Abstract

Teaching reading for young learners in this 21st-century learning demands teachers to be creative and consider the educational effect on students through technology-enhanced language learning. Therefore, the characteristics of students categorized as young learners should be considered, so the process of designing teaching scenarios, including the material and media, can be administered right on the target. At this point, teaching reading as one of the parts of literacies in the EFL context challenged teachers to simultaneously build students' reading motivation and ability in this digital era. This mixed-method study involved 31 young learners in one primary school in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study had two research questions: 1) How is the student's reading activity during the implementation of Storyberries? And 2) How is the student's reading achievement after being taught using Storyberries? Storyberries, a treatment used in this study, was a free online audiobook that provides many short stories that can be adjusted to readers' age, the duration of reading need, and reading interest. The design used in this study was an Exploratory Sequential Design, where the qualitative method preceded the quantitative one. The instruments used in this study were classroom observation sheets and tests. The three concurrent flows as a triangulation technique were used to analyze the qualitative data, while normality and descriptive statistics using SPSS version 25 were administered to analyze the quantitative data. The study's findings revealed that teachers used good pedagogical aspects to integrate Storyberries into the reading classroom and successfully enhanced students' reading motivation and proficiency. This pedagogical impact is expected to be implemented to the broader scope of teaching reading for young learners' needs. Keywords: Teaching reading; storyberries; young learners

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine more deeply the independent learning curriculum inPAI subjects, the relationship between the kurikulum merdeka and character education and itsimplementation in educational institutions. The writing of this scientific article uses the method ofliterature study by using various types of sources both from books and scientific articles from variousjournals, theses, dissertations to find theories and supporting data. The results of this study are that thekurikulum merdeka is very relevant in PAI. This curriculum offers a larger and more holistic approachto teaching Islam and gives young people the opportunity to create their own unique identity based onIslamic principles. The younger generation is also taught critical, independent and creative thinking skillsthrough this curriculum. The future generation of Muslims must be able to think for themselves if theyare to better understand their religion and face difficulties in this dynamic and complex world. In theTechnical Guidance of Strengthening PAI Learning for SMA/SMALB/SMK Based on Blended, it statesthat in kurmer the number of two JP in one week is multiplied by 36 weeks, then 1 JP is added for Islamicreligious projects, resulting in a total of 108 JP each year from the Curriculum and Books Center. As aresult, he argues that the time allotted for the initial and final assessments is meant to gradually improvestudents’ soft skills and character. Because GPAI learning outcomes must conform to standards, schoolsmust learn how to communicate with parents. He also asked teachers to apply various learningapproaches. He believes that an kurikulum merdeka can be created using learning objectives achievementstandards (KKTP), which can include activities that are difficult to interpret.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the process (student activity and response) and learning outcomes of mathematics in the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model with puzzle media on the material for measuring angles for grade 3 students. Puzzle learning media applied in grade 3 about angles included sorting large sizes. angles, recognize and make the types of angles. This study uses classroom action research through at least two cycles to determine the improvement. If there is no improvement, then proceed to the third cycle and so on, until there is an increase. For data analysis using the percentage of classical completeness of the average percentage of observations. The results showed that the percentage of classical student activity in the first cycle was 63.13% with moderate success and 85.27% in the second cycle classical student activity with high success. The results of student responses using interviews in cycle I and cycle II both received 9 positive comments and 1 negative comment. This is a lot of students who give positive comments so that the response is said to be good. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes test in the first cycle with the classical percentage of 57.1% and in the second cycle as many as 29 students who completed the classical percentage 82.8% with an increase of 25.7% from the previous cycle. The conclusion that can be drawn from the research results is an increase in the percentage of student activity, student responses and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN Jepara I/90 Surabaya. The aim of this research is the need for efforts to improve the quality of student learning processes and outcomes. The social studies learning process that only uses learning resources from books and is not interactive can have an impact on student learning outcomes that are not optimal. The approach used is a quantitative approach with experimental research. The research design used is Quasi Experimental Design. The population used in this research was 72 students and the research sample was 36 students. In collecting the data used were multiple choice test questions. The test technique used by children is pretest-posttest to determine learning outcomes. Based on data analysis, it was concluded: 1) The results of data analysis showed that the average learning outcome value for the experimental class was 98.75 and the control class was 78.75. 2) the results of the hypothesis test using the T test show that the results of the hypothesis test for pairs 1 and 2 reject Ho and accept Ha with a sig value. 2 Tailed 0.000 < 0.05 with this there is an influence of the CTL Learning Model on the learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN I/90 of 39,696
