Abstract

Abstract Indonesian language literacy needs to be instilled in junior high school students by paying attention to their listening, reading, speaking and writing skills so that they are skilled in language. The meaning of literacy has progressed so as to require students to practice critical thinking. The purpose of this study is to improve literacy skills in Indonesian in junior high school students by implementing GLS. The problems examined in the study are examining students interest in reading and difficulty understanding the contents of the book. Research conducted using descriptive qualitative methods that describe the results of strengthening Indonesian-language literacy with GLS in SMPN 2 Cimahi. The technique of collecting data is done through observing students reading activities every day for 15 minutes. The results showed that strengthening Indonesian language literacy with GLS was able to improve language literacy in terms of students iinterest in reading and critical understanding.Keywords: Strengthening literacy, GLS, junior high school students

Abstract

The use of teaching materials during learning activities needs to be maximized so that the delivery of the material is more interesting and triggers the activeness of students in the class. Based on the results of online interviews and comparative analysis of two different theses, the produced special teaching materials using prezi with qualitative descriptive methods. From the results obtained, the analysis criteria include (1) material or content, (2) presentation of material, (3) suitability of material with student characteristics, (4) readability, and (5) language. The final product of this research is teaching material in the form of a guidebook of the preparation of teaching materials which contains four parts, namely (1) getting to know the prezi application, (2) the steps for making teaching materials using the prezi application, (3) writing biographical texts using the prezi application, and (4) Examples of teaching materials for writing biographical texts use the prezi application with the role playing method. The assessment of the feasibility of designing teaching materials was carried out by three judgement experts. Two lecturers of Indonesian Language and Literature Education at the IKIP Siliwangi and an Indonesian language subject teacher. The result of the combined validity is 94.73% with very valid category, it can be used but it needs a small revision. It is hoped that this research will make it easier for teachers to convey biographical text material for 10th grade students and be able to improve students' writing skills.

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia as the lingua franca for the Indonesian people is often interfered by vernacular languages. One of the factors which affect the languages itself is language diversity. Most of the people do not make Bahasa Indonesia as mother tongue, though it is a lingua franca in Indonesia. The respondents in this study obtained the vernacular languages as a mother tongue. The Scouts member of IKIP Siliwangi came from different regions, which affecting the vernacular language interference into Bahasa Indonesia. This sociological factor affects them in social interactions, which in turn produce language interference both in vocabularies, dialects, accents, to sentence structure in spoken language both intentionally and unintentionally.

Abstract

The background of this research was based on the intereset in reviwing the langguange style in the poem using a semiotic approach. The poem a analyzed titeld “DEBU” by Abdul Wachid B.S. The purposes of this research is; 1) knowing the use of language styles of the poem analyzed, 2) knowing the meaning and marker using a semiotic approach. 3) Describe the contents of the poem analayzed. In this research using a qualitative descriptive method, namely the method used to describe the analysis of the object research by paying anttention to researchers as a key instrument in the data collection. In addition, this research uses a semiotic approach. The subjects of this study were “DEBU” poem by Abdul Wachid B.S. The results of this research can be seen from the use of language styles in these poem using several varied language and styles ranging from allegory, antitesis, metaphors, simile, repetition, and hyperbole. In addition, the semiotics approach is used to provide signifier and signified to find out the meaning contained in the phrase. The outline the meaning contained in the poem is; lifelike in the world only temporarily there is no need to be arrogant and humans also live only bring good attitude. The poem has a romantic religious friend with a bland of beautiful phrases. The topic in this research was able to be a motivation to make a literary work of poetry.

Abstract

Menulis merupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang menuangkan suatu ide, gagasan, maupun perasaan dalam bentuk tulisan dan dapat menjadi suatu alat komunikasi. Keterampilan ini sangat sulit dalam pembelajaran, karena tidak sedikit siswa yang tidak dapat menuangkan suatu gagasan ke dalam bentuk tulisan. Cerpen merupakan suatu karya yang sederhana dengan tidak melibatkan banyak alur. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan keingintahuan mengenai proses dan hasil meningkanya keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk 1) mengatahui perbedaan keterampilan menulis sebelum tes dan setelah tes menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif model Jigsaw pada pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 di SMAN 2 Padalarang; 2) keefektifan model pada pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen kelas XI MIPA 2. Metode yang akan digunakan oleh peneliti adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 25 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara (baik secara langsung, maupun tidak lansgung), dan dokmentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai keterampilan menulis teks cerpen siswa mendapatkan nilai tertinggi 87 , nilai terendah 75, dan nilai rata-rata 81.08 dengan adanya hasil penulisan teks cerpen dengan menggunakan model Jigsaw, dapat diambil kesimpulannya dengan menggunakan model jigsaw  pada kelas XI MIPA 2 dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks cerpen.

Abstract

Swear words are woreds that are spoken when the speaker is in an emotional, condition, swear words usually have a negative meaning. However, in thid study swear words no longer have a negative meaning  if the speaker and the interlocutor are close. In this study, the researcher investigate swear words come from Sundanese. This study aims to determine the from and function of swear words to familiarize the atmosphere used by the students of IKIP Siliwangi. The research subjects wareclass B4 2016 students of Indonesian Language Study Program of IKIP Siliwangi. Describing the from and functio of swear words that are commonly used by college students is no longer a taboo thing, because basically they say swear words is only for greeting and their way of making the conversation not stiff but rather build intimacy and closeness between friends. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was done by listening to collage and field observation. Based on the study results of the study, it can be concluded that there are two forms of swear words used by collage students of  IKIP Siliwangi  students, (1) reference swear words from a spirit and (2) references to one’s mental condition. The funcion of swear words that exist among college students is merely to familiarize the atmosphere when they are in a conversation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa ketika menuangkan ide dan gagasan dalam memproduksi teks cerpen dengan menentukan struktur dan kebahasaan teks cerpen. Lebih banyak siswa yang belum mengerti dibandingkan siswa yang sudah paham mengenai cara menulis teks cerpen. Maka penulis mengujicobakan metode estafet writing sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Metode estafet writing merupakan metode pembelajaran yang melibatkan siswa belajar aktif secara bersama-sama, berkelompok maupun individu untuk menghasilkan sebuah teks cerpen. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui 1) apakah metode estafet writing dapat menumbuhkan kemahiran menulis teks cerpen 2) apakah terdapat perbedaan sebelum atau setelah menggunakan metode estafet writing. Tujuan peneliti untuk keterampilan menulis ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen tipe one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI dengan jumlah 25 siswa. Rata-rata test pretest siswa sebesar 63,08 dan rata-rata hasil posttest sebesar 79,96. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut terlihat perbedaan sebelum dan setelah diberikan perlakuan. Kesimpulannya pengunaan metode estafet writing efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen.

Abstract

AbstractLiterary work is an expression of the feeling of a person's life that is portrayed in beautiful writing. Poetry is a literary work in the form of writing which is the result of a person's thoughts which are expressed in a dense diction and influenced by the imagination of the author. A poem must have a message or advice and an inner structure implied in it. In this study, researchers will find out about the inner structure contained in a poem. The poem chosen in this research is“Kerendahan Hati” by Taufik Ismail. The researcher considers that the poem implies a meaningful value of life. Therefore, the research aims to find out the inner structure contained in the poem “Kerendahan Hati” by Taufik Ismail. The method chosen by the researcher was descriptive because it was able to describe the phenomema factually and in detail. The results of the analysis carried out show that the poem of "Kerendahan Hati" has a humble theme. This poem also has a feeling and a solemn tone, felt in every line containing the parable of life. Keywords: Analysis, inner structure, poetry.

Abstract

This research is based on the research curiosity about speech acts and speech events that occur in interactions with traders and buyers in vegetable shops. From the background of the research, a problem statement can be drawn, namely how do speech acts and speech events occur at the interaction of traders and buyers at the vegetable shop? This study intends to find out the speech acts and speech events that occur in the interaction of traders and buyers in the vegetable shop. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with the object of the research is the interaction of vegetable traders and buyers in a shop near residential areas of residents. The subjects of this study are speech acts and speech events that occur in the interaction of traders and buyers. The results of this study show conclusions, namely the variety of uses of language variations in the form of speech acts and speech events conducted by traders and buyers when interacting.

Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh sulitnya menggunakan bahasa sesuai dengan fungsinya bagi peserta didik. Banyak aturan dan tata bahasa yang harus dipelajari dan juga materi yang harus disampaikan oleh guru mata pelajaran. Oleh karena itu, untuk mempermudah proses pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang disampaikan dan pemahaman siswa terhadap fungsi bahasa, maka guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia perlu menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif, salah satunya adalah metode Accelerated Learning. Accelerated Learning merupakan metode pembelajaran yang mana peserta didik dengan mudah mampu memahami materi pembelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru tanpa ada kesan monoton, karena di dalam accelerated learning disajikan mengenai cara belajar menyenangkan dengan mengedepankan pemahaman peserta didik.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan gairah belajar peserta didik dalam Bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode accelerated learning. Dalam hal ini, metode accelerated learning melatih siswa untuk berinteraksi, berkreasi, sehingga siswa lebih tertarik dalam menerima materi pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.
