Abstract

Problems in making rhymes sometimes occur in several public elementary schools in Bandung in the academic year 2019/2020. Based on observations and interviews with teachers conducted by researchers in fourth-grade students SDN 037 Negeri Sabang found that there is a low motivation to learn students seen from the inactivity of students asking questions when given the opportunity to ask questions by the teacher; Researchers set problem-solving with the TTW learning model to solve problems in the learning process of writing rhymes for fourth-grade students of SDN 037 Sabang. The purpose of this research is by choosing the TTW model because the TTW model helps students to understand the subject matter through direct learning using the TTW model so that students are able to carry out the stages of thinking and noting the unknowns correctly, discussing in groups, and writing rhymes. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study in the form of the application of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model helped students in fourth-grade students in SDN 037 Sabang Bandung in completing their poetry writing assignments and helped students in fourth-grade students in SDN 037 Sabang Bandung in thinking (think) and communicating with friends (talk ), teachers, and even with themselves in producing work in the form of poetry writing skills (write).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the pre-reading learning of grade II students using game techniques to complement online-based stories. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were students of class II SD Negeri 009 Cikadut, Bandung City with 32 students consisting of 13 male students and 19 female students. The instruments used were teacher and student observation sheets, questions about completing the story, and teacher and student questionnaires. The results showed that there was an increase in the quality of learning when the application of game techniques complemented the story. This is indicated by the mean value of reading comprehension at the beginning of the class of 80.63 which is classified as in the good category, the highest score of students is 96 and the lowest score is 62. Students' learning completeness shows that 84.0% of students get scores above the minimum completeness criteria and 16 , 0% still scored below the minimum completeness criteria value

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of students understanding the concept of the material well. This study aims to obtain a description of the achievement and improvement of poetry reading comprehension skills for fourth-grade elementary school students using the Think Pair Share (TPS) model. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. In this study, the population was taken as grade IV SD students. As for the samples of this study were students of the Mutiara Bunda Elementary School in Bandung City class 4 Surfing, totaling 20 people. The instrument used in this study was a short questionnaire containing 5 questions of poetry text. Data analysis was carried out by qualitative descriptive. The data is taken from the results of observations, interviews, written tests, and filling out questionnaires. In the calculation of test instruments and data processing using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 22 programs. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the students' reading comprehension ability to read poetry was achieved using the Think Pair Share model. Students find it easier to understand the meaning and vocabulary in poetry as well as train their confidence by expressing opinions and discussing with their partners in small groups.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze (1)scenarios and implementation constructivism approach, (2) the response of teachers and students, (3) The difficulties experienced by students in complete a task. The subject of this research are 15 students of fourth (IV) grade of SDN Palintang Jaya. 5 Students high level, 5 Students middle, 5 students low level. This research is a qualitative methods. The scenario and point to finding froms the students can more active teacher lesson learned by means of concrete using media and social interaction between teachers or friends. A good response from teachers and students. The difficulties experienced by students in complete a task, because the students are still unable to use mathematics concept. Based on the result of this research shows that reach mathematical understanding ability, after following construtivism approach.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the hand on activity method affected the ability of elementary students to understand the mathematical concept of multiplication material. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pretest-postest design. The population in this study were all class II SD Plus Al - Aitaam Bandung for the 2019/2020 academic year with a sample of 112 students. The sampling technique was taken by using a purposive sampling technique. In this study, two classes were used as the research sample and two classes were chosen to be used as research with the category A-class (II Utsman) as the experimental class and class B (II Hafsoh) as the control class. Based on the results of the ANOVA test, it turns out that in the learning class using the hands-on activity method with the lecture method the sig value = 0.040, and the value is smaller than α = 0.05, which means that H1 is accepted, H0 is rejected. Because Ha is accepted, the hypothesis which states that there are differences in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who learn to use hands-on activity with the lecture method is accepted. It can be concluded that there are differences in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who learn using the hands-on activity method with students who learn using the lecture method.

Abstract

AbstractUnderstanding of the social studies subject matter of various jobs in fourth grade elementary school students is very important, because it aims to see how students think when attending the lesson. The Advance Organizer learning model is able to assist students in understanding and implementing it in the practice process directly by doing a job that is to become a figure of a farmer who is planting aloe vera plants in pots. The method used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Scenarios and implementation show the findings in the field that students can learn more actively, and creatively by the teacher providing the latest information before entering into the subject matter of learning, through the media provided by the teacher. Teacher and student responses are very good. Difficulties experienced by students in completing pre-test questions, namely the lack of social studies kurtilas textbooks provided by the school, so there are some students who fight over the textbooks when learning begins, thus disturbing the concentration of other students who are learning. Based on this research, there is an influence of the ability to think in class IV students in understanding social studies learning materials of various jobs.Keywords: Understanding types – Job types, Advance Model Organizer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah pembelajaran online mata pelajaran matematika pada materi pengukuran satuan panjang di kelas II SD dalam masa pandemi covid-19 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PMR. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu 2 guru dan 24 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 4 siswa kemampuan tinggi, 4 siswa kemampuan sedang dan 4 siswa kemampuan rendah. Siswa tersebut berasal dari dua sekolah yang berbeda yang pertama dari SDN 04 Cibodas dan yang kedua dari SDIT Firdaus. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah RPP, kegiatan pembelajaran, bahan ajar berupa video, LKS, serta angket guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa skenario dan implementasi yang telah dilaksanakan guru sudah sesuai kegiatan pembelajaran; kesulitan-kesulitan dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi guru, salah satunya sulit menjelaskan materi yang akan disampaikan; kesulitan-kesulitan dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi siswa, yaitu kurang mengerti materi yang dijelaskan oleh guru; respon guru dan siswa terhadap pembelajaran online, banyak yang harus dipersiapkan sebelum pembelajaran online; RPP, LKS yang digunakan sudah baik dan sesuai dengan kurikukum yang berlaku serta bahan ajar yang digunakanpun cukup menarik bagi siswa dan bisa dipahami; dan upaya yang dilakukan guru agar pembelajaran online berjalan lebih yaitu dengan cara membuat bahan ajar yang menyenangkan bagi siswa.

Abstract

AbstractFractions are one of the most important materials in mathematics. If there is a problem understanding the concept of counting fractions, it is certain that our students experience misconceptions about fractions. Most of the learning processes used by teachers are conventional learning, namely lectures, question and answer and assignments. In this case, the learning process is dominated by the teacher. Therefore, the learning approach needs to be changed immediately. One of the current mathematics learning approaches that can be applied is Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). in RME students are encouraged or challenged to actively learn. This study aims to examine the scenario and implementation of learning operations for fraction counting for 6th grade elementary school students using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, the responses of teachers and elementary school students in grade VI to learning operations for fraction counting using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, and the difficulties difficulties experienced by grade VI elementary school students in completing fraction count operations tasks. The method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The descriptive method was chosen because the research carried out was related to ongoing events and with regard to current conditions. The results showed that the scenario and implementation of learning operations for fraction counting of grade VI elementary school students using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach included five steps / syntax that have become the hallmarks of learning, namely: using contextual problems, using models, using student contributions, interactivity, and the existence of linkages. The response of elementary school teachers and students of grade VI to learning operations to count fractions using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on the aspect of clarity. The teacher strongly agrees to use the RME approach in learning fraction arithmetic operations, because students are more active and creative when learning takes place. In the aspect of student curiosity, the teacher is very happy to use the media of real objects because according to them learning is more interesting and can imagine with just one explanation. Student responses to learning fraction count operations using the RME approach they think are positive because learning using the RME approach makes learning easier. The difficulties experienced by grade VI elementary school students in completing fraction count operations tasks based on student questionnaires, namely students do not understand the content and purpose of the questions provided and there are students who sometimes forget mathematical rules, formulas and simplification of mathematical sentences or an equation. Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), Fractions

Abstract

This research was carried out as a basis or preliminary study for further research by knowing the problem-solving ability in one of the MI in Cimahi .  The  research  methode  is  used  qualitative description. The subject in research that is the students of VI class of 32 students. Collecting technic of data is done test and non test. The test is competence the solving problem of math by four competence steps and non test is interviewed to 3 students  by  categhory  of  high  competence.  Medium  and  low.  The  result of the research is done the persentage solving problem of students math on bangun ruang item is one of MI in Cimahi as large as 39% could been category still low couse it. Because less comprehend on analizing question and less is given question not reguler to students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine learning mathematics understanding in grade III students using audio-visual media. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Subjects in this study were students of class III SD Negeri 259 Griba Bandung City with a total of 27 students consisting of 11 male students and 16 female students. The instruments used were a teacher and student observation sheets, questions about simple fractions, and teacher and student questionnaires. The results showed that there was an increase in the quality of learning after using audiovisual media. This is indicated by the average value of class mathematics understanding of 80.15 which belongs to the good category, the highest score of students is 94 and the lowest score is 62. Students' learning completeness shows that 93.0% of students get scores above the minimum completeness criteria and 7. 0% still score below the minimum completeness criteria value.
