Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to know if the skills of writing descriptive text using synthetic analytic method is better than using the usual method. Writing skills are harder to master. Though it is important for students to master writing skills. In the Indonesian Language curriculum, writing skills are taught especially in junior high school (SMP). Teachers are encouraged to pay more attention to teaching the structure of the descriptive text in developing ideas, setting ideas, and vocabulary. From these problems the writer offers the use of Synthetic Analytic approach to improve students' understanding in learning Indonesian language in junior high.  However, in reality learning writing in schools still face a lot of obstacles and tend to be avoided. This study used quasi-experimental method. The population in this study is one of the students of SMP Negeri in Bandung and the subject of the research sample 2 classes of class VII.  Based on the results of research and discussion obtained Sig value. 0.001 because the value of Sig < 0.05 then H0 rejected means the improvement of students' text writing skills using synthetic analytic methods is better than those who get the usual method of learning used by teachers. Keywords: Writing skills, Synthetic Analytical Method

Abstract

The results showed that Based on the results of process assessment and post-test results on learning Cycles I and Cycle II, it can be seen the impact of the intensity of utilization of natural media around the learning result of writing procedure text. This is evidenced by the level of student activity and mastery of the study material. In the first cycle of I meeting, the average of students activity was 47.06% and the average result was 67.65. Students who achieve mastery of 10 students with a percentage of 29.41%. In the first cycle of meeting II the average of student activity 61,76% and seen from the average of the test result of the participant is 65,20. Students who achieve the completeness of 18 students with a percentage of 52.94% in the second cycle of the meeting I the average activity of 67.65% participants and the average student test result is 73.62. learners who achieve mastery of 20 students with a percentage of 58.82%. In the second cycle of meeting II, the average of learners activity 94.12% and the average student test result is 84.25. Students who achieve mastery of 29% of learners or 85.29%, while 5 students with a percentage of 14.71% have not been completed. It can be concluded that the utilization of natural media around in learning to write text procedures can improve the activities and learning outcomes of learners.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bilingual, especially for the people of Indonesia is common. This is influenced by presence factor L1 and L2 or first language (mother) and second language. Bilingual exists in every country in the world, there are also in every society and all age groups. Based on the way it occurs, bilingualism can be distinguished into the natural bilingualism of natural bilingualism or primary bilingualism and secondary bilingualism secondary boldness. Natural bravery takes place without specific training, while secondary biology occurs through the teaching of a second language that is designed and implemented systematically. Based on the concepts of bilingual that have been mentioned above, in this study, the authors formulate that bilingualism is the habit of the use of two languages in everyday life. The existence of the ability of the two languages, making a person has an option in using the language. Furthermore, the view held is a minimalist view.

Abstract

Based on the above title the problem formulation as follows: 1) Is the writing skills of the text of the junior high school students whose learning using exploratory approach is better than using conventional methods? 2) Is the learning creativity of junior high school students whose learning using exploratory approach is better than conventional method? 3) Is there a relationship between students' learning creativity with text writing skills procedures? 4) How does the student picture at the time of writing text writing procedures? this study aims to obtain the results 1) to know the skills of writing scientific work of junior high school students whose learning using exploratory approach is better than using conventional methods. 2) to know the creativity of junior high school students whose learning using exploratory approach is better than a conventional method. 3) to find out the relationship between junior high school students' creativity with the skill of writing procedure text. 4) to know the description of students at the time of writing text writing procedures. The hypothesis of this study shows that the students' learning outcomes using exploratory approaches are better than conventional methods on Indonesian subjects regarding writing procedure text.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing prevalence of school-age adolescents who become entrepreneurs, both online and offline, entrepreneurial spirit, and skills possessed by teenagers need to get motivation or motivation, with this research expected to shape the character of young entrepreneurs in school age used in this study is descriptive qualitative, namely finding and knowing the facts that occur related to adolescents to be eunterreunerers at school age, by interviewing, documenting and observation, because based on data while 60% of school students have entrepreneurship, the solution to this problem is forming the character of entrepreneurial spirit to become a "skipper at school age" by providing motivation and skill to become an eunterreuner. Then learning Entrepreneurship so that the entrepreneurial spirit in adolescents can be channeled even though it is in public and not a vocational school so that unemployment at a young age can be overcome and can compete in the industrial era 4.0.

Abstract

Learning to edit short story texts is one of the lessons that are difficult for students to master. This is evident when observing the school that students feel difficulty in applying the text according to the grammar in a writing. The purpose of this study is 1) To describe the activities carried out by teachers and students when learning to edit short story texts using the think pair share model. 2) To find out the difference between the results of the initial test and the final test of learning to edit the short story text before and after using the think pair share model. 3) To describe students' responses to learning to edit short story texts using the think pair share model. The researcher used the pre-experimental design method, while the design of this study was one group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample of the study were conducted in one class, namely class XI with samples of class XI AP 2, amounting to 30 people. The results of teacher activity data on learning to edit short story texts using the think pair share model is 92% while student activities are 95%. This shows that the activities of teachers and students run effectively. While the results of the data obtained that there is an increase in the value of students before using the think pair share model on the initial test get an average value of 50 and experience an increase after using the think pair share model on the final test with an average value of 78. There is a difference in the average value students between pretest and posttest is 28. Based on the results of the t-test, the sig value is obtained 0,000, the value is ≤ 0.05. Thus, H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected. Then it can be concluded that learning to edit short story texts using the think pair share model increases students' ability to edit short story texts.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of writing scientific papers for students. Especially the final graduated sarjana dgree students who are compiling research paper. Therefore, this reserach focuses on analyzing case studies of student’s internal problems. The aim of this reserach is to find out how much student’s internal problems in writing a research paper. This research is a case study which is part of qualitative research. Therefore, the method of this research used cuse study method. The subject of this research was a student’s final graduated sarjana dgree of English Education Study Program of IKIP Siliwangi. The instruments used were observation, questionnaire and interview. In short, the results of the research as follows; First, student felt difficult when pouring out the main ideas in writing process. Second, student felt stress when he do not know the system of writing. Third, student felt lazy with writing activities cause he can not to think critically. Fourth, student has  not experienced of writing researh paper  before. Fifth, student lack of reading books. Sixth, students luck of self motivation then appear do not confident in writing research paper. Seventh lacks understanding of the topics discussed. The last, student’s disciplines in managing time.

Abstract

The issue of online prostitution has lately been discussed. The involvement of the artists was allegedly a trigger for the crowd over the discourse on the reporting of online prostitution. This research focuses on daily reporting of the compass regarding the discourse of online prostitution. The research method used is a qualitative approach with qualitative-descriptive analysis techniques. Critical Discourse Analysis which refers to the perspective of Foucault’s power relations as a research knife. The results of the study show that the rise of artists involved in online prostitution is assumed to be the demand of their image which has been formed by the media as people who must appear perfectly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of Leeuwen inclusion theory in the news as for the stages used by researchers are (4M) Reading, Understanding, Marking, and Analyzing. In stage (1) the researcher reads the news in the Pikiran Rakyat newspaper, (2) the researcher understands the discourse that is available in the newspaper (3) the researcher marks the discourse to be analyzed and (4) the researcher analyzes the discourse that has been marked based on Lee's inclusion theory. In this study researchers used a qualitative method of describing the findings of data that researchers had discovered. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded, Leeuwen's inclusioan theory found in four criminal news titles with the theme of "corruption" in the People's Mind Newspaper and January 2019 edition of Tribun Jabar amounted to three of the seven existing theories, namely objectivity, Determination, and assimilation -individualization. So, it can be concluded in writing criminal news with the theme of "corruption" Journalists still hide actors. The concealment of actors by journalists is done by using passive sentences in the headline.

Abstract

Language is something that is very important because by using language a person can communicate and adapt, and based on good and correct speech, he/she becomes an individual who has the morality of karimah. A society can be classified as having good characters if they use polite and appropriate language in daily life or various opportunities. In line with the goals and objectives of national development, national education is directed at efforts to improve the quality of Indonesian people. Humans with faith and devoted to God Almighty are those with virtuous character, personality, disciplined, hardworking, tough, responsible, independent, intelligent and skilled, and healthy physical and physical. In this connection, teachers, as the spearhead, are good role model in the eyes of their students. The teachers are those who are followed and imitated by students. Even thousands of teachers teach in various schools or formal and informal institutions, teachers are scattered in rural and urban areas throughout Indonesia. The teacher is one of the centers for the development of mental mentality in societies with different sociocultural stratification. Teachers can produce sociocultural and civilizational stratification in the sense of forming good and noble character of moral character, thus there must be coaching in every aspect in order to create a synergy between good and right language with moral character to the high school teachers in the district of Kec. Jalan Cagak Kab. Subang.
