Abstract

Abstract: Most of elementary school in Sidoarjo have already referred to the 2013 curriculum, one of them is MI Ma'arif Sambiroto. All teachers at MI Ma'arif Sambiroto have attended several trainings in designing lesson plans in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. However, the school has never conducted an analysis of the appropriateness of the learning steps on the teacher's lesson plans with a scientific approach. This research aims to describe the results of analysis of the appropiateness of the learning steps with the scientific approach and the appropiateness of the lesson plan’s components according to the 2013 Curriculum.This research is a qualitative descriptive study that applies an interactive model. This research was conducted at MI Ma'arif Sambiroto, Taman, Sidoarjo. The subject in this research is the fourth grade teacher at MI Ma'arif Sambiroto and the main data is teacher’s lesson plans. The data collection technique used by researcher is the documentation technique. The research instrument that used by the researcher is checklist sheet of the learning steps on lesson plan with scientific approach. The data analysis process starts from reviewing all the data from the documentation. Next, it is followed by the stage of reducing the data and presenting the result in brief descriptions. Last, is verifying the data to draw a conclusion. The result shows that the fourth grade teacher at MI Maarif Sambiroto has compiled the lesson plan components according to the 2013 curriculum but in first learning process to the fourth learning process, the teacher has not included a scientific approach in the learning steps of the lesson plan. But in the sixth learning process the teacher has not included scientific reasoning skills. Keywords : Scientific approach; Lesson plan Abstrak: Sebagian besar SD/MI di Sidoarjo sudah mengacu pada Kurikulum 2013 khususnya di MI Ma’arif Sambiroto, salah satunya adalah MI Ma’arif Sambiroto. Semua guru di MI Ma’arif Sambiroto sudah pernah mengikuti beberapa pelatihan tentang penyusunan RPP sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013. Tetapi pihak sekolah MI Ma’arif Sambiroto belum pernah melakukan analisis tentang kesesuaian langkah-langkah pembelajaran pada RPP guru dengan pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan analisis kesesuaian langkah-langkah pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik dan analisis kesesuaian komponen RPP sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menerapkan model interaktif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MI Ma’arif Sambiroto Kecamatan Taman Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas IV di MI Ma’arif Sambiroto Kecamatan Taman Kabupaten Sidoarjo dan data utama penelitian ini adalah RPP guru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar checklist kesesuaian antara langkah-langkah pembelajaran di RPP guru dengan pendekatan saintifik. Proses analisis data dimulai dari menelaah seluruh data hasil dokumentasi. Setelah itu, dilanjutkan dengan mengadakan reduksi datadan menyajikan hasil dengan deskripsi yang jelas. Langah terakhir yaitu verifikasi untuk mengambil kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan guru menyusun komponen RPP sudah sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013 tetapi pada RPP Pembelajaran 1 sampai dengan RPP Pembelajaran 4 guru belum merumuskan indikator pembelajaran aspek keterampiln sehingga guru tidak menyusun perencanaan penilaian autentik pada aspek keterampilan dan guru sudah mencantumkan pendekatan saintifik dalam langkah-langkah pembelajaran pada RPP, tetapi pada RPP Pembelajaran 6 guru belum mencantumkan keterampilan ilmiah menalar. Abstract

Abstract: Virtual classes have now become commonplace during the COVID-19 pandemic. As time goes by, applications for virtual meetings continue to appear, one of which is Gather Town, which is now widely used and is a tight competitor to Zoom Meeting and Google Meet. Gather Town is a virtual meeting platform designed like a video game. This research is to implement the use of the 'Gather Town' game platform and to find out the student’s perception during the implementation and simulation of Gather Town application as an alternative platform in creating a sensation of English Language Learning (ELL) in the real classroom through virtual class during the pandemic COVID-19. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. The result analysis from observation and interview show that Gather Town has graphics similar to the Harvest Moon game, where students can play one character and can write their name on the top so that the lecturer can see which students are present. The room is designed similar to a classroom, where the lecturer's desk is at the front of the classroom. The virtual classroom also has chairs that are neatly lined up like classrooms in the real world. Then when doing group assignments, the student characters will gather at the same table as in a real classroom. They also carry out group work activities as if they were in the classroom. Each group sat in a circle and discussed with one another. The current game may be an alternative design in a virtual classroom. Abstrak: Kelas virtual kini menjadi hal biasa selama pandemi COVID-19. Seiring berjalannya waktu, aplikasi untuk virtual meeting terus bermunculan, salah satunya adalah Gather Town yang kini banyak digunakan dan menjadi pesaing ketat Zoom Meeting dan Google Meet. Gather Town adalah platform pertemuan virtual yang dirancang seperti gim video. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensimulasikan penggunaan platform game 'Gather Town' dan mengetahui persepsi siswa selama simulasi aplikasi Gather Town sebagai platform alternatif dalam menciptakan sensasi Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di kelas nyata melalui virtual. kelas selama pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil analisis dari observasi dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa Gather Town memiliki grafik yang mirip dengan game Harvest Moon, dimana mahasiswa dapat memainkan satu karakter dan dapat menuliskan namanya di bagian atas sehingga dosen dapat melihat mahasiswa mana yang hadir. Tidak hanya itu, ruangannya didesain mirip dengan ruang kelas, dimana meja dosen berada di bagian depan kelas. Ruang kelas virtual juga memiliki kursi yang berjejer rapi seperti ruang kelas di dunia nyata. Kemudian saat mengerjakan tugas kelompok, karakter siswa akan berkumpul di meja yang sama seperti di ruang kelas yang sebenarnya. Mereka juga melakukan kegiatan kerja kelompok seolah-olah berada di dalam kelas. Setiap kelompok duduk melingkar dan berdiskusi satu sama lain. Game saat ini dapat menjadi alternatif desain di kelas virtual.

Abstract

Abstract: This study tries to identify the creative stages of SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya students in the creative process of making batik motifs. The creative process starts from manual and digital design, exploring features and how they manage TikTok content as a form of their online exhibition. Furthermore, this study also explores the technology of enchantment in the use of TikTok in an online batik motif exhibition conducted by students of SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya. This study used a qualitative method with a virtual ethnography approach through TikTok and participatory in SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya. The research is focused on April and May 2021, where the online exhibition is held. The results showed that using IoT and digital technology enabled students to transform from negative to positive on TikTok social media. TikTok is used as a space for students' creativity in doing critical thinking on segmentation, social media management, and how they display their work. In addition, the features in TikTok are natural necessities that make students more comfortable learning because they accommodate the needs of students as Gen Z, who do have intimacy with IoT and digital technology.   Keywords: enchantment of TikTok; Gen Z creativity place; SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya; batik motifs online exhibition     Abstrak: Penelitian ini mencoba mengidentifikasi tahapan kreatif siswa SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya dalam proses kreatif pembuatan motif batik. Proses kreatif dimulai dari membuat desain manual dan digital, mengeksplorasi fitur dan bagaimana siswa mengelola konten TikTok sebagai bentuk pameran online. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi pesona teknologi melalui penggunaan TikTok dalam pameran motif batik online yang dilakukan oleh siswa SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi virtual melalui TikTok dan partisipatif di SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada bulan April dan Mei 2021, waktu diadakannya pameran online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan IoT dan teknologi digital memungkinkan siswa untuk bertransformasi dari anggapan negatif menjadi positif dengan media sosial TikTok. TikTok digunakan sebagai wadah kreativitas siswa dalam melakukan pemikiran kritis tentang segmentasi, pengelolaan media sosial, dan bagaimana mereka menampilkan karyanya. Selain itu, fitur-fitur TikTok merupakan kebutuhan alami yang membuat siswa lebih nyaman belajar karena mengakomodir kebutuhan siswa sebagai Generasi Z yang memang memiliki keakraban dengan IoT dan teknologi digital.   Kata kunci: Pesona TikTok; tempat kreativitas Generasi Z; SMA Negeri 2 Surabaya; Pameran online motif batik

Abstract

Abstract: This paper reports reflections of one of the courses I took in this semester namely Methodologies of Educational Research. To construct this paper, I used qualitative biographical-reflective method which is aligned with interpretive paradigm of narrative inquiry research methodology to describe my own experience in the learning process. The data I used were the postings from Zuvio mobile application designed for advising learning process with online platform and personal experience from reflective process of the course. I analyzed the data with three-stage qualitative data analysis: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The findings report that the classroom undergone with classroom action research has successfully overcome the difficulty faced by professors and students at international PhD programs. The students were found to perceive positive attitudes towards the carefully selected instructions design of action research with Flipped-Jigsaw approach. The implications were also proposed. Abstrak: Artikel ini melaporkan refleksi dari salah satu mata kuliah yang saya ambil pada semester ini yaitu Metodologi Penelitian Pendidikan. Untuk menyusun makalah ini, saya menggunakan metode kualitatif biografis-reflektif yang selaras dengan paradigma interpretatif metodologi penelitian inkuiri naratif untuk menggambarkan pengalaman saya sendiri dalam proses pembelajaran. Data yang saya gunakan adalah postingan dari aplikasi mobile Zuvio yang dirancang untuk proses pembelajaran dengan platform online dan pengalaman pribadi dari proses reflektif kursus. Saya menganalisis data dengan tiga tahap analisis data kualitatif: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kelas yang dilakukan dengan penelitian tindakan kelas telah berhasil mengatasi kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh profesor dan mahasiswa di program PhD internasional. Para siswa merasakan sikap positif terhadap desain instruksi penelitian tindakan yang dipilih dengan cermat dengan pendekatan Flipped-Jigsaw. Implikasinya juga diusulkan pada artikel ini.

Abstract

Abstract: Fine arts education courses are Science and Skills Subjects contained in the curriculum structure of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at Hasyim Asy'ari University, Jombang. This course has learning outcomes, namely students have awareness of local culture and environmental-based creative competencies to be applied in learning in elementary schools (SD). Therefore, a container is needed as a creative process and appreciation of works through art exhibition activities. This research method is qualitative as well as primary and secondary data collection through observation of the implementation of art learning. The purpose of this research is to produce works of art to be appreciated through class exhibitions as a forum for the creative process and art appreciation. It is proven by this activity being able to provide experience in the process of creating fine arts using various themes, materials and dimensions for the development of student creativity aspects as well as training students to appreciate traditional and contemporary cultural works. In the implementation of learning, learning models are needed to achieve high quality learning. learning models help educators to package a lesson that can attract interest in appreciating and creating works of art.   Keywords: exhibitions, fine arts, creative processes, appreciation   Abstrak: Mata kuliah pendidikan seni rupa merupakan Mata Kuliah Keilmuan dan Ketrampilan yang terdapat dalam struktur kurikulum Prodi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar di Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari Jombang. Mata kuliah ini memiliki capaian pembelajaran yaitu mahasiswa memiliki kesadaran terhadap budaya lokal dan kompetensi kreatif berbasislingkungan untuk diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan wadah sebagai proses kreatif dan apresiasi karya melalui kegiatan pameran seni rupa. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif serta pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder melalui observasi terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni rupa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memproduksi karya seni rupa untuk diapresiasi melalui pameran kelas sebagai wadah proses kreatif dan apresiasi seni. Terbukti dengan adanya kegiatan ini mampu memberikan pengalaman proses berkarya seni rupa dengan menggunakan berbagai tema, material dan dimensi untuk pengembangan aspek kreativitas mahasiswa serta melatih mahasiswa untuk menghargai karya budaya tradisional maupun kontemporer.Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dibutuhkan model pembelajaran guna tercapainya kualitas pembelajaran yang tinggi.Pengembangan model pembelajaran membantu pendidik untuk mengemas sebuah pembelajaran yang dapat menarik minat dalam mengapresiasi dan berkreasi karya seni rupa.Penelitian ini menghasilkan acuan berupa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang berorientasi pada kecerdasan interpersonal dan aplikasinya dalam pemebelajaran seni rupa. . Abstract

Abstract: Nowadays government agencies are required to improve the quality of their services to the community. One of the steps taken to improve that is through training activities. In order to achieve the expected goals, the training that is held must go well, from planning to evaluation of results. Therefore, the evaluation must be done seriously and use the right method or model. The training evaluation model that has been applied at the BDK Banjarmasin refers to the four-level evaluation model or what is often called the Kirkpatrick evaluation model. However, based on initial observation, most of the employees and even some trainers do not know about the Kirkpatrick's evaluation model itself. This can be seen from the number of employees and coaches who do not understand how to do the evaluation, or how to analyze the results. Observations made show that the application of Kirkpatrick's evaluation model in the training at the BDK Banjarmasin was still not effective, because most only focus on levels 1, 2 and 3 while level 4 are still rarely done.  Keywords: evaluation; Kirkpatrick; education; training.  Abstrak: Saat ini instansi pemerintah dituntut untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanannya kepada masyarakat. Salah satu langkah perbaikan yang dilakukan yaitu melalui kegiatan pelatihan. Untuk mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan, pelatihan yang diadakan harus berjalan dengan baik, mulai dari perencanaan hingga evaluasi hasil. Oleh karena itu, evaluasi harus dilakukan secara serius dan menggunakan metode atau model yang tepat. Model evaluasi pelatihan yang telah diterapkan di BDK Banjarmasin mengacu pada model evaluasi empat tingkat atau yang sering disebut dengan model evaluasi Kirkpatrick. Namun berdasarkan pengamatan awal, sebagian besar karyawan bahkan beberapa trainer belum mengetahui tentang model evaluasi Kirkpatrick itu sendiri. Hal ini terlihat dari masih banyaknya pegawai dan pembina yang belum memahami cara melakukan evaluasi, atau cara menganalisis hasil. Pengamatan yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model evaluasi Kirkpatrick dalam pelatihan di BDK Banjarmasin masih belum efektif, karena sebagian besar hanya fokus pada level 1, 2 dan 3 sedangkan level 4 masih jarang dilakukan.   Kata kunci: evaluasi; Kirkpatrick; pendidikan; pelatihan.

Abstract

Abstract: Since the Covid-19 Pandemic, all Government Institutions and Units must work at home or called Work From Home (WFH), including learning which is also carried out online. After running for 2 months or more, the implementation of the office and learning needs to be evaluated. So this study aims to describe the performance of leaders, lecturers, and teaching staff at the Unesa Postgraduate Program during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Data was obtained from March to October 2020, during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study was designed as a population study, namely research using the entire population as a sample, namely all lecturers, education staff, and students. The data will be analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis with narrative explanation. The results are (1) the performance of the leadership, namely the Director, Deputy Director for Academic and Student Affairs, and Deputy Director for General Affairs, is in good/high criteria although there are still some respondents' points below the average. (2) The performance of the Head of Study Programs is classified into 3 groups, namely groups with very high/very good, high/good, and moderate categories. The very high/very good group had 2 head of study programs, the high//good group had 16 head of study programs, and the medium group had 6 heads of study programs. (3) Lecturer performance is based on self-assessment, the biggest obstacle is signal/network problems, the second obstacle is difficulty in understanding the material and sequentially is limited quota, difficult to measure student participation/attitude, application, less able to use distance learning models, devices, health /tired/stress/indeterminate working hours, potential fraud, and administration. (6) The performance of education personnel based on the assessment of the head of the sub-section that still needs to be improved is the quantity of work according to the target, the ability to carry out tasks online well, and carrying out tasks at home must be equipped with personal facilities Meanwhile, based on student assessments, some things that still need to be improved are the ability to work together in completing assignments, the quantity of work done according to the target, the ability to carry out tasks online well, and carrying out tasks at home must be equipped with personal facilities. Keywords: Performance assessment, Director and Vice Director, Staff academic and Lecturer, Postgraduate Program, Pandemic of Covid-19 Abstrak: Sejak adanya Pandemic Covid-19, semua Lembaga dan Unit Pemerintah harus bekerja di rumah atau disebut Work From Home (WFH), termasuk pembelajaran juga dilaksanakan secara online sistem. Setelah berjalan selama 2 bulan atau lebih, pelaksanaan kantor dan pembelajaran perlu dilakukan evaluasi. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kinerja pimpinan, dosen, dan tenaga pendidik di Program Pascasarjana Unesa selama Pandemic Covid-19. Data diperloah dari mulai bulan Maret sampai Oktober tahun 2020, selama Pandemic Covid-19. Penelitian ini didesain sebagai penelitian populasi yaitu penelitian dengan menggunakan semua populasi sebagai sampel yaitu semua dosen, tenaga kependidikan, dan mahasiswa. Data akan dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dengan penjelasan secara narasi. Hasilnya adalah (1) kinerja pimpinan yaitu Direktur, Wakil Direktur Bidang Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan, dan Wakil Direktur Bidang Umum masuk kriteria baik/tinggi walaupun masih ada beberapa poin responden yang dibawah rata-rata. (2) Kinerja dari kaprodi digolongkan menjadi 3 kelompok, yaitu kelompok dengan kategori sangat tinggi/sangat baik, tinggi/baik, dan sedang. Kelompok sangat tinggi/sangat baik terdapat 2 kaprodi, kelompok tinggi//baik terdapat 16 kaprodi, dan kelompok sedang terdapat 6 kaprodi. (3) Kinerja dosen berdsarakan penilaian diri, hambatan terbesar adalah masalah sinyal/jaringan, hambatan kedua adalah kesulitan pemahaman materi dan secara berurutan adalah terbatasnya kuota, sulit mengukur partisipasi/sikap mahasiswa, aplikasi, kurang bisa menggunakan model pembelajaran jarak jauh, perangkat, kesehatan/lelah/stress/jam kerja tak tentu, potensi kecurangan, dan administrasi. (6) Kinerja tenaga kependidikan berdasarkan penilaian Kasubag yaitu masih perlu ditingkatkan adalah kuantitas hasil kerja sesuai target, kemampuan melaksanakan tugas secara online dengan baik, dan pelaksanaan tugas dirumah harus dilengkapi dengan fasilitas pribadi. Sedangkan berdasarkan penilaian mahasiswa beberapa yang masih harus ditingkatkan adalah kemamapuan kerja-sama dalam menyelesaikan tugas, kuantitas hasil kerja sesuai target, kemampuan melaksanakan tugas secara online dengan baik, dan pelaksanaan tugas dirumah harus dilengkapi dengan fasilitas pribadi. Abstract

Abstract: Assessment in critical thinking (CT) is essential to be implemented particularly in the English Language Teaching (ELT) classrooms; it can help teachers recognize their students’ English proficiency as well as CT skill level since both of them are interconnected. However, this assessment of CT is not well achieved in most language schools in Indonesia including at the university level since CT is not an independent subject, it is only linked to the main subjects existing in Indonesian curriculum. Therefore, this current study tries to investigate (1) teachers’ perspective on assessing their students’ CT (2) strategies that the teachers use to assess their students’ CT, and how those strategies are implemented. In depth interviews were conducted with two lectures of the English education Department. The findings show that (RQ1) the teachers realize that it is very important to assess students’ CT during teaching-learning process mainly in ELT context even tough CT is not aimed as the main objectives of the course, (RQ 2) teachers use questions and answers, instructions and directions, group discussion and pair assessment strategies to assess their students’ CT through giving questions and instructions to gain their students’ ideas which are implemented in the beginning, main, and closing activities relating to the topic discussed. In addition, they also conduct group discussion to help students actively involved in sharing their ideas, peer assessment is also utilised. In this case, teachers use their own creativity to assess their students’ CT. They relate the assessments given to assess students’ CT based on the goal and objectives of the course, and what should be achieved in that course. From this study, language teachers are suggested to encourage university students by creating classroom activities that lead to developing students' critical thinking based on the goal or objectives of the course, and what should be achieved in that course. In addition, further research is expected to expand this scope by involving more participants in a variety of contexts and fields to achieve more insightful knowledge and experience.    Keywords—Critical Thinking, Assessment, Assessment of Critical Thinking Abstrak: Penilaian berpikir kritis sangat penting untuk diterapkan khususnya di kelas pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, hal tersebut diklaim dapat membantu guru mengenali kemampuan Bahasa Inggris siswa dan keterampilan berfikir kritis karena keduanya saling berhubungan. Namun, penilaian berfikir kritis ini tidak tercapai dengan baik di sebagian besar sekolah bahasa di Indonesia termasuk di tingkat universitas karena keterampilan berfikir kritis bukanlah mata kuliah yang berdiri sendiri, melainkan terkait dengan mata kuliah utama yang ada dalam kurikulum di Indonesia. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk menyelidiki (1) perspektif dosen dalam menilai kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswanya (2) strategi yang digunakan dosen untuk menilai kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswa, dan bagaimana strategi tersebut diterapkan. Wawancara secara mendalam dilakukan dengan dua orang dosen dari jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di Indonesia. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa (RQ1) para dosen menyadari betapa pentingnya untuk menilai kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswa selama proses belajar-mengajar terutama dalam konteks pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, (RQ 2) dosen menggunakan  strategi pertanyaan dan jawaban, instruksi dan arahan, diskusi kelompok dan penilaian berpasangan untuk menilai kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswa mereka. Melalui pemberian pertanyaan dan instruksi untuk mendapatkan gagasan mahasiswa yang diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan awal, utama, dan penutup berkaitan dengan topik yang dibahas. Selain itu, dosen juga menerapkan diskusi kelompok untuk membantu mahasiswa terlibat aktif dalam berbagi ide atau gagasan, dan penilaian rekan juga digunakan. Dalam hal ini, dosen menciptakan ide kreatif mereka sendiri untuk menilai kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswanya. Mereka menghubungkan penilaian yang diberikan untuk menilai kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswa berdasarkan tujuan pembelajaran, dan apa yang harus dicapai dalam mata kuliah tersebut. Dari penelitian ini, para pengajar Bahasa Inggris disarankan untuk menciptakan kegiatan kelas yang mengarah pada pengembangan kemampuan berfikir kritis mahasiswa berdasarkan pada tujuan pembelajaran, dan apa yang harus dicapai pada mata kuliah tersebut. Selain itu, para peneliti dimasa mendatang diharapkan dapat memperluas cakupan ini dengan melibatkan lebih banyak peserta dalam berbagai konteks dan bidang untuk mencapai pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang lebih mendalam.   Kata Kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Penilaian, Penilaian Berpikir Kritis

Abstract

Abstract: Miller (1999:1) defines multigrade class as a class in which students of two or more adjacent grade levels are taught in one classroom by one teacher for most of the day. It is obviously hard to be imagined that a teacher teaches grade one, two, and three concurrently. This study also is highlighted of the using YouTube as a media where students can take any kind of references that can help them to improve their English skill is better. Such as; watching daily vlog from youtuber outside Indonesia, listening while singing English song by watching several lyrics video. weather news report, stand-up comedy, gossip news which telling about the Hollywood celebrity, etc. from those kinds of references that available in YouTube, it is hoped that students also can be more attracted to learn English clearly. Considering those all, teaching multigrade students possibly will not run well unless the students correspondingly add some varieties way to comprehend English easily. It needs something that make students are busy and focus on what will be learned and achieve later. Therefore, watching YouTube video is attempted in this study. This research belonged to qualitative research. The participants of the study in this research are eleven multigrade English students in speaking class who were taught by the researcher. The data of this study was taken from the students’ response. those are taken from the interview of each group through online interview. The study are undertaken for a month while teaching learning activities are committed twice a week, 90 minutes for each meeting. This study brings in a simple finding that the students of multigrade class can be formed well-enough as well as single-grade class, nevertheless it is unavoidable that in the process oftenly faced the obstacle, such as lower grade students who sulking, quarrelling, and lecturer also has to do extra effort to keep the learning process is on the proper track. This is also indicates that using YouTube video as a media is effective to be implemented on multigrade class with limited number of participants because the different result possibly emerges when there are more participants and more various grades of students. It is hoped that there will be another researcher can make further research to get deeper study about the topic in the same field in order to get more enlightenment result about YouTube as a media of learning especially in teaching multigrade English students.   Keywords: Speaking class, Multigrade students, YouTube   Abstrak: Miller (1999: 1)  mendefinisikan kelas multigrade sebagai kelas di mana siswa dari dua atau lebih tingkat kelas yang berdekatan diajarkan di satu kelas oleh satu guru untuk sebagian besar hari. Jelas sulit untuk dibayangkan bahwa seorang guru mengajar kelas satu, dua, dan tiga secara bersamaan.  Studi ini juga menyoroti penggunaan Youtube sebagai media di mana siswa dapat mengambil segala jenis referensi yang dapat membantu mereka untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bahasa Inggris mereka lebih baik. Seperti; menonton vlog harian dari youtuber luar Indonesia, mendengarkan sambil menyanyikan lagu berbahasa Inggris dengan menonton beberapa video lirik. Laporan berita cuaca, stand-up comedy, berita gosip yang menceritakan tentang selebriti Hollywood, dll dari referensi semacam itu yang tersedia di YouTube, diharapkan siswa juga dapat lebih tertarik untuk belajar bahasa Inggris dengan jelas. Mengingat semua itu, mengajar siswa multigrade mungkin tidak akan berjalan dengan baik kecuali siswa dengan demikian menambahkan beberapa jenis cara untuk memahami bahasa Inggris dengan mudah. Dibutuhkan sesuatu yang membuat siswa sibuk dan fokus pada apa yang akan  dipelajari dan dicapai nanti. Oleh karena itu,  menonton video YouTube dicoba dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif. Peserta penelitian  dalam penelitian ini adalah sebelas siswa bahasa Inggris multigrade  di kelas berbicara  yang    diajarkan oleh peneliti. Data  penelitian ini diambil dari    respon siswa. yang diambil dari wawancara masing-masing kelompok melalui wawancara online. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama  sebulan sementara kegiatan belajar mengajar dilakukan dua kali seminggu, 90 menit untuk setiap pertemuan. Penelitian ini membawa temuan sederhana bahwa siswa kelas multigrade dapat dibentuk cukup baik serta kelas tunggal, namun tidak dapat dihindari bahwa dalam proses sering menghadapi hambatan, seperti siswa kelas bawah yang merajuk, bertengkar, dan  dosen juga harus melakukan upaya ekstra untuk menjaga proses pembelajaran berada di jalur yang benar. Ini juga menunjukkan bahwa  menggunakan video YouTube sebagai media efektif untuk diimplementasikan pada kelas multigrade dengan jumlah peserta yang terbatas karena hasil yang berbeda mungkin muncul ketika ada lebih banyak peserta dan lebih banyak nilai siswa yang berbeda. Diharapkan ada peneliti lain yang dapat melakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mendapatkan kajian yang lebih mendalam tentang topik di bidang yang sama guna mendapatkan hasil pencerahan yang lebih banyak tentang YouTube sebagai media pembelajaran khususnya dalam pengajaran bahasa Inggris kelas rangkap.   Kata kunci: Kelas berbicara, siswa Multigrade, YouTube

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes in the concept of learning addition and subtraction in learning Mathematics, especially for grade 1 in Elementary School, is still not optimal. This is one of the contributing factors is the lack of mathematics learning materials developed by the teachers, and not many teachers involve students in the learning process so that students are less active in responding to the ongoing Mathematics learning. This study is intended to design learning media that can improve student learning outcomes in learning Mathematics through the development of interactive e-book media for the Dakon game. The formulation of this problem is how is the process of developing the Dakon Game Interactive E-Book Media to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students and How is the feasibility of developing Dakon Game Interactive E-Book Media to Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students, this study uses the R&D development method only at level 1 with the stages of collecting potentials and problems, literature study and information gathering, product design, design validation, and tested design. With the results of the linguist validation test, the percentage of eligibility of 85% was declared very feasible to use, then the material validation test with a feasibility percentage of 83% was also declared very feasible to use, and the last one was the empirical scale test with a feasibility percentage of 86% indicating that the e-book media Dakon student interactive game is very feasible to use.
