Abstract

Research involving women’s Tanjung Talok Village as the object of study aims to analyze the role of women in utilizing the local potential and can be used as business products in Tanjung Talok Village. In Tanjung Talok village, there are five local communities (groups), and each group has one effect of being developed. This study did in Tanjung Talok village from March until July 2021. Furthermore, the research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. Researchers conducted in-depth interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The data obtained were analyzed by a qualitative descriptive approach. The variable in this research is women in Tanjung Talok village who have still productive to develop a small business product. The results showed that the role of Tanjung Talok in utilizing local potential was not maximized. From a total of 104 family data, it was known that women who had businesses based on local potential were 15 women with products such as fish crackers, gamat oil, chips, peanut brittle, chili paste, and other small businesses. The role of Tanjung Talok women is maximized by having a business group with Tanjung Talok’s women to develop small Business or household products. Most women in Tanjung Talok have the skill to process those products. Marketing and packaging are challenging to create those products due to women in Tanjung Talok don’t have much talent or experience on their part. The following research has to focus on analyzing the effectiveness of the management model that will apply in Tanjung Talok village

Abstract

This research aims to determine the determinants that affect the partnership between dairy farmers and KSU Karya Nugraha. This research was carried out in Cigugur District, Kuningan Regency, West Java, which was determined purposively, the largest milk-producing cooperative in Kuningan Regency. Data collection was carried out from January to September 2020. The study used the dependent variable of partnership, and independent variables are communication, cooperation, trust, and commitment. The survey was conducted to collect information using questionnaires with the number of respondents 42 people selected at random. Data is processed by the SEM-PLS method. The results showed only one insignificant determinant of the partnership was cooperation. Communication, trust, and commitment have a significant effect on alliances. Research has also found that communication and responsibility have a significant influence on collaboration and trust

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the production process of the blacksmith industry in Togo Binongko District, Wakatobi Regency, in May 2019. The determination of the research location was determined purposively. Respondents in this study were heads of families who worked as blacksmiths in Togo Binongko District, Wakatobi Regency, with as many as 20 respondents. Data analysis uses quantitative data analysis techniques to describe the data that has been collected and present the data in tabular form so that it becomes clearer according to the conditions in the field. The results showed that the agricultural equipment produced by the smart in Togo Binongko District was made through a traditional production process while maintaining product quality. The production process starts from Tila and Tihi (sorting and cutting of iron raw materials), Kepa'a (forging), Hokomonde'a (modeling), and Soropu'a (re-burning). Blacksmith artisans can maintain the quality of the products produced by improving the production process by participating in training and using equipment that can increase production efficiency.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the determinants of farmers’ learning patterns in developing organic lowland rice. This research is a survey research with the research location in Lambandia District, East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The was chosen because some farmers have applied organic lowland rice cultivation technology. The research period was for three months, from July to September 2021. The number of samples was 62 farmers by the census. Research variables were farmers’ characteristics, access to information media, support of supporting factors, and farmer learning patterns. collecting data with structured interviews using a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. The results showed that the farmer’s learning pattern was through imitation of innovation with the support of the availability of creation and assistance. Farmer characteristics, supporting factors, and farmer access to information affect farmer learning patterns.

Abstract

One of the problems with agriculture in urban areas is that food access is difficult, while soil conditions for agricultural land are limited and less productive. Currently, the whole world is faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, including in urban areas, so that easy access to food and the availability of safe, cheap, healthy, and nutritious food are essential. Urban farming through hydroponic technology is one of the efforts to procure household food independently. It is expected to support the economy of independent communities—this study aims to analyze the levels of public perception of the application of hydroponic technology. The research was conducted in Tarakan City from April to June 2021. Determining respondents was carried out intentionally, considering that the community had obtained information about hydroponic technology. Data analysis that has been used in answering the research objectives is descriptive qualitative data analysis using a Likert scale to measure the level of public perception of hydroponic technology. The story of perception is determined based on respondents' answers about their knowledge of several perceptions about hydroponic technology. The characteristics of the research respondents consisted of an average age of 30 years, the formal education of the respondents graduated from high school, the average number of family members was four people with the main occupation being non-farmers. The results showed that the public had a heightened perception of the application of hydroponic technology (81.11 percent). The highest perception value is found in the perception that plants grown hydroponically are healthier, the quality of the results is maintained, maintenance is easy and more practical. It has a high selling price compared to those grown conventionally.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for food for the local community of Southeast Sulawesi Province. Food diversification by preserving local food, sago, and brown rice from upland rice. Foodstuffs that are handled differently are first handled in groups for sago and done by farmers and their families for upland rice. The study aimed to analyze the differences in income between sago processing farmers and upland rice farmers. The research was conducted in two locations, namely: (1) sago processing group in Lameuru Village, West Ranomeeto District, South Konawe Regency, and (2) upland rice farmers in Bubu Village, Kambowa District, North Buton Regency. Determination of research locations by purposive for as many as ten people for sago processors. By Simple Random Sampling for upland rice farmers as many as 24 people. The analytical tool used is descriptive analysis with a t-test. According to the findings, sago processors' average monthly income was IDR1,791,400.00, more than Indonesian farmers' average monthly income of IDR1,600,000 in 2016. Upland rice farmers earn an average of IDR1,116,726.20 per month, more than the IDR1,000,000.00 per month average for Indonesian farmers in 2017. The results of the t-test showed a significant difference between the income of sago processors and the average income of upland rice farmers.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of the main driving sectors of the North Buton Regency during the covid 19 pandemic, Bonegunu District, North Buton Regency is trying to develop superior commodities for the food crops secondary crops sub-sector. The problem in developing food crops and secondary crops during the COVID-19 pandemic is that they have not determined only commodities and strategies for growing and secondary crops during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the potential for developing superior commodities of food crops and secondary crops before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. 19 and to find out the strategy for developing excellent commodities of food crops and secondary crops during the covid 19 pandemic. The data analysis in this study was LQ and SWOT analysis. The results showed that before the covid 19 pandemic, rice was the leading commodity, but the commodity was not during the covid 19 pandemic. Commodities that experienced an increase or were superior during the COVID-19 pandemic were sweet potatoes and green beans. The strategy for developing food crops and secondary crops in Bonegunu District, North Buton Regency during the COVID-19 pandemic includes the SO strategy, Building partnerships between the central and regional governments of North Buton Regency and the private sector, Expansion of the development area, ST Strategy, Expansion of marketing networks through online media, Setting prices government purchases (HPP) at the farmer level, WO strategy, increasing the number of adequate facilities and infrastructure, increasing farmer human resources through training and mentoring, expanding the use of modern technology, WT strategy, increasing the use of superior seeds, fertilizers, and integrated pest control

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted various economic sectors, one of which is the sale of purebred chicken eggs. This study aims to determine the impact of selling broiler eggs in Konda District, South Konawe Regency, during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted in March – November 2021. The population in this study was six chicken egg traders consisting of retailers and wholesalers. Using the census method, six people were obtained as research samples. The variables in this study are the respondent’s identity and sales of broiler eggs. The analysis used in this research is analyzed descriptively. This analysis compares deals of broiler eggs before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results showed that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic caused a 23% decrease in the number of sales of broiler eggs at retail traders. Meanwhile, there is no decrease in sales of broiler eggs at wholesalers.

Abstract

This research aims to compare farmers' levels of independence before and after receiving government support in Buke District, South Konawe Regency. The second goal was to see whether there was a change in farmers' levels of independence before and after getting government support in Buke District, South Konawe Regency. From June 2021 to February 2022, this study was conducted. The participants in this research were all members of farmer organizations. Using the Slovin algorithm, 49 respondents were selected from each farmer group member for this research. The data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistical analysis and t-test analysis. The findings revealed that farmers' degree of independence before obtaining program help from the Directorate General of Water Resources (Development of Damin infrastructure) was poor. The average score received from each indicator fell into the low group. After receiving program help from the Directorate General of Water Resource (Development of Damin infrastructure), farmers' independence is high. Data analysis using a t-test to determine the impact of government assistance on farmer independence reveals a significant probability value, indicating that there is an essential or genuine difference between before and after the assistance program, implying that the Directorate General of Water Resource (Development of Damin infrastructure) program has a positive and significant impact on increasing the independence of lowland rice farmers in Buke District.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on visitors and the income of coastal communities in the tourism sector of Bokori Island. The research was conducted on Bokori Island, Soropia District, Konawe Regency. The research location was determined purposively, considering that Bokori Island is one of the tourist destinations affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The sample in this research is 50 people who work in the tourism sector. This research was conducted from October to December 2021. The variables used in this study were the number of visitors and income. The data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive based on the results of the scoring of each variable and the paired sample t-Test. The results showed that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the variable number of visitors was in the medium category and the income variable was in the high category. This is also evidenced by the results of the t-test analysis, which shows that there was a significant difference before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in people's incomes, which means that the Covid-19 pandemic had an impact on the number of visitors and the income of coastal communities in the tourism sector of Bokori Island.
