This research done with the aim to describe the background socio historical author, describe the structure build a short story, describe the personality of the main character in the short story, and describe the implementation of the value of personality of the main character in the short story cerita pendek yang panjang as a teaching materials literature in high school. Research and research strategy this is a descriptive qualitative and case studies estabilished. Based on data analysis can be obtained as follows : background sosio historical story writer cerita pendek yang panjang, Hasta Indriyana is a writer from Gunungkidul, which has formulate the work of fiction and nonfiction and in a collection of the book together. The short story cerita pendek yang panjang, the main character is “Me”. Flow used in the short story this is a flow mixture. Background time in the short story is the case when the morning and afternoon while the background place of occurance is in a red light intersection three. Aspect of personalityin the short storythis includes the personality types of people wo empathyand the results of the motivation life can be implemented in the study level high school / MA class XI/I competence reading skills, the standard competence understand the elements of intrinsik nd extrinsic short stories Indonesian or translation.

This study aims to describe the use of language in the poem "Kepada Peminta-Minta" by Chairil Anwar. In the poem, Chairil Anwar uses many word choices with the intention of beautifying the poem in his own style, so that the reader is interested in finding out and understanding. The approach used in this analysis is the stylistic approach, which approach is suitable for use because it can affect creativity. Based on the results of the analysis, this poem emphasizes many aspects of word formation such as the use of language that encourages readers to truly understand the use of these languages so that the meaning contained in them can be known. In his poem that he created, Chairil Anwar was very expressionistic.

"Laskar Pelangi" novel is one of the communication media that is able to motivate readers through the contents of the novel. The style of language in Andrea Hirata's novel "Laskar Pelangi" plays an important role in overcoming the social gap in Indonesian society, so that the culture in Indonesia is not rampant in the world of education. The purpose of this research is to know how the Indonesian people are able to overcome the social inequalities in the society. The author intends to analyze this novel because in the novel many stories that tell the story of a person with simplicity, honesty, and tenacity. In view of the contents of the story contained in the novel, the author will try to study the style of metaphor language contained in the novel by using descriptive analytic methods.

This study examines the Character Conflict in Novel Rindu Karya Tere Liye. This novel depicts the events of human life that make the pilgrimage journey, but many save physical, social and mental conflicts. The problem that was studied about the conflict that was passed by the characters in the novel Rindu Karya Tere Liye. This study discusses to reveal a picture of character conflict in the novel Rindu by Tere Liye. This research includes library research. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using psychological discussion. The data used in this study is text that contains information about the characters in the novel Rindu by Tere Liye. The source of data in this study is Novel Rindu Karya Tere Liye published by Gramedia Main Library in 2014 with 544 pages. The technical data used is the technique of reading and recording. This Rindu novel by Tere Liye is an external and internal conflict. Internal conflicts consist of 2 and physical conflicts 3, while internal conflicts are internal conflicts or 5. It can be concluded that conflicts occur in inner conflicts.

Globalization is often referred to as the era that has resulted from the entry of foreign cultural expression. The impact of globalization can affect life, including the language aspect. Facts show among young people including students who use more Indonesian language. Of course this should be wary if you do not want the Indonesian language "disappeared" from the earth of Indonesia. This study aims: 1) to know the ability of IKIP Siliwangi students understand the Indonesian word equivalents; 2) to know the frequency of students of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung using the equivalent of the Indonesian word. This research uses descriptive qualitative, research object is student of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data collection techniques use simple calculation techniques. From the results of data analysis obtained: 1) the ability of IKIP Siliwangi Bandung students know the equivalence of the Indonesian word a number of 78.15%, 2) the frequency of students IKIP Siliwangi Bandung using the equivalent of the Indonesian word amount of 11.3%.

This research is motivated by at least a literaly work that discusses a position of woman in society in culture and marriage bond. The focus of research refers to relation of novel with author, novel with society and social purpose novel in society. The method that used in this research is drescriptive qualitative with the data source from Saman novel by Ayu Utami and some kind of relevant research. The result of reserch show that complexity of issues that presented in Saman accurate with data about social events in Indonesia.Through Saman, Ayu expressed her thoughts about religion, sex, marriage, race, economics, and politics. Besides, space, time, and event that used as reference contextual in Saman can't be separated from social and politics that causes it.At least, saman telling about process of land takeover, nepotism, abduction, social inequality, representing new order era that shows the attitude and the responses of the characters in the face of the problem.

This article aims to describe the results of research on the effect of language complexity in a text term and conditions on social networking sites to the interest of its users in reading the terms and conditions themselves. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, the sample in this study is the social media users who have a minimum of primary school education with various sexes, have used social media at least one site and spread in any city in Indonesia with a minimum sample size of 25 people. The research instrument used is a questionnaire that distributed through the Google Form service. The results showed that social media users consider that the term text and conditions in a social media use complex language and not simple, it is very influential on the small interest in reading the terms and condition.

This research was motivated by the existence of data from the observations in the form of evaluation data of Vocational School students, amounting to 20 students experiencing difficulties in learning to write anecdotal texts because the teacher did not involve students so students were less active and not motivated to learn. The study was made aimed at overcoming the problem, researchers used the mind mapping method in the hope of increasing the ability of students in learning to write anecdotal texts. This study uses a quasi-experimental design by designing a comparison of control group design with pretest-posttest data collection techniques. Based on the research the results of the average pretest score were 74.45 and posttest was 80.95. So the conclusion is that the application of mind mapping methods is very effectively applied in learning to write anecdotal texts because of the results of the comparison which shows an increase in value.

Research in this journal relates to the definition of prokem language, language analysis of the prokem, as well as the use of language prokem in social media . Prokem language is a slang language in certain circles and has become a colloquial language that is used by the public. Social media play a role for the spread of language p rokem more broadly, because social media is one way people to communicate between individuals with individuals and groups in a group. In addition, social media also penye bab the existence of language variations . The use of language in this social media prokem, will be examined using qualitative descriptive method to process data. Data collected by using simak method assisted by advanced technique in the form of technique of note and technique used is random sampling technique. The data taken comes from social media such as facebook, whatsapp, line, and instagram. This study examines the canges based on phonological structure, the language vocabulary of the prokem, the process of formation of the morphological language of the prokem, and the type of meaning in the language of the prokem.

As social creatures, we must be able to interact socially well with this easy-to-access environment and era. The author is interested in analyzing the novel Back because the novel is very interesting and the storyline that is presented is closely related to students and a social life that is often found in everyday life. This study aims to appreciate literature by reading, studying, enjoying the storyline and analyzing a novel titled Back by Sofia Mafaza. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods, using the study of literary sociology and intrinsic elements. Sociology as a study of literary works related to how one can interact with the surrounding environment. In the research sociology of literature study discusses 1). Sociology of authors 2). Social Condition 3). Social conditions of society 4). Religious values 5). Social society 6) Social culture 7). Intergovernmental social learning and students 8). Educational Value. From the results analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods, this novel discusses the main characters who can interact well between characters. Social interactions in the novel include mutual cooperation, social service, cooperation, meetings and counseling between siblings and siblings.
