Abstract

This research aims to describe students' mathematical representation abilities in terms of mathematical resilience. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. Data collection techniques consisted of distributing mathematical resilience questionnaires, mathematical representation ability tests, and interviews. The subjects were selected from 3 students in class VII-G of SMPN 17 Tasikmalaya based on the results of a questionnaire that met one of the categories of high, medium, low and the results of the mathematical representation ability test that met the most indicators of mathematical representation ability without looking at whether the answer was right or wrong. . The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Subjects with high mathematical resilience (S-27) can fulfill six indicators of mathematical representation ability with systematic, detailed answers and correct conclusions. Subjects with moderate mathematical resilience (S-13) can fulfill five indicators of mathematical representation ability but there are errors in calculating and writing units. Subjects with low mathematical resilience (S-16) can meet four indicators of mathematical representation ability with incorrect final answers and errors in understanding algebraic addition.Keywords: Mathematical Representation Ability, Mathematical Resilience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang mendukung pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan media interaktif Doratoon di kelas X SMA Al-Masyhur Kota Pasuruan. Subyek penelitian terdiri dari 11 peserta didik kelas X tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif yang mengikuti pendekatan model Miles and Huberman. Temuan dari penelitian ini mencakup beberapa hal: (1) kompleksitas matematika sebagai subjek yang seringkali sulit dipahami karena sifatnya yang abstrak, (2) kebutuhan peserta didik akan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara khusus agar lebih menarik dan inovatif dalam konteks pembelajaran matematika, dan (3) penggunaan media interaktif berbasis Doratoon sebagai solusi yang potensial untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika di kelas X MA Al-Masyhur Kota Pasuruan. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan media interaktif berbasis Doratoon sangat diperlukan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi matematika selama proses pembelajaran di kelas

Abstract

This research aims to increase students’ learning outcomes through the application of a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model and Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approaches to statistics. The method used in this research is Classroom Artion Research. The research was carried out during two learning cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data research was obtained through test and observation. The subjects were 31 students from grade VII of SMPN 9 Tasikmalaya for the 2023/2024 academic year. The result of this research conclude that: (1) the application of PjBL and CRT can increase students’ learning outcomes to statistics; (2) the average learning outcomes in the pre-cycle were 26,45 and increased in cycle I and cycle II respectively, by 70,02 and 84,16; (3) the increase in classical complitness from pre-cycle to cycle I reached 51,61% and in cycle II, classical complitness increased to 87,10%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik melalui penerapan project based learning (PjBL) dan pendekatan culturally responsive teaching (CRT) pada materi statistika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama dua siklus pembelajaran yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui hasil tes dan observasi. Subjek berjumlah 31  peserta didik yang berasal dari kelas VII SMPN 9 Tasikmalaya tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model PjBL dan pendekatan CRT dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi statistika; (2) rata-rata hasil belajar pada pra siklus sebesar 26,45 dan meningkat pada siklus I hingga siklus II masing-masing sebesar 70,02 dan 84,16; (3) peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal dari pra siklus ke siklus I mencapai 51,61% dan pada siklus II ketuntasan klasikal meningkat menjadi 87,10%.

Abstract

This research aims to test the feasibility of assisted learning media ISpring suite 11 on fractional number operations material to practice skills mathematical representation. The research method uses Research Development (RD) with the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, distribution of questionnaires and mathematical representation ability test questions. Instruments that used are interview grid sheets, questionnaires for assessing feasibility and student responses as well as ability test questions to assess effectiveness of use instructional Media. The data sources for this research are two media experts and two experts material to assess in terms of technical quality, as well as the quality of the content and objectives and participants class VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Tasikmalaya to find out students' responses as well effectiveness of the use of learning media. The results of this research are in the form of media applications learning that can be used on Android smartphones with the name HiFraction. The feasibility of this learning media is assessed based on validity assessments, practicality and effectiveness. This learning media is declared very suitable by experts media and material experts as well as students responded very well to use of this learning media

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the classical completeness of students' problem solving ability by using Missouri Mathematics Project learning model using Think Talk Write strategy assisted by LKPD and direct learning model, and to analyze the effectiveness of Missouri Mathematics Project learning model using Think Talk Write strategy assisted by LKPD compared to direct learning model on students' problem solving ability.    This research was a quantitative research with quasi experimental research design in the form of nonequivalent post-test only control group design. The sampling technique in this study was cluster random sampling. The research instruments were interview guidelines, observation sheets, problem solving ability tests, and validation sheets. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observations, problem solving ability tests, validation questionnaires, and documentation. The experimental class proportion test results with  and  and the control class with  and . This showed that  so that  was accepted, meant that students who were taught using the Missouri Mathematics Project model using the Think Talk Write strategy assisted by LKPD and the direct learning model achieved classical completeness. Then, the results of the independent sample t-test showed that  and , then  so that  was rejected, meant that the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model using the Think Talk Write strategy assisted by LKPD was more effective than the direct learning model on students' problem solving skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh fenomena yang ada di lapangan tentang bagaimana proses pembelajaran berlangsung, masih terdapat sekolah sekolah yang tetap menerapkan dan menggunakan model dan metode belajar konvensional yang dimana metode ini kurang efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pengunaan model belajar inqiury terbimbing berbantuan media line board terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika materi diagram kelas 4, metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimental dan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dan sample menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dengan subjek penelitian seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN Panglayungan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi dan tes. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa model inquiry terbimbing yang berbantuan media line board memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar yang lebih baik pada sampel. Penelitian ini diharapkan bisa bermanfaat bagi semua pembaca dan diharap dapat menjadi sumber yang relevan.

Abstract

Overcoming cognitive load is very necessary so that the learning material delivered by teachers can be constructed by students, so that students gain meaningful knowledge and experience. Thus, learning mathematics using a Realistic Mathematics Education approach based on the local wisdom of the Dayak Tribe is important to apply to overcome the cognitive load of students in Central Kalimantan. The objectives of this research are 1) To find out whether e-book buying and selling material using a Realistic Mathematics Education approach based on local Dayak wisdom can meet the criteria for being suitable for use; 2) To find out whether e-book buying and selling material using a Realistic Mathematics Education approach based on local Dayak wisdom can overcome the cognitive load of students in Central Kalimantan. This research uses the Research and Development (RnD) method with a 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan. The development steps are definition, design, development and dissemination. The data collection technique is a Likert Scale to determine whether the product being developed meets feasibility. The research results show that 1) e-book buying and selling material using a Realistic Mathematics Education approach based on local Dayak wisdom meets the appropriate criteria; 2) e-book buying and selling material with a Realistic Mathematics Education approach based on local Dayak wisdom can overcome the cognitive load of students in Central Kalimantan

Abstract

This study aims to develop a math concept learning simulator with the help of a sketchpad geometer, so that the products resulting from this research can be utilized by teachers and students. Products developed using the ADDIE model development method and data collection techniques through filling out questionnaires and sheet validation. Sources of data that have been taken in this study are teacher responses, student responses, assessments from material experts and the media on the quality of the teaching simulator for teaching mathematical concepts with the help of the resulting sketchpad geometer. Based on the results of data collection and analysis that has been carried out, the results obtained are 1) development of a simulator media for learning mathematical concepts assisted by a sketchpad geometer using the ADDIE method (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation), 2) a media simulator for learning mathematical concepts assisted by a sketchpad geometer is very feasible for use in the mathematics learning process, 3) the teacher's response to the use of the simulator media for teaching mathematical concepts assisted by positive geometric sketches, 4) the interest of students in the learning process using the simulator media for learning mathematical concepts assisted by geometric sketches is very high.
