Abstract

The "Kamus Kecil" poem by Joko Pinurbo has a unique and simple language structure. The unusual process of creation makes the reader interested. It is related to the unique and simple language used to be unique to become research material. The purpose of this study was to analyze the meaning in a poem by Joko Pinurbo or who was familiar with Jokpin entitled "Kamus Kecil". The method used in the research on Joko Pinurbo's poem "Kamus Kecil" uses qualitative research methods that examine the "content" of the object under study. In addition, this poem was dissected using a semiotic approach which converged on the assure theory about the development of linguistics. In the poem "Kamus Kecil" Jokpin stated that inspiration did not need to be sought. He is in everyday life. In other words, Jokpin wants to state that so easy poetry is created only by simple and meaningful wordplay. So that in the poem "Kamus Kecil" one of the most unique poems that researchers read. The results of the study of the poem "Kamus Kecil" are divided into three aspects; symbols, icons, indices. Among the symbols contained in the poem are signs that are generated by simple diction making the meaning contained in the poem have a unique allure. The simple and intriguing play of words raised from daily activities is a characteristic of Jokpin's poetry.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) study the semiotics of the short story "Call on Early Days" by Yatti Sadeli using the method of semiotic study, and (2) to describe the moral value contained in the short story in the form of social criticism message. the short story "call in the morning" is examined by step; (1) intensive reading of the short story, (2) analyzing with the semiotic study, and (3) analyzing the moral element in the form of social criticism message, then describing it. After going through the study, there is a message of social criticism delivered by Yatti sadeli to the reader.

Abstract

In Indonesia, interest in reading in all circles is still lacking, especially among students and students who are actually people who are struggling in the world of education. This is because the school community does not understand the benefits of literacy. In addition, there are quite a lot of obstacles that occur during reading activities. Today the government makes a policy to foster a culture of literacy through how to familiarize students with reading for 10-15 minutes before learning is carried out. The main subject of this research is class X students. The formulation of the research problem this time is: 1) How is the influence of GLS in increasing student attention reading? 2) What are the obstacles in literacy? The purpose of this study is to be able to determine the influence and barriers of the GLS program to attend to reading students in vocational schools. The type of research method used is a type of qualitative research. The process of collecting the data used is a questionnaire. The results of this study illustrate that attention or interest in reading students increases this can be seen from the results of questionnaires that illustrate that attention to reading of students increases after the GLS student literacy culture can be improved, their reading activities can be observed, and their reading skills develop well by growing literacy culture in students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of students' ability to write exposition texts in accordance with the structure and students tend to be difficult in making an exposition text. The researcher formulated the problem namely, whether the Think Pair Share method could improve students' ability to write exposition text. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the value of writing exposition student text at the pretest and posttest stages using the Think Pair Share method. This study uses a one group pretest post-test design method. The results of student grades at the time of the pretest and posttest were treated using qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. Quantitatively the researcher processes student grade data to look for mean scores and comparison of pre-test and post-test scores, while qualitative analysis techniques describe the results of student grade data. The sample in this study was class VIII, amounting to 30 students. The results showed that there was an increase in students' writing ability using the Think Pair Share method at the time of the posttest with the acquisition of an average that was greater than the pretest. The pretest obtained an average of 60, then at the posttest stage obtained an average of 80. Thus the use of Think Pair Share method is effectively used in exposition text writing activities because it can improve students' ability to write exposition text and can improve student grades.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties faced by students when writing exposition texts, one of which is that there are still many students who complain in developing ideas to make a writing and lack of students' understanding of the exposition text structure. To overcome this problem, we need a learning method that has never been applied to students, namely the mind mapping method. Mind mapping method can increase students to write exposition text, because it can store material easily into the brain and can easily be expressed again. In this study, researchers used the experimental method by collecting data in the form of initial tests (pre-test) and final tests (post-test) with a sample of 30 MTs students. Based on the data obtained, the comparison of the results of learning exposition text writing with a mind mapping method can affect the learning process. Evidence states that the comparison results obtained by students are quite significant, before using mind mapping methods obtain an average of 73.2 and after using the mind mapping method obtain an average of 81.36. So, writing learning using the mind mapping method can be used in the classroom in learning exposition text writing.

Abstract

The learning of writing drama texts is generally less attractive to students because of the difficulty of students starting the writing process and developing words into appropriate sentences. This research was conducted to examine learning to write drama texts using the picture and picture method in class XI students at SMAN 1 MANIIS. The formulation of the problem in this study is the difficulty experienced by students in learning to write drama texts. This study aims to describe learning to write drama texts using the picture and picture method and to answer the problem formulation. This research method uses descriptive qualitative and uses data collection techniques in the form of writing skills tests. Based on the results of research conducted on students of class XI with a total of 20 students during the learning process, it shows that there is an increase in the average score obtained by students, the initial test gets an average score of 61 and the final test gets an average score of 75.5. These results indicate an increase in each test.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a lot of student writing that does not fit into the structure of the text of a fantasy story due to several factors that make it difficult for students to pour their writing. In this research, formulate a way to make student writing in making fantasy story text according to its structure? The purpose of this study was to describe fantasy stories based on agreed structure, complications and resolution. Get acquainted with junior high school students in writing fantasy story texts according to the structure and language of fantasy stories. Therefore, this study focuses more on the results of student skills, for the analysis of each of the results of his writing to fit the text structure of fantasy stories. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The instrument in this study is about texts that write fantasy stories to students. Analysis of the data in this study includes the results of the study that were approved by two assessors namely assessor 1 and assessor 2 responded by calculating the average results of student writing. With the subject of research successful students 22 people. The value of the results of this study of 3 fantasy story text structure of the discussion, complications and maximum approval of 8.75, an average value of 75 and a minimum value of 50. These results show how the ability of students in writing fantasy story text is sufficiently in accordance with the demand for text structure fantasy story.

Abstract

Literary work is not only a word for word series that has aesthetic value, but also talks about the values of life. To understand the value contained in literary works, readers need to read, know, and analyze the elements in these literary works. One of the literary works that will be analyzed by the researcher is a short story entitled Pena by Rika. This research was conducted with the aim of describing the intrinsic elements in the short story Pena and describing the moral values contained in the short story. The research approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative using structural methods and content analysis strategies. The data source used is a collection of selected short stories Kompas 2017. With data collection steps; (1) reading the short story "Pena" intensively, (2) analyzing the cohesiveness of the short story's intrinsic elements and describing it, (3) analyzing the moral elements the writer wants to convey in the short story and describing it. The conclusions of this study are: (1) the intrinsic elements contained in the short stories of the Pena from the Compass Selected Short Story Collection 2017 include plot, setting, theme, characterization, point of view, mandate, and language style. (2) moral values contained in the short stories Pena from the Compass Selected Short Story Collection 2017.

Abstract

Berbahasa merupakan kegiatan berkomunikasi yang di lakukan di lingkungan masyarakat baik lisan ataupun tulisan. Kegiatan berbahasa tulis banyak sekali dijumpai di media luar ruang di kecamatan Cihampelas, Bandung Barat. Akan tetapi bahasa yang dipakai jauh dari norma berbahasa, hal tersebut diakibatkan kurang pahamnya masyarakat terhadap penulisan berbahasa yang baik dan benar seperti penggunaan kata baku, struktur kalimat, pleonasme, dan pemilihan diksi yang kurang tepat. Maka dapat ditarik rumusan masalah yaitu bagaimanakah hasil analisis dan pembenaran bentuk-bentuk kesalahan berbahasa pada media luar ruang di kecamatan Cihampelas, Bandung Barat? Penelitian ini bertujuan      memaparkan hasil analisis dan pembenaran bentuk-bentuk kesalahan berbahasa yang ditemui pada media luar ruang di kecamatan Cihampelas, Bandung Barat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan kesalahan berbahasa yang ditemui. Objek penelitian yaitu media luar ruang di kecamatan Cihampelas, Bandung Barat. Subjek penelitian grobak dorong, spanduk, dan papan reklame. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi dan studi kasus. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan teknik simak, rekam, dan catat. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian ini terdapat 11 kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia pada penulisan media luar ruang di kecamatan Cihampelas, Bandung Barat di antaranya; 5 kesalahan dalam bidang fonologi, 2 kesalahan dalam bidang morfologi, 2 kesalahan dalam bidang sintaksis, dan 2 kesalahan dalam bidang semantik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis aspek stilistika salah satu karya sastra dari puisi “Selamat Pagi Indonesia” karya Sapardi Djoko Damono”. Lebih mendalam analisis akan mengarah pada citraan yang tergambar pada puisi tersebut. Stilistika adalah ilmu pemanfaatan bahasa dalam karya sastra. Gaya bahasa secara khusus dalam karya sastra melahirkan citraan tersendiri dari seorang pengarang. Citraan erat kaitannya dengan pancaindera manusia yang terdiri dari penglihatan, pendengaran, penciuman, perabaan, gerak, dan pencecapan. Harapannya melalui adanya efek tersebut, pesan puisi bisa tersampaikan oleh penulisnya. Dasar pengambilan keputusan penelitian ini adalah telaah citraan yang terkandung dalam puisi. Objek materil dari penelitian ini adalah puisi “Selamat Pagi Indonesia” karya Sapardi Djoko Damono. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan pendekatan stilistik dengan metode deskriptif analisis yang bertujuan untuk memberikan suatu fenomena secara analisis aspek stilistika puisi Selamat Pagi Indonesia dan menempatkan manusia (peneliti) sebagai subjek peneliti.  Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi serta observasi dengan membaca yang dilanjutkan pencatatan. Prosesnya melalui pencatatan hal-hal yang berhubungan dengan yang diteliti saja. Hasil penelitan yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa gaya bahasa pada puisi berjudul selamat pagi Indonesia mendukung fokus dalam penelitian ini, yakni kekhasan bahasa dan kepadatan bahassa yang sesuai untuk dikaji dengan stilistika. Puisi Sapardi berjudul Selamat Pagi Indonesia memang terlihat menggunakan diksi yang sederhana namun tidak melemahkan makna puisi tersebut. Hal ini terlihat pada penggunaan diksi dan citra dalam menggambarkan dan mengatakan gambaran mengenai situasi Indonesia kepada pembaca. Makna yang terkandung mewakili pandangan orang terhadap realita kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia melalui gambaran dari berbagai citraan seperti citraan penglihatan, pendengaran, perasaan, dan perabaan
