Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi masyarakat tentang tradisi todoan pada etnis Batak Toba. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualiatatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pemberian Marcell Mauss. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu melalui observasi non-partisipasi yang dimana penulis berperan sebagai pengamat saja. Selain itu juga melakukan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang penulis gunakan ialah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Adapun hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pemberian todoan dalam pamulihon boru pada etnis Batak Toba di Desa Pusuk II Simaninggir itu dirasa sangat penting oleh masyarakat, dikarenakan todoan itu merupakan rasa hormat dan terimakasih anak perempuan terhadap ibunya karena telah mengandung, melahirkan, menyekolahkan, dan membimbing sampai ke tahap pernikahan. Walaupun sebenarnya pengorbanan dan rasa cinta yang diberikan orangtuanya tidak sebanding dengan yang diberikan anak, namun todoan itu merupakan pilihan yang tepat dilakukan untuk mengingat orangtua nya. Selain itu, persepsi masyarakat di Desa Pusuk II Simaninggir todoan harus dilaksanakan dan tidak mungkin untuk dihilangkan karena itu sudah menjadi kebiasaan dalam masyarakat dan dilaksanakan agar tidak muncul permasalahan bagi masyarakat dan ibu yang menerima. Namun, jika menikah dengan orang yang berasal dari daerah luar, maka todoan tersebut bisa dihilangkan jika ada kompromi dari kedua belah pihak. Todoan dibicarakan pada saat marhata sinamot, todoan sangan penting diberikan bagi masyarakat di Desa Pusuk II Simaninggir Kecamatan Parlilitan, masyarakat berpersepsi bahwa todoan bagus untuk dilaksanakan dan bagi masyarakat di Desa Pusuk II Simaninggir sulit untuk dihapuskan karena sudah menjadi kebiasaan dari masyarakat disana. Penulisan ini diharapkan agar dapat memberitahukan seberapa pentingnya tradisi todoan

Abstract

Research objectives 1) to determine the influence of Learning Organization on teacher performance at State Elementary Schools in West Aceh Regency; 2) to determine the effect of the principal's managerial supervision on teacher performance at state elementary schools in West Aceh Regency. This research was carried out at the Regional Office Technical Implementation Unit 1 in cluster 1, Meureubo District, West Aeh Regency using quantitative methods. The research population was 212 people, the sample was 68 people, the sample was determined using the Taro Yamane formula. using an error acceptance of 10%. Research findings resulting from hypothesis testing using determination analysis (R), t-test, and simple regression can be concluded from the results of analysis tests using correlation test analysis, simple linear regression test, partial test (t-test) and determinant coefficient test (r), it can be concluded that teacher performance influences the learning organization. The results of the correlation coefficient are 0.304 with a significant value of 0.012, there is a positive relationship between learning organization and teacher performance. Meanwhile, the correlation coefficient value (rcount) is compared with (rtable) with an alpha value of 0.012 (5%). By calculating the results of the Pearson product moment correlation test, the rcount value is 0.304, while the rtable is 0.265. Therefore, it can be concluded that the value of rcount > rtable (0.304 > 0.265), this is in accordance with the rules of hypothesis testing with a significant level of alpha value <0.05, so the first hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is an influence of learning organization on teacher performance. The results of the r table validity test can be calculated in the statistical r-table with a two-way test based on the formula df = n-2 so 68-2 = 66 with an error level of 0.5%, variable X at p1, p5, p6, p7, p9 and the variable Y p10 has a different value from the other questions but it is still said to be valid. So the rtable results in the validity test show a dominant value of 0.322. So it can be concluded that the person coreelation value (rcount) is greater than the value (rtable), so that the entire number of question items in the results of this research are declared valid. The influence of the principal's managerial supervision on teacher performance is based on the results of the reliability test of the two variables, namely variable X teacher performance obtained a Cronbach apha value of 0.701 and variable Y teacher performance obtained a Cronbach apha value of 0.747. Thus the second research hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Kekerasan seksual merupakan tindak pidana yang sering terjadi pada perempuan dan sudah menjadi permasalahan global. Banyaknya kekerasan terhadap perempuan ini telah mendorong negara untuk mensahkan Undang-Undang Nomor 12 Tahun 2022 Tentang Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual. Terjadinya kekerasan seksual dapat mengakibatkan korban mengalami penderitaan fisik, mental, seksual, ekonomi serta sosial yang berkepanjangan. Permasalahan yang dibahas pada tulisan ini bagaimana formulasi hukum pidana memberikan jaminan yang konprenship terhadap penanggulangan kekerasan seksual terhadap perempuan baik secara penal maupun secara non penal. Metode penelitian yang digunaka adalah yuridis normatif dengan pendekakan  deskriptif analitis menggunakan data skunder yang terdiri dari bahan hukum primer dan skunder berupa peraturan perundangan-undangan. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa formulasi hukum yang mengatur tentang tindak pidana kekerasan seksual sudah diatur melakui Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP); Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2004 Tentang Penghapusan Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga; Undang-Undang Nomor 12 Tahun 2022 Tentang Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual ; Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2007 Tentang Tindak Pidana Perdangangan Orang, yang kemudian kebijakan terhadap putusan yang diberikan oleh hakim terhadap terdakwa sudah memenuhi rasa keadilan terhadap terdakwa dan korban  karena setelah mempertimbangkan alasan-alasan dan fakta-fakta hukum yang ditemukan  dipersidangan dan tetap kepada keyakinan hakim dalam membuat keputusan dan demi keadilan berdasarkan Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa.

Abstract

Regarding the background of the establishment of the Catholic Church of ST. Theresia Lisieux was started when the mission of the Catholic Church began in the last century, when colonialism reached its peak and modern capitalism began to exist in this region, since the arrival of Fr. Chrysologus Timmermans from Sevenbergen came to the Sibolga region to carry out missions in establishing the parish of Sibolga. The development of the founding of the Catholic Church of ST. Theresa Lisieux can be seen from the increase in the number of Catholics in the Catholic Church of ST. Theresa Lisieux, from 70 Catholics in 1932 to 208,212 at the end of 2008. And the development of the founding of the Catholic Church of ST. Theresa can also be seen from this church building which was originally a house purchased by Father Timmermans which was originally used as a chapel as a place of worship in 1929, and in 1932 the Church building was built. The existence of the Catholic Church of ST. Theresia Lisieux in Sibolga City has a positive impact on Catholics. The impact of the establishment of the Catholic Church is covering the fields of education, social, and economic. In the field of education, namely the establishment of People's Schools, kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, and high schools, which were founded by sisters sent by missionaries. In the social sector, namely Visiting FKUB Sibolga City, OMK Solidarity Action sharing with the Elderly, Gotong Royong welcoming the birthday of the Cathedral. In the economic sector, there are CU Sejati and Efata Shopp services in the church environment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the challenges faced by history teachers in integrating information technology into the history teaching process, as well as identify effective strategies to overcome these challenges. The research method used is interviews and observations of a number of history teachers who have actively used information technology in their teaching. The research results show that some of the main challenges faced by history teachers include limited access to technology, uncertainty in selecting appropriate digital content, and a lack of adequate training in the application of technology. However, the research also identified several effective strategies that history teachers have used to overcome these challenges, including ongoing training and professional development, collaboration between teachers to share resources and experiences, and adapting curricula to account for technology integration. The implication of this research is the need for greater support from schools and the government in providing adequate access to technology and contextual training for history teachers so that they can effectively integrate information technology into history learning. The implementation of the strategies adopted by history teachers at SMA 14 shows their commitment to overcoming the challenges of integrating technology in history learning. In the face of limited access to technology, teachers have been active in utilizing training and professional development to improve their skills in using technology. Collaboration between teachers also provides a platform for sharing experiences and ideas for facing common challenges. Curriculum adjustments are the main basis for ensuring that history learning remains relevant and interesting for students in this digital era. By utilizing technology in lesson plans and developing interactive learning materials, teachers have created a dynamic and student-oriented learning environment. The impact of this strategy can be seen in increasing students' understanding of historical material and their skills in using technology.

Abstract

This research discusses the Barge Burning tradition of the Chinese community in Bagansiapiapi, which was originally only a community culture carried out by the Chinese community, until it finally changed to become a public spectacle celebrated by the entire community in 2006-2019. The aim of this research is to see why the ethnic Chinese barge burning tradition has changed from a community culture to a public spectacle and what forms of change in the barge burning tradition, which was originally a community culture, has become a public spectacle in 2006-2019. This research uses historical research methods. The results of the research show that the Bagansiapiapi Chinese ethnic barge burning tradition has undergone changes since 2006, because the Regional Government made it a regional cultural tourism event in Rokan Hilir Regency. There are values that have changed due to commercialization, namely the time of barge burning, previously ships were burned at night, since it became a tourist event the barge burning was carried out earlier, namely in the afternoon or evening. Then the shape and material of the ships changed, in the 18th century ships were made of bamboo and paper, since 2006 the materials used have been wood, bamboo and colorful paper. As a result of turning Bakar Tongkang into a tourist event, tourists are interested in seeing the celebration and coming to Bagansiapiapi and increasing the Regional Revenue Budget, as evidenced by the number of tourists which continues to increase every year.

Abstract

Rohingya migration has become a complex challenge that requires in-depth understanding and a holistic response from various relevant parties. In this context, this article discusses various aspects that influence the social, economic and ecological integration of Rohingya migrants in receiving countries, with a special focus on Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to explore the phenomenon of Rohingya migration and the challenges of social and economic integration in receiving countries. The descriptive method was chosen because the focus of this research is to describe and explain complex situations from an in-depth and comprehensive perspective. The data collected in this research is descriptive, including words, images and information from various sources, such as books, scientific journals and previous research that are relevant to the topic under study. The results of this research show that there are several main challenges faced by Rohingya migrants, including limited access to education, health services and employment, as well as social discrimination and stigmatization. Apart from that, unclear legal status, cultural and religious differences, as well as political and humanitarian instability also affect their integration process. In addition, this article also describes the environmental impacts of Rohingya migration and the importance of considering ecological factors in natural resource management and infrastructure development. To address these challenges, cross-sectoral and cross-institutional collaboration is key, with a focus on inclusive approaches, human rights protection and environmental sustainability. Diplomatic efforts are also important in resolving the root causes of the Rohingya crisis in their home country. With strong cooperation and commitment to holistic solutions, Indonesia has the potential to be a leader in responding to the challenges of social, economic and ecological integration in the context of Rohingya migration.

Abstract

This article discusses about the writing of history/historiography Islam in Indonesia by focusing on Hamka as a historian based on Dari Perbendaharaan Lama. This research uses historical methods with technical library methods in order to study and analyse Hamka and his insight in historical science, as well as the historical methods used by Hamka, the sources he obtained, and approach he took. And the author finds that Hamka is quite compatible in historical science both in terms of work and from recognition of experts, as well Hamka’s historical methods in the book Dari Perbendaharaan Lama follows the historical method proposed by G.W.F. Hegel, namely method of reflective history type of pragmatic history. Hamka is an informal or non-academic historian, namely, a historian who has not studied history in depth. He is an autodidact in various sciences and knowledge. One of Hamka's areas of expertise is history, especially Islamic history; this is proven by his works in the field of history, one of which is From the Old Treasury, which was published in 1963. And not only that, Hamka's expertise in history is also recognized by academic or professional historians. Hamka, in writing history, collected his sources based on two categories, namely based on the legacy of the ancestors of the Indonesian people, such as kaba, saga, chronicle, etc., which generally contain elements of fairy tales or myths, and Hamka has his own way of interpreting them. Then, based on data from Western scholars, Hamka, who started his writing based on an Indocentric attitude, also looked at sources from Western scholars. Hamka's historical method in his book is in harmony with the historical method proposed by historian G.W.F. Hegel, namely the Reflective History method, a pragmatic historical type in which historians are able to present past events in the present. The essence of the writing is moral reflection and moral instruction through history with the hope that readers will always uphold existing moral values and prepare for the nation's future.

Abstract

Media sosial adalah salah satu bentuk interaksi antar manusia. Media sosial terdiri dari berbagai bentuk dan fungsi. Sekarang ini, fungsi media sosial bukan hanya sekedar untuk berinteraksi. Media sosial dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media untuk berbisnis, menyalurkan ide, dan sebagai salah satu bentuk media pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran melalui media sosial hadir karena siswa sudah akrab dengan media sosial. Selain itu, kecenderungan siswa untuk belajar melalui internet lebih tinggi pada zaman sekarang apabila dibandingkan dengan beberapa tahun sebelumnya. Media sosial juga membantu siswa untuk memahami pelajaran yang disampaikan. Hal ini dikarenakan pembelajaran melalui media sosial disampaikan secara menarik, singkat, namun padat akan informasi. Sebuah aplikasi berbagi foto dan video yang memungkinkan pengguna mengambil foto, mengambil video, menerapkan filter digital, dan membagikannya ke berbagai layanan jejaring sosial, termasuk milik Instagram sendiri. Instagram sudah menjadi bagian populer dari kehidupan masyarakat. Instagram memiliki banyak sekali kegunaan, yaitu memberikan hiburan berupa video kocak, meme (ide, perilaku, atau gaya yang menyebar dari satu orang ke orang lain dalam sebuah budaya); memberikan informasi terkini, baik dalam bentuk foto atau video; memberikan motivasi; serta memberikan pemahaman terhadap suatu ilmu pengetahuan. Pembelajaran saat ini merupakan pembelajaran yang modern. Sebagai pembelajaran yang modern, guru dituntut untuk tidak mengandalkan dirinya sendiri. Dimana siswa berperan sebagai pencari informasi. Guru hanyak menyampaikan dan menyediakan informasi. Sehingga, semakin banyak informasi yang disediakan oleh guru, maka akan semakin berkualitas pembelajaran tersebut. Salah satu sumber belajar yang digunakan para guru adalah sumber belajar dari internet. Guru dapat menggunakan media sosial sebagai salah satu sumber belajar, mencari Informasi dan Pengetahuan. kemudahan dan kecepatan yang ditawarkan oleh sosial media,membuat sosial media layak dipilih sebagai salah satu sumber belajar sejarah yang menarik.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning learning model in improving student learning outcomes in history subjects at the senior high school level. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Medan, with the research subjects being class XII students. The experimental research method was used with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The experimental group applied the Discovery Learning learning model, while the control group applied conventional learning. Data was collected through pre- and post-tests as well as classroom observations. Data analysis was carried out using an independent t-test. The research results showed that students who participated in learning using the Discovery Learning model produced significant improvements in their learning outcomes compared to the control group. This research concludes that the application of the Discovery Learning model is effective in improving the history learning outcomes of class XII students at SMA Negeri 2 Medan. Implications and suggestions for future research are also discussed. Thus, the conclusion of this research is that the Discovery Learning learning model has the potential to improve student learning outcomes and make a significant contribution to efforts to improve the quality of education at SMA Negeri 2 Medan and perhaps also in other educational institutions.
