Abstract

Penggunaan media dalam suatu proses pembelajaran merupakan sesuatu yang mutlak, terutama bagi anak usia dini. Media yang menarik akan memotivasi anak semakin terlibat aktif dan antusias dalam belajar. Bahasa Inggris sebagai salah satu bahasa internasional akan lebih mudah diserap jika dikenalkan sejak usia dini. Peranan media sangat penting sekali dalam mengenalkan bahasa Inggris pada anak usia dini. Salah satu media yang cocok dipakai adalah media berbasis IT. Media ini melibatkan tampilan animasi dan suara yang menarik sehingga membuat kegiatan belajar Bahasa Inggris dapat terasa lebih menyenangkan dan tidak membosankan bagi anak usia dini. Penggunaan media ini juga bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan tentang kosakata Bahasa Inggris yang dapat lebih mudah diterima dan dicerna oleh anak. Anak-anak dapat belajar bagaimana mengucapkan kosakata dengan benar.

Abstract

Learning Centra adalah pusat aktifitas pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan aspek perkembangan physik, sosial, emosional, dan intelektual. Strategi pembelajaran kontekstual learning (CTL) merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat mengakomodasi kebutuhan dan perkembangan anak. Strategi pembelajaran kontekstual apabila diterapkan di Taman Kanak –kanak akan memberikan dampak tidak hanya dalam perkembangan kognitif yang lebih bermakna akan tetapi memberikan dampak penggiring seperti aktifitas fisik maupun mental anak. Penerapan model strategi CTL akan lebih baik bila diterapkan di pendekatan centra.

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain information about the performance of teachers and development of teachers by principals and relationship development of teachers by principals with teacher’s performance. The .hypothesis proposed in this study is “ there is significant relationship between the development of teacher by the principal and teacher’s performance of Public Senior Hight School in Bukittinggi City”. The population is 271 teachers and sample 152 were taken with Proporstional Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data collected by questionnaire that have tested the validity and reliability. Data analysis used Produch Moment correlation techniques with SPSS version 12.0 in 2007. The results showed that: (a) Performance of teacher is good (83.08% of the ideal score), (b) Development of teachers by principals is quite well (79.33% of the ideal score), (c) there is no significant relationship between teacher’s performance and development of teacher by principals at SMAN Bukittinggi.

Abstract

This article was written to know about applied gender of education in the kindergarden of Mutiara Ananda in Tabing Padang. The type of this research is qualitative research of descriptive, the informants this research is head master, teacher and students, with the total from teacher and head master is six people and sixty of students for four classroom. Data were collected by using observation methods, interview method and documentation method. Next, the analyze of data use desciption in narration. The findings of the study showed that kindergarden of Mutiara Ananda have an application gender of education.

Abstract

There is now a growing tendency among Indonesian people to introduce English to children starting from the early age, through either formal or informal education. This can be seen from the mushrooming of bilingual and international schools where English is used as the language of instruction as well as the increasing number of English courses aimed especially for children. Sometimes people hold a misconception regarding teaching English for young learners, in which they believe that the earlier the kids learn a foreign language, the better it will be. As a matter of fact, this assumption is not completely true. Only when handled with care will the teaching of foreign language to young learners succeed as expected? Otherwise, this will not gain a significant effect on children’s language development. This paper will elaborate some principles on how young learners learn a foreign language, which should be the foundation of the way the teaching English to young learners is conducted. Some theories on how children learn will be drawn on, followed by a discussion on the pedagogical implications. This paper is expected to give insights to English teachers in general and teachers of English for young learners in particular, about the importance of taking into account the aspects related to the way young learners learn in designing their teaching learning process.

Abstract

The Government of West Sumatera is currently very concerned with early childhood education, it is proved by the program of the ellipse of the Early Childhood Education. However, the development of early childhood education providers cause new problems, namely the minimal resource teacher mastery of the skills of teaching materials are sourced from early childhood education standards. As a solution to these problems was based training curriculum development Education Minister Decree No.58 of 2009. Results demonstrate community service with the training of early childhood education standards provide insight to teachers in preparing weekly activity plans and syllabus plan daily activities, and assessment worksheets children.

Abstract

Aspects of early childhood development can be stimulated to provide interesting learning activities and method of multi-media . The research was conducted in FY Pertiwi Limaumanis Padang VI seeks to determine level of reading development as one part of the learning aspects of language development through multi-media computer . Learning to read children stimulated with software compact disc reading program . Use research methods class room with two action research cycles, each cycle of three meetings . Results of this study show the effectiveness of the development of children with significant reading shown by the results of data analysis increase child reading a good attitude and good once 92.5 % . Increase the child read well and good 87.5 % . This generally means that the expansion of learning to read children have reached a minimum completeness criteria ( MOH). Therefore this assessment cycle II halted until 4 meeting , because minimal consistency in the development of learning to read children reached.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV di SDN 04 Birugo Kota Bukittinggi. Kajian penelitian ini dianggap relevan dalam rangka meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa dalam menerima pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan lembaran latihan terbimbing disertai dengan lembar observasi selama kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil pengisian lembar observasi, hasil tes siswa, dan catatan harian peneliti kemudian dianalisis dan dijadikan sebagai bahan perencanaan tindakan pada siklus selanjutnya. Data tersebut diolah dengan menggunakan formula presentase guna penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan Penelitian Tindakan kelas (PTK) setelah dianalisa menunjukan bahwa berdasarkan observasi awal pada SDN 04 Birugo Kota Bukittinggi memperoleh nilai rata-rata 59%. Setelah dilaksanakan siklus pertama diperoleh nilai rata-rata 65% dan hasil pelaksanaan siklus kedua diperoleh nilai rata-rata 74%. Sedangkan pelaksanaan siklus ketiga diperoleh nilai rata-rata 84%. Implikasi hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) melalui penggunaan lembaran latihan terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 04 Birugo Kota Bukittinggi. Dengan demikian hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi kepala sekolah dan guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Kota Bukittinggi

Abstract

This research is divided in three cycles, aiming to make learning outcomes students participating in college increased to more optimally. Based on the results of a pretest and posttest, describe the utilization of group dynamics in PPBK studies can improve the quality of student learning outcomes. While the value of acquired skills related to student devised of Rencana Pelaksanaan Layanan Bimbingan Konseling (RPLBK) in accordance with the specific KIPD and showing the skills of learning is increased.This research result suggest: that the activities of the utilization of group dynamics can be done in a variety of learning to help students hold the material and do exercise either in an individual or classical group; develop the habit of learning groups that utilize the dynamics that develop in it can make students more active, vibrant and creative learning; other lecturers may try to carry out the study group which utilizes the dynamics that develop within the group to improve the quality of studies at college.

Abstract

Kualitas pembelajaran di Indonesia diindikasikan belum memenuhi kualitas yang diharapkan. Hal ini, berdampak pada prestasi belajar siswa yang belum menggembirakan terutama dibandingkan prestas belajar siswa di negara lainnya. Supervisi pendidikan memegang peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran guru yang pada akhirnya menghasilkan prestasi belajar siswa yang tinggi. Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran perlu dilakukan secara berkesinambungan seiring perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, serta sosial ekonomi dan budaya masyarakat. Pendekatan peningkatan keprofesionalan guru tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan teknik supervisi, menumbuhkan budaya organisasi pembelajar, dan kegiatan pelatihan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan tersebut, dapat dilakukan peningkatan kinerja lembaga melalui peningkatan keprofesionalan guru secara berkelanjutan baik yang dilakukan secara perorangan maupun kelompok
