning, designing, tool making, assembling, and testing. Based on the results of the trials that have been carried out, the tool is capable of printing 20 prints in a single process and the dough is not attached to the mold.

Abstract

In Islam, prayer is an obligation that must be carried out by any of its adherents who already qualified. In one day and one night there are five time prayers, namely Isya, Dawn, Noon, Asr and Maghrib. One of the greatest deeds reward is prayer in congregation at mosques or mosque at the time it was signed in prayer. Usually several mosques or mosque own marker arrival time of prayer are created automatically, making it easier for the muezzin to call the adhan. However it was still a small fraction. There are still many mosques or mosques who do not have means of automatic prayer time this marker. For that know the times of prayer 5 times a day is very important for any religion in the Islamic prayer run the 5 time period with a precise and well. To that end pointer prayer schedule is very important that there. So now many mosques or in homes that are usually already contained a calendar and prayer time enduring performer, but it looks very small so it cannot be seen from a distance. Based on that experience and the importance of this, the authors do make the viewer prayer time in real time that can change with the change of the day, and can be seen from a considerable distance. So that it can function more optimally and can maximize the time available.

Abstract

Ampiang or crackers ampiang is typical of Bangka original food made from tapioca, fish, pure water, salt and food flavorings. In the process of making ampiang, there is an obstacle, that is in the process of mixing spices, fish and flour. Mixing or stirring the dough by hand by rotating the dough until the dough is ready to be used takes a long time. To overcome the above problems researchers made kneading ampiang horizontal type with a capacity of 10 kg. The purpose of the research is to get the dough mixing uniformity percentage of 100% and 100% increased production time. The stages of the research are the of collecting data through surveys, questionnaires, interviews, and literature. The next step is data process, manufacture and selection of alternative concept, tool making and assembling, testing and analysis. In making the selection of alternative concepts and decided machine made with size 99 x 66 x 90 cm, using the motor 1PK and design mixer horizontal type. The results show the machine is capable to knead the 10 Kg dough of ampiang in 3 minutes and dough mixing uniformity percentage of 100%.

Abstract

The process of measuring wind speed and its direction is still manual and considered inefficient. The purpose of making these tools is to help get the data of speed and direction of the wind from a distance in order to work more eficient. In determining the wind speed is done by chopping round of the wind speed sensor by using an encoder while the determination of the wind direction is done by reading the orientation of magnetic hall sensor, constructed as wind direction. Utilizing the Arduino Mega 2560 Microcontroller as controller, the data is recorded with a cycle which can be set. The data that has been recorded is sent to Sim900a GSM shield in the form of SMS. Then the data is received by GSM shield the server and sent to the computer. The results of this system is able to measure and store data speed and direction of the wind from a distance. With a wind speed error of 4. 56% of the measurements manually, and wind direction indicates the actual wind direction.

Abstract

Vehicle suspension system is an important part to minimize the vibration of the vehicle caused by road unevenness. Ideal conditions would be difficult to obtain, especially in rural areas with uneven road conditions. Analysis of passive suspension system in this study is expected to explain the level of comfort in riding Rural Multipurpose Vehicles. Full car modelling with 1 DOF riders used in this study, simulated using numerical simulation software. Excitation roads used in the form of a sinusoidal wave with an amplitude of 0.05 m and a wavelength of 0.5 m. Analysis carried out on the comfort of the vertical acceleration response received driver’s head. Based on the simulation results showed that by using a constant speed between 20-40 km / h, the vehicle will be comfortable driving for more than 2.5 hours.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the development of palm fruit peeler machine by using Quality Function Deployment (QFD) can optimize the results of the palm fruit peeling in Balun Ijuk village, Bangka. The method used in the data collection is to survey the place, interview and distribute the questionnaires to the respondents. While the analysis of the data is by using the descriptive methods. The data obtained is analyzed by using the QFD, while the design and the engine development is made based on the analysis and interpretation of the House of Quality (HOQ), which is the result of QFD. Furthermore, to determine whether the tool is made completely in accordance with the demand of the consumer, then the machine is made and the tests to determine the level of need and customer satisfaction. The result of the study shows that the machine is able to peel more and the result of the peeling is that the machine can separate the skin from the seed by using the motor of 1PK electric power. While from the consumen satisfaction, it can be concluded that the price is affordable, the machine is durable and not easily porous, the performance of the tool is fast, it is easy to be operated, it saves more space, and easy to replace the spare parts.

Abstract

The design of the machine roll plate made from pewter to be developed is a machine that is simple, easy to be usde and does not endanger the user and use 1 phase ac motors. The system uses two cylinder rolls at the top and bottom with a thickness regulator by using a screw system. The material used is steel st. 40 for the roll materials and to get the smooth rolling process, then roll grinding cylinder. For the power cylinder roll will be analyzed by the software that is to know the voltage that occurs in the cylinder roll when rolling the pewter plate by assumed load of 1000 kg. The result of this research is the engine may roll the plate pewter with a size of 260 mm x 70 mm x 3 mm to a size of 430 mm x 77 mm x 1 mm, which takes 6 minutes of 1 plate pewter, plate surface pewter solid and smooth, and the size of the plate length increases ± 98% and ± 7% width, thus saving time, effort and cost in the casting process.
