Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness of mathematics learning with the problem based learning and the conventional learning in junior high School (SMP) to improve the skills of mathematical literacy. The research uses the Quasi experiment method, with the design of the non-equivalent control group Pretest-Posttest. This study used two groups, one group as an experimental group that received the treatment of problem-based learning and one other group as a control group that received conventional learning treatment. The subject of this study was 64 students in two classes VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Magelang. The instrument used is a description test to measure the ability of students ' mathematical literacy. A large calculation of mathematical literacy skills is improved using the normalized gain equation g. The results showed that mathematics learning using problem-based learning can improve students' mathematical literacy skills. In addition, the research also concluded that there were no significant differences in the enhancement of the mathematical literacy skills of good students using both problem based learning and conventional learning. In experimental groups and control groups there is an increase in medium.Keywords: problem based learning; mathematical literacy

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk penelitian yang berupa modul perkuliahan Aljabar Linear yang digunakan ditingkat Universitas yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Modul ini dirancang dan dikembangkan berdasarkan kebutuhan peserta didik. Setelah dikembangkan modul ini divalidasi oleh dua pakar yang menilai aspek kelayakan materi/isi, kelayakan penyajian, dan kelayakan bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan valid ditunjukkan dengan hasil penilaian validasi untuk aspek materi/isi sebesar 51 dari skor maksimal 60, validasi aspek penyajian diperoleh skor 36 dari skor maksimal 40, dan aspek kebahasaan diperoleh skor 13,5 dari skor maksimal 15. Modul yang dikembangkan praktis ditunjukkan dengan hasil penilaian mahasiswa terhadap modul dengan persentase sebesar 38,46% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan 61,54% dengan kriteria baik. Modul yang dikembangkan efektif ditunjukkan dengan hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan rata-rata klasikal 84,23 dan persentase mahasiswa yang nilainya di atas KKM (≥75) adalah 84,62%. ABSTRACTThe research aims to develop a research product that is a Linear Algebra lecture module used at the University level that up to the valid criteria, practical, and effective. The development research used the ADDIE development model. The module was designed and developed based on the students need. The module was validated by two experts who assessed the feasibility of the material / content, the feasibility of presentation, and the feasibility of language after it was developed. The results showed that the developed module was valid, indicated by the results of the validation assessment for the material / content aspect of 51 from a maximum score of 60, the validation of the presentation aspect obtained a score of 36 from a maximum score of 40, and the linguistic aspect obtained a score of 13.5 from a maximum score of 15. The practical developed module was indicated by the results of the student's assessment of the module with a percentage of 38.46% with very good criteria and 61.54% with good criteria. The effective developed module was showed by student learning outcomes with a classical average of 84.23 and the percentage of students whose grades are above the KKM (≥75) is 84.62%.

Abstract

Di dalam artikel ini akan dibahas mengenai formulasi model penjadwalan perawat multiobjektif di mana preferensi shift perawat sebagai representasi kepuasan pekerjaan dipertimbangkan dalam model ini. Selanjutnya, dibahas mengenai reformulasi model penjadwalan perawat ke dalam bentuk single objective dengan pendekatan goal programming yang diterapkan pada penjadwalan perawat ICU di RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri. Model yang dibuat didasarkan pada peraturan yang berlaku di rumah sakit dan preferensi perawat. Tujuan yang dipertimbangkan dalam model ini adalah memaksimumkan kepuasan perawat dalam hal pemilihan shift kerja dan hari libur, meminimumkan penugasan kepala perawat ke dalam shift selain shift pagi, serta meminimumkan pola hari kerja di antara hari libur dan hari libur di antara hari kerja. Lebih lanjut, model ini akan diimplementasikan dengan bantuan software LINGO untuk memperoleh penjadwalan yang diharapkan dan memenuhi keinginan semua pihak yang terkait. Hasil komputasi dari model ini menunjukkan bahwa semua kendala dari model penjadwalan perawat dengan mempertimbangkan preferensi perawat dapat dipenuhi. Model penjadwalan ini bersifat fleksibel, yakni terdapat beberapa variabel dengan nilai yang dapat diubah sesuai dengan kebijakan dari rumah sakit.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the distance learning process of deaf students during the pandemic. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were mathematics teachers, deaf students, and stakeholders. The research was carried out at the SLBN Kota Magelang and SLB-B YPPALB Magelang . Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by questionnaires, interviews, and document studies. The main instrument in this study was the researcher, while the auxiliary instruments were questionnaires and interview guidelines. The validity used in this research is source triangulation. The results showed that the mathematics distance learning process for deaf students could be implemented in various ways and could be adapted to school conditions and student conditions. Distance learning can be done with the help of media in hand-out modules taken at school before the mathematics learning schedule is implemented. In addition, the distance learning process on the mathematics topic of deaf students can also be carried out through learning videos with additional translated texts. Deaf students can simultaneously watch videos and read explanations from math teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan merujuk pada model pengembangan 4D dari Thiagarajan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) berbasis Problem Based Learning pada mata kuliah Kalkulus Integral dan mengetahui kelayakan LKM tersebut bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Tidar. Kelayakan lembar kerja mahasiswa ditinjau dari beberapa aspek melalui pengujian lembar kerja mahasiswa oleh validator, serta penggunanya, yaitu mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan sebagai subjek uji coba adalah mahasiswa semester II Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Tidar tahun akademik 2019/2020. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, angket analisis kebutuhan, dan angket validasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan penentuan penskoran pada masing-masing aspek kelayakan LKM. Dari hasil penelitian pengembangan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa berbasis Problem Based Learning pada mata kuliah Kalkulus Integral ini diperoleh hasil penilaian tingkat kelayakan LKM melalui pengujian kepada validator sebesar 91,07% dengan kategori sangat layak dan uji coba terhadap respon mahasiswa sebagai pengguna memperoleh nilai 82,58% dengan kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify (1) effectiveness between the RME learning model and the direct learning on the ability to understand mathematical concepts, (2) the effect of different personality types on the ability to understand mathematical concepts (3) the interaction between learning models and personality types. to the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The design of this study used a quasi-experimental, namely the nonequivalent posttest-only control group. The population in study were all students of class VII SMP N 1 Magelang totaling 250 students. Sampling in study used the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire and post-test. The data analysis technique in this study used a two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells, with the prerequisites of the analysis that normality was by the Liliefors test and homogeneity was by the Barlett test. Based on hypothesis testing, the results obtained are that (1) RME learning model is more efective than direct learning in the ability to understand mathematical concepts, (2) there is no effect of different personality types on the ability to understand mathematical concepts, (3) there is an interaction between the learning model and personality type. on the ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model assisted by Student Worksheets (LKS) to improve students' mathematical connection skills on the flat side of cubes and block material. The research design of this present study is a quasi-experimental design with the research population from class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Bandongan. The samples in this study were students of class VIII B as the experimental class and VIII C as the control class. The tests used in this study were the One sample t-test and the N-Gain test to see the extent of the increase in the pre-test and post-test scores. The results of the One sample t-test showed that the average of the experimental class > minimum completeness criteria, while in the control class < minimum completeness criteria. The N-Gain test revealed that the average N-Gain value of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The results showed that the problem-based learning model assisted by Student Worksheets (LKS) was effective in improving students' mathematical connection skills in the material for building flat sides of cubes and blocks at SMP Negeri 1 Bandongan.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematis merupakan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh setiap individu yang meliputi kemampuan komunikasi, penalaran, koneksi, representasi, dan memecahkan masalah yang berhubungan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMP, (2) Mengidentifikasi kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar auditori, visual, dan kinestetik menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan model pembelajaran langsung (3) mengetahu apakah terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimen yaitu nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Magelang yang berjumlah 240 siswa. sedangkan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling dimana diperoleh kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen berupa soal tes dan angket gaya belajar. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis varians dua jalan dengan sel tak sama, dengan uji prasyat yaitu normalitas yang diuji dengan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas yang diuji dengan uji Barlett.Berdasarkan hasil penghitungan analisis data diambil kesimpulan (1) terdapat model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis, (2) Tidak ada pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis,

Abstract

Students with disabilities face a wide range of obstacles to their academic and personal growth. Because of this, they require educational services tailored to the specific requirements of each student. Even with these disadvantages, deaf pupils must study mathematics. Therefore, there is a need for mathematical learning materials that take into account the specific characteristics and requirements of deaf children. This investigation is a case study of qualitative research. Deaf pupils are the focus of this study. Observation, questionnaires, and in-person interviews were employed to compile the data. In this study, we employ a validity technique known as "source triangulation." The research found that because deaf children rely so heavily on visual cues for knowledge acquisition, tactile learning materials are essential for them to succeed in mathematics. Knowledge can also be more effectively transmitted through the use of learning material that encourages dialogue between instructors and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the flashcard-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model on the mathematical problem solving ability. The research design used in this study is quasi experimental design. The research method used is quantitative research. The population in this study was the entire class VIII which amounted to 120 students, then for the sample two classes were taken, namely class VIII A as an experimental class and class VIII B as a control class. The sample in this study was taken by cluster random sampling technique. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, tests, validation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the average difference in significance test between the two groups with test prerequisites, namely normality tested using the Liliefors test and homogeneity tested using the Bartlett test. Based on the results of analysis and data processing using the t-test, it was obtained that the Sig. (2-tailed) value < 0.05 which means that the  rejected and  with a significant level of 5%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the flashcard-assisted Problem Based Learning learning model on the mathematical problem solving ability of grade VIII. This can be a reference that the flashcard-assisted Problem Based Learning model can be used as a relevant learning model to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills
