Abstract

Nowadays there are some problems caused from the cost overruns that impact to losses in the implementation of road construction project. The cost overruns is very depends on several factors, both internal and external factors of the project. Thus, a high level of expertise, knowledge, and experience is needed to estimate costs from project costs to cash flow management during the implementation phase. This is done so that, in the future there will be no cost overrun that can disserve the contractors. The data that obtained from questionnaires are grouped and arranged based on thing that will be examined, to simplify and accelerate the research process. Furthermore, the data that has been grouped is processed using the SPSS program to test its feasibility as seen from the validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and multiple linear regression test. The results of the analysis show that the dominant factors of cost overruns on road construction projects in Solo for the fiscal year 2017-2018 is the implementation time factor (X8).

Abstract

Surakarta has several locations prone to congestion due to at grade highway-railway crossing, one of which is in the Manahan area. The solution made by the government to overcome this problem was to build the Fly Over. Nevertheless, this condition affects the surrounding traffic condition, such as on Slamet Riyadi Street. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the traffic, and the existing performance of the road, then to compare it with the previous road performance. The primary data used are the existing condition of geometric, side frictions, volume and travel time which is then analyzed using IHCM 1997. The results show that ??during morning peak hour is obtained a volume of 1827.7 pcu per hour with the averages speed is 38.25 km per hour. The road performance expressed by the degree of saturation is obtained at 0.38. This value is smaller than before the change. This shows that the performance after the Fly Over is better than before. Nevertheless, both performances are still categorized in good condition.

Abstract

In essence, economic development is a series of businesses and policies aimed at improving the standard of living of the community, expanding employment, equalizing the distribution of people’s income, increasing regional economic relations and through shifting economic activities from the primary sector to the secondary and tertiary sectors. In other words, the direction of economic development is to ensure that people's income rises and accompanied by the best level of equity possible. In the perspective of measuring the quality of economic growth, in addition to looking at the achievements of economic and social indicators in the discussion above, a measure of the quality of economic growth can be seen from the Inclusive Growth Index (IGI). IGI of Regency/City in Central Java province shows there are 6 Regencies/Cities that are in the very satisfactory category, 25 Regencies/Cities that are in the satisfactory category and there are 4 Regencies in the unsatisfactory category.

Abstract

Poverty is something that is often a measure of the success of a regional head's leadership. It is also the first goal of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) to be alleviated. The right policy is very important to be made for the achievement of sustainable development goals. Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) modeling is important to be used to develop models in each district / city as a basis for policy makers. The variables used in this study are the number of poor people, Human Development Index (HDI), unemployment rate (TPT), and regency/municipality minimum wage (UMK). The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the number of poor people in each regency/municipality in Central Java. GWR modeling is more effective in describing the number of poor people in regencies/municipalities in Central Java in 2018. This is indicated by the increase in the value of R2 and the decrease in the value of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE).

Abstract

Government efforts to eliminate gender inequality have not yet yielded sweet results. The large number of female professional staff in Sragen Regency apparently was not followed by the high contribution of women's income. Professionals who should have high incomes have not been able to contribute high incomes. This condition may be due to the income gap between men and women. The writing of this study aims to see whether there are still income gaps between men and women. As well as seeing differences in employment characteristics between men and women found in Sragen Regency. This study was written using data from August 2018 Sakernas in Sragen Regency which was analyzed descriptively using graphical visualization. It turns out that there are still visible income gaps between men and women both with the status of entrepreneurs and workers. Besides income, the difference between men and women is also seen in the length of working hours, education level and employment status. Men have longer working hours with more vocational secondary education and more entrepreneurship status. Whereas women work shorter hours with more low education levels and more family/unpaid employee status.

Abstract

Indonesia has entered a third trend of three mega-demographics trends, namely the transition of migration to mobility. Most of the population do mobility due to work factors. Commuting is a type of non-permanent mobility where a person works in a different place from his residence. They leave the residence in the morning and returns in the afternoon or evening every day or back to residence no longer than 24 hours. Many problems will arise when the rate of mobility is high. Jabodetabek certainly have a special pattern in the mobility of its workers or maybe the year change can also change the mobility patterns in Jabodetabek. Therefore, this study will try to analyze and estimate the influence of the social and demographic characteristics of workers in the Jakarta metropolitan area on their decision to commute or not. If more commuter workers are less educated and do not have training certificates, this will have an impact on the burden of the Jabodetabek Metropolitan area. This study uses Sakernas 2018 data, using the Binary Logistic Regression model. The results of this study are the choose of mobility depend on individual characteristics such as education, sex, age, marital status, income, and training/courses.

Abstract

Today to meet economic needs must obtain proper and appropriate employment. Every business owner, be it from large companies to small entrepreneurs, must have certain criteria in recruiting their workforce. In Indonesia, vocational schools are one solution for individuals to be able to quickly get a job after graduating from their education. The fact is that vocational schools in Indonesia rank first with the largest unemployment rate (TPT) compared to other levels of education. Not only in Indonesia, vocational school graduates also have the largest TPT in West Java Province and Garut Regency. The aim of this research is to find out what factors influence unemployment of vocational school graduates in the Province of West Java and Garut Regency. The research uses two kinds of analysis, namely descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the quantitative analysis used here is binary logistic regression analysis. The dependent variable of the study is the employment status of vocational school graduates, namely unemployment or work, while the independent variables are age, gender, status in the household, marital status, area classification, and classification of majors.
