Abstract

The transformation of information and communication technology is believed to not only change the context and pattern of social networks but also the perspective in addressing a social problem. The facilitation of the internet medium and cellular technology, for example, has changed the paradigm of nationalism, especially through audiovisual content. Through the mixed method as a research method, namely the combination of quantitative methods (a survey technique for the younger generation with an age range of 18-22 years) and qualitative methods (through a digital ethnographic approach obtained from the “drone emprit academy”), this study shows that the use of social media by the younger generation shows positive trends in maintaining the spirit of nationalism such as uploading topics with the theme of nationalism, Pancasila, and unity. It means that the more content with nationalism nuances that is shared through social media, the greater the awareness and encouragement to maintain the spirit of nationalism.

Abstract

Street children are a social phenomenon that is often found in various areas in the city of Bandung. Typically children enjoy playing, but they spend most of their time on the streets to earn money, which should have been the duty and obligation of their parents. The qualitative research method describes the problem by collecting data directly through interviews and observation. The purpose of this study is to find out the background and reality of life that street children go through and to find out about the factors that cause them to take to the streets to earn money. The results obtained in the field show that the presence of street children is driven by the exploitation of their children by parents. In reality, parents use their children to make money on the streets of Pasir Koja, either by begging or singing. Basically, the age of these children is still very young, this is what parents take advantage of, because young children will more easily get people's attention to give them money.

Abstract

Sufism activities include not only rituals but also pseudo-medical treatment. This can be seen from the daily life of the Qadiriyyah and Naqsabandiyah (TQN) congregation at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School, Tasikmalaya, West Java. Known as a center for Islamic learning, this pesantren also offers spiritual healing, namely inabah to cure drug victims. This study aims to explore this Sufi inabah . Based on a qualitative ethnographic study at this site, the study analyzes explicitly a method of treatment called inabah. This is a unique technique used by Sufis to cure drug patients. This study shows that the Sufis provide spiritual and technical guidance in the treatment process to increase the awareness of drug victims through quasi-medical and spiritual processes. In the view of the Sufis, drugs can be cured by growing spiritual activities, such as remembrance and prayer. More than that, this method also requires the practice of realized repentance, fasting, bathing, and other related processes prescribed by Sufi masters. The process of fulfilling spiritual and physical requirements due to illness or disease is seen as the result of spiritual and physical transgression.

Abstract

Sport is universal, loved by many people in almost all countries worldwide. As a sport that can be played by many people from all walks of life, football has the potential to be a sport capable of bringing about a spirit of unity and solidarity in a society. However, football can sometimes spark conflict and violence. Excessive football enthusiasm can lead football fans and supporters to become anarchistic and assault individuals who support other teams. This can result in material damages, injuries, and even the loss of life. This essay will examine football fanaticism and football fan violence. Using the ABC conflict triangle theory introduced by Johan Galtung, researchers will analyze how attitudes, behaviors, and contradictions that fans and supporters of football clubs own can trigger football fanaticism and violence. The researchers concluded that these three factors played a role in the outbreak of violence, coupled with other factors such as educational level and socio-economic conditions. The researcher believes that the government, through football organizations, can play a role in suppressing football fanaticism and preventing violence from occurring before, during and after football matches are held. As the core and main part of football, fans and supporters of football clubs must be self-aware and try to be more rational, calm, and not easily provoked to make football a sport that truly unites and is full of solidarity.

Abstract

Village is the smallest territorial space in Indonesia with a complex socio-economic problem. For this reason, the village SDGs was born as a micro-based global development agenda expected to realize village development efficiently. This program has the main objective of “No One Left Behind” with 18 main objectives that cover all levels of society. Among the best ideas in the 18 goals, the conclusion is still focused on sustainable village development through eradicating lower-class social issues with upper-class support. Then the question arises, "What is the role of the middle class, and how do they adapt to these 18 goals?". This study uses a mixed explanatory design method and quantitative and qualitative methods. The phenomena that occur are studied and analyzed through sequential techniques to conclude that the adaptation pattern of the middle-class community is distinguished based on their response to the village SDGs program.

Abstract

The problems experienced by SME actors often become obstacles in society to improve their economic business such as business licensing, limited capital, expansion in marketing, constraints during the production process, and management of financial management. This research uses a qualitative type with Parsons's AGIL theory. The aim is to find out the division of roles of recycling empowerment actors and to analyze the resilience of this community through AGIL analysis. The research location was chosen because the empowerment carried out through Ex-Industry SMEs was successful due to an equilibrium role distribution system. The research subjects were selected using a purposive method. Data was collected using two primary data types (observation and interviews) and secondary data (through digital libraries). The analysis used in this study is the AGIL scheme's structural functionalism analysis focusing on analyzing the roles of Ex-Industry SME actors and Wedoro Hamlet residents in carrying out economic activities. The data validity checking technique used is triangulation. This research shows that their adaptation is carried out by prioritizing products in terms of quality and expanding the market to be able to compete with Chinese-owned products, goal orientation is carried out through conducting market research, innovation and creativity, which are continuously updated to increase market turnover, the latency that is applied is the value of discipline and kinship to strengthen solidarity between employers and employees, and the integration that is built is to establish a sense of solidarity and employee welfare to maintain business continuity.
