Abstract

This article was created to analyze the languages used for dialogue in the contents of the manuscript entitled "Kabayan Mencari Cinta" by Salsabila Piriyanti. With code transfer and code mix, analyze the form of language transfer and interfere with the drama script "Kabayan Mencari Cinta" by Salsabila Piriyanti. Language is a communication tool or interaction tool that is only owned by humans, therefore defined as communication between humans, characterized by the use of symbols of oral or random symbols (arbitrary) according to the meaning that has been accepted. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method which means that this research analyze data and the result of the data in the form of description. From the analysis there are four languages used in the drama script "Kabayan Looking for Love" by Salsabila Piriyanti. Sample taken in this research is a character who is in Kabayan drama script looking for love that is: Kabayan, Neneng, Mba Putri, Abang Surya, Mba Anwa, Ivan, Mba Khansa, Euis, Iteung, Lilis, Abah Iteung and Mother Kabayan. And the language used, among others, Indonesian, Sundanese, Javanese and Betawi languages, in addition to find the phrases that are transfer code and mix code. There are ten codes and there are sixty-two mixed codes.

Abstract

This study analyzes the intrinsic elements and values of character education in the short story "The Story of Three Kingdoms" by David Victor. The reason the author chose this short story because the story is interesting, short, easy to understand and only focused on a conflict. This study aims to describe the intrinsic element and the value of character education. The findings show there are intrinsic elements that build the short story, among others: theme, plot, setting, character and characterization, the point of view, mandate, plot, and character are made with clear parts from preliminary to ending. It can be said as a short story that fills the whole structure. In addition found the values of character education in this short story such as creative, cooperation, love peace, caring, hard work, friendly and communicative. This short story can be used as learning material for prose literature in high school.

Abstract

The matter of this study is the problem of students who find it difficult when writing lecture texts, this can be seen from the results of repeated tests of students who did not meet the achievement targets of the success of evaluation. The researcher formulated this research problem in improving students' ability in writing pre-text lectures and after applying the CIRC method. The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in learning to write lecture texts. This research is in the form of one group pretest-posttest research, and the subject is class XI students totaling 44 students. The techniques applied are test and observation techniques. After all, data has been collected, researchers carry out data processing by analyzing data in the form of the results of all student work. Based on these results, the researcher can conclude that the test results have increased the value of students pre and post using the learning method. From the results of the pretest, the students' scores were 73.8. While the posttest value of students is 83.6. This refers to the hypothesis made if the teacher uses the CIRC learning method, the ability of students to write lecture texts will increase.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the language that used in Romeo and Juliet movie by Andibachtiar Yusuf with switching code and mixing code. Analyzing the form of switching code and mixing code on the dialogue of Romeo and Juliet movie by Andibachtiar Yusuf. Language is a tool of communication or a tool of interaction that only human can have, therefore its defined as communication between humans, characterized by the use of spoken or random symbols (arbitrary) in the sense that has been received. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative method. It means that this research analyzing the data and the result of the data is present in the descriptive. From the analysis, there are five language that used in Romeo and Juliet movie, includes English, Indonesian, Sundanese, Javanese and Betawi. Moreover, the researcher could find phrases that are switching code and mixing code. There are five switching code and eighteen mixing code.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the curiosity of researchers regarding the effect of using the picture and picture method in writing poetry texts in class XI students. This research was conducted to determine the level of success obtained in the use of the picture and picture method in writing poetry texts. The first activity carried out when the study was observed when the learning process was running, then a questionnaire was given to students. The selected subjects were class XI Language students totaling 22 people. The formulation of the problem contained, 1) is the picture and picture method effectively applied in learning to write poetry texts? 2) can the picture and picture learning method increase students' interest in learning text writing poetry? There are also research objectives, among others, 1) to determine the effectiveness of learning to write poetry texts using the method of picture and picture 2) to increase students' interest in learning to write poetry texts using the picture and picture method. The method applied in this study is descriptive qualitative. The researcher chose the technique of collecting data by observing and testing. The results of the study show that the picture and picture method is suitable for writing poetry texts. This can be seen with an increase in the value of 10.8% from the average value of 79.7 pretests and posttest average value 88.3.

Abstract

This research is based on the researcher's curiosity about the effectiveness of the use of Image Streaming method in learning short story writing in class XI. Aiming to find an increase from the initial value to the final value in short story writing lesson using the method of Image Streaming in class XI. This research begins with the activity of giving the initial test in class XI IPS 2 SMA Darul Falah Cihampelas, then continued with treatment in the form of Image Streaming method in short story writing lesson, and continued giving final test by the researcher to see effectiveness of the method use, data by using descriptive qualitative research methods that describe the results of the value obtained in the field. The results showed that the method of streaming image was effective in learning short story writing, since the average score of the initial test score was 59 and the final test was 80.1, there was a 47% improvement from the initial test to the final test.

Abstract

This research is based on the curiosity of researchers in the use of think talk write method towards review text learning in class VIII Mts Asaasuttarbiyah Mande. From the research background, researchers can draw a problem statement, namely Is the think talk write method effectively used in learning to write review texts? and thus the researcher aims to determine the ability to write review texts on class VIII Mts Asaasuttarbiyah this study also intends to determine the effectiveness of the think talk write method in learning to write review texts. Review texts are chosen because they can help students train students in the language fluently and develop student writing. The method that the researcher uses is the experimental method. In this study, the researchers used one group design pretest-posttest. Data taken by researchers is quantitative data, namely data analyzed by passing statistical analysis techniques. The class that the researcher chooses is class VIII A with 30 students being sampled for the research material. For this reason the results of the study state that the initial test (pretest) and the final test (posttest) change or increase with the results of the initial test 63 and the final test average 81 results. For this reason, the researcher can conclude that the writers' talk method is effective (influential) to be used in learning to write review texts.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of field trip method in learning to write poetry text on class X student of Administration Office 2 SMK Negeri 2 Karawang. The population in this study is all students of class X Administration Office 2 SMK Negeri 2 Karawang with the number of 50 students. The sample in this study amounted to 25 students taken at random simple with random sampling. The instrument used to collect data is the assignment of essay writing essay writing poetry. The method used in this research is the experimental method. Hypothesis testing is done by using "t" test of data processing, obtained the average value of pre test (pre-test) 9,6 and end test (post-test) 14,2. T-count is 2,760 and df 72, p value is obtained 0,002 so p <0,05 meaning significant. So that there is a difference in this study and based on statistical calculations obtained means that the final test (post-test) is better than pre-test and field trip method is very effective to be used in learning to write poetry text.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate the use of figurative language on poems written by Soni Farid Maulan. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative approach. This study was conducted by understanding and analyzing figurative language in the poems. The result showed that Soni Farid Maulana’s poems had particular characteristic. The characteristic could be seen from the use of figurative language on his three poems. Furthermore, the figurative language consists of simile, personification, and metaphor.

Abstract

Any lyrics in the song must have a specific purpose that wish to be conveyed to his listeners. Therefore, every song lyrics will be delivered with an interesting language. The writing of the song lyrics will not regardless of the style of the language poets includes either word choice or sentence structure, diction, or figure of speech. This research will describe the figure of speech which featured in the lyrics of the song "until the end of Time" by Eross Candra through stylistical research. Assessment against this research object using the document analysis techniques by reading the lyrics to a song that will be analyzed, understood the meaning of the lyrics of the song, then find words containing figure of speech in the song lyrics and describe it. The result of stylictical research in the lyrics “Until end of Time” indicates that the song's lyrics contain a wide variety of figure of speech, including comparison; simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole, contradiction, and parallelism or repetition of words at the end.
