Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of the development of electronic student worksheet on kingdom plantae material. The subjects in this study were 3 biology teachers and 29 students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo. This type of research is descriptive. Data collection techniques used are interviews and questionnaires. The results of the study showed that students received material using lecture, question and answer, demonstration methods and were assisted by learning media, there was already a presentation of the student worksheet given but only on certain material. Student worksheet is impressed as a tool for writing and copying, and looks less attractive. In addition, the use of gadgets and laptops during learning is still not optimal. Students experience difficulties in understanding the differences in each division and class in kingdom plantae. Teachers and students are interested in using electronic student worksheet. Therefore, the solution that can be done is to develop an electronic student worksheet on kingdom plantae material.

Abstract

Education has entered a new era following the Covid-19 pandemic. The government has implemented a new curriculum, called the "Merdeka Curriculum" to respond to the challenges posed by the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and the Society 5.0 era. To face the challenges of the Society 5.0 era, critical thinking skills are essential. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is a learning approach that emphasizes inter-disciplinary practices and practical activities in each subject area. This article aims to present the results of a literature review on the critical thinking skills of students in science education using the Merdeka Curriculum and integrated STEM education. The results of the literature review indicate that every indicator of critical thinking skills falls into the high category with an average score of 74.52. This shows that critical thinking skills in science education integrated with STEM education are crucial for improving students' critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to produce modules on tissue culture material, which are valid. This research has three stages; analysis, design, and development. The instruments used were validation sheets and response questionnaires. The sampling technique is random. Retrieval of data using validation sheets and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the scale method with a Likert modification. The validation results get an average of 87% (very valid). This module was well received by students in three schools with an average of 79.75% (good). Thus, the average percentage of all validators is 87.50% (very valid), and it is stated that the learning media developed are very valid.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of teachers and students in develop vertebrate e-atlas as biology learning media on animalia material. Based on the first step of the ADDIE development model, analysis, the requirements analysis is conducted. The study was done to find out the problems regarding the learning media used and what media are needed. 24 students from the class X IPA 3 served as the study's subjectsand 1 biology teacher at SMA Panca Marga 1 Lamongan. Guidelines for interviews and questionnaires served as the research instruments. The data analysis method employed descriptive analysis of the interview findings and sought the mean of the questionnaire responses, which were then qualitatively characterized. The results of the needs analysis obtained from interviews with biology teachers stated that it is very necessary to develop a vertebrate e-atlas to provide a variety of existing learning media. The results of the analysis of student needs showed that as many as 92.8% of students found it easier to absorb subject matter using instructional media and as many as 85.7% of students were interested in developing e-atlas vertebrate learning media as biology learning media in animalia material. It may be inferred from the research that there is a need to develop vertebrate e-atlas media in learning biology, especially in animalia material.

Abstract

There are many problems were found in learning process of biology that effect learning outcomes become low, for instance, instructional model which are not variated. Everyone is teacher here is a type of cooperative model, it can increase students motivation and also learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of pretest in everyone is teacher here model. This is an experiment with one group pretest-postest design. The study population was all second-year students at MTsN 5 Tanah Datar, and were taught by the same teacher. We used purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed with t-test. The results shows postest have average point 87,5 is higher than pretest (average point 66,8). It can concluded that the dependent variable has positive effect on learning outcomes in biology.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Problem-based Learning (PBL) through blended on students' collaborative abilities in excretion system. This research was conducted at one of High School in Riau, 2021/2022 academic year. This research type is quasi-experiment using questionnaires and observation sheets. The parameters used are students' collaborative abilities, with indicators: working productively, respecting opinions, compromise, and responsibility. Result of collaborative ability in the control class was 48.33 (not good), and in the experimental class it was 82.62 (good). Highest indicator of collaborative ability is responsibility, and the lowest score is compromising. The conclusion is PBL through blended has an effect on students' collaborative abilities.
