Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Brain Gym in improving student learning outcomes in social studies lessons in class V. The research was conducted at SDN Kebaharan 1, Serang City 2019/2020. This research method uses a quasi-experimental Nonequivalent Control Grop Design. The population studied was grade V SD students. The sample was taken by using the purposive sampling technique. This research uses to test and non-test instruments. The tests are in the form of a pretest and posttest. Based on pretest data processing, it was obtained that the average value of learning outcomes in social studies subjects in the control class was 40.71% in the experimental class of 32.20%. Thus the learning outcomes of students before being given treatment were not different. After being given the treatment and given the posttest, based on data processing, the average value of student learning outcomes in the control class was 72.90% and the experimental class was 80.46%. After being treated the experimental class learning outcomes were better than the control class. Based on the research results it can be concluded that the application of the Brain Gym can improve the social studies learning outcomes of students in class V SD.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning achievement by applying the Jigsaw Model Method for Class II Semester II students of Public Elementary School 04 Pao, Tanete Rilau District, Baru Regency, 2016/2017 Academic Year. This research was conducted in Class IV SDN No. 04 Paodengan implementation stages include (1) Planning, (2) Implementation, (3) Observation and evaluation, (4) reflection. The results of the analysis of this study obtained an overview of the test results in cycle 1 (one) of learning by applying the jigsaw model not yet showing maximum results. This shows that the results of the first cycle test were 62.88%, while the second cycle test results showed a satisfactory result of 74.62%. Whereas the cycle has shown good learning outcomes with test results of 83.46%. These results indicate that applying the jigsaw model in thematic learning of grade II SDN Pao students can improve student achievement.

Abstract

Bahasa is one of the important materials taught in Indonesian schools for the important roles in our daily lives. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of learning in a remote island in Flores. The method used is qualitative descriptive with a naturalistic approach and case study. This research was conducted in several places in a remote area on the island of Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The result shows that Bahasa language learning in the remote area of Flores island is not maximal enough. Primary school teachers are still applying the conventional learning techniques and they do not want to be role models for the teaching-learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of the Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS) cooperative learning method can increase Learning Motivation in the guidance and counseling course of PGSD campus V Parepare students at UNM. The research approach used in this research is qualitative. Type of classroom action research. The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis which was analyzed descriptively. Data collection techniques using observation. This research consisted of two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. Based on the acquisition of the observation value in the first cycle, it was found that 65.69% of students' learning motivation in the guidance and counseling course was in a sufficient category. Meanwhile, the percentage of lecturers' success in teaching was 66.6% and it was in a sufficient category. In the second cycle student learning motivation in the guidance and counseling subject was 76.54% in the good category. In the aspect of the lecturer, data was obtained that the percentage of lecturers' success in teaching was 87.87% and was in a good category. So it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model type two stay two strays (TSTS) can increase student motivation to learn in the guidance and counseling course of PGSD Campus V Parepare UNM students.

Abstract

Research this aim to analyze and describe the effectiveness development instrument appraisal authentic attitude spiritual and attitude social-based strengthening education character (PPK) on student class IV primary school sub-district teak group ismoyo. Method research uses research and development (R & D) with model development according to Borg and Gall. Effectiveness instrument average thematic based strengthening education character (PPK) and be equipped with instrument appraisal authentic attitude spiritual and attitude social-based strengthening education character (PPK) proven effective. Result learn pretest class control and experiment, that is on class control 28,58 while on class experiment 30,14. After implemented test tries during the 6-time meeting, score average-average posttest on group control and experiment increased becomes 35,68 and 37,78. Result test t obtained score t count = 3,140 with level significance sig. (2-tailed) 0,002 < α = 0,05. Activity learns students' class control reach average 26% category enough well and class experiment reaches 54,6% average category well. Thereby, enhancement of the result learn students higher on group experiments. N Gain that obtained 0,27 that show numbers < 0,3 which means that very effective. The conclusion from the resulting research just now shows very effective.

Abstract

In the learning process in the classroom, students often find it difficult to understand the material being taught because the use of learning media is not optimal. This study aims to develop pop-up book learning media and to determine the feasibility of the developed pop-up book learning media. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with research and development procedures from Borg and Gall. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet for expert validation and student responses. Based on the data analysis, the material expert's assessment was 95.6% in the "Very Good" category; the linguist's assessment of 87.5% is categorized as "Very Good"; the media expert's assessment of 94.3% is categorized as "Very Good" and the assessment of the response of students in class IV SD Negeri Secang by 99% is categorized as "Very Good". So that the pop-up book meets the criteria to be used as a learning medium.

Abstract

This research aims to develop local wisdom based child poetry compilation books as complementary learning of Indonesian language lessons at primary schools. The applied method was research and development with these following stages: (1) finding out the potentials and problems, (2) collecting the data, (3) designing the product, (4) validating the design, (5) revising the design, (6) trying out the product, and (7) revising the product. The applied instruments were (1) the data of local wisdom based child poetry compilation book necessity for a higher level of primary schools, (2) the validation result data of the book prototype judged by the experts, and (3) the result of the product trial run. The planning stage of this child's poetry book was applied to support the Indonesian language course learning in primary schools. It consists of concepts and the child poetry book design. By referring the obtained data, based on the necessity questionnaire, 90% of the teachers stated that they needed the child’s poetry book. Meanwhile, the experts’ validation results deemed this book valid. In the trial run of the product, the last stage of this research showed that 85% of the teachers stated this child's poetry book had met the learning material necessity.

Abstract

The research objective was to describe the improvement in social studies learning outcomes of grade V SD Inpres 12/79 Macope students after using the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model. The approach used is a qualitative approach that is descriptive, this type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The focus of research is the social studies learning outcomes of grade V students and the Think Pair Share type of cooperative learning model. The research setting was class V SD Inpres 12/79 Macope. The data analysis technique is descriptive analysis which is carried out by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions, and verification. The results of data analysis indicate that learning using the Think Pair Share type of cooperative learning model can improve social studies results for fifth grade students of SD Inpres 12/79 Macope.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of mathematical literacy skills in the integrated thematic book on the theme of saving creatures in grade 6 used by the students. This research approach is descriptive qualitative and the type of research is literature. Primary data sources are integrated thematic books on the theme of saving living beings in grade 6 and secondary data sources are references to support students' mathematical literacy abilities. The data processing technique is done by editing, organizing, and drawing conclusions. The data analysis technique used is the content analysis which aims to provide systematic and printed written information and discussion. The results showed that the mathematics literacy skills of students in grade 6 SD were at level one, two, and three. Level three explains that students can carry out procedures clearly, including procedures that require sequential decisions.

Abstract

The background of this research was a lack of learning outcomes of human and environmental sub-themes. The purpose of this research was to increase the effectiveness of learning outcomes using animation-learning media (experimental class) and without media (control class) on the human and environmental sub-theme in fifth grade. The subjects of this research were 5th grade, totaling 74 students. The analysis technique used the analysis prerequisite test that included the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test with the t-test. The results of this research showed that there was a significant difference in the mean N-gain values of the learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class. The average score of N-gain in the experimental class was 74 with a mastery of learning outcomes 97, 29%, while the average score of N-gain in the control class was 64 with a mastery of learning outcomes 81, 08%. The results of the calculation statistical hypothesis test that showed t value (3, 25) was higher than t table (2, 000) with dk 72, and the significant formula α = 0, 05, from these results showed that Ho is rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that there was an influence of the use of animated learning media on the learning outcomes of the sub-theme of humans and the environment in fifth grade at elementary school.
