Abstract

By utilizing the development of technology and communication in the 21st century, it is hoped that it can meet the needs of students related to local-based history learning. With the current development of technology and communication, we have felt the impact such as the emergence of various applications with features that can be used to compile and shape teaching materials with digital displays, such as products that have been compiled with the theme KH. Ghalib's struggle. The application used is Flip PDF Professional 2.4.9.18. By utilizing this technology, it is hoped that it can improve students' readiness to study history, especially those based locally. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This method is carried out by distributing questionnaires containing questions about the readiness of Pringsewu Private Vocational School students. The findings in two private schools in Pringsewu Regency, namely SMK Nurul Huda and SMK KH Ghalib, show the readiness of students in learning local history teaching materials. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that by utilizing technological and communication advances it can trigger student readiness to learn, especially local-based history learning.

Abstract

Abstract

The background of this classroom action research is the low learning outcomes of science learning in class VI SD Muhammadiyah Sukorejo. Of the 25 grade VI students only 4 children completed (16%) and 21 other children did not complete (84%) measured by the completeness of student learning outcomes (KKM: 65.00). This classroom action research (PTK) consists of two cycles and each cycle consists of 2 meetings consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of improvement in science learning outcomes in electrical circuit material. In this study, the action taken was learning using the discovery learning model in science learning with electrical circuit material in class VI SD Muhammadiyah Sukorejo students in semester 1 of the 2020/2021 academic year. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using comparative descriptive by comparing quantitative data from cycle I and cycle II. Based on the results of the study showed that student learning outcomes from the initial conditions an average value of 61 with completeness of 16%. Negative content and typing errors written in the book will cause different understandings experienced by elementary school students. Elementary school student who have good linguistic intelligence will be easy to memorize and have extensive vocabulary. Elementary school student with high visual-spatial intelligence will be active in the imagination. Books used by primary schools must meet the values and norms applicable in the community. Primary schools are required to evaluate all the books used in primary schools. Sanctions are granted to authors and publishers if any incorrect information is written in the book. Primary school students will think positively or negatively by looking at textbooks. Eligibility of elementary school textbooks is the responsibility of many parties in the field of education even though teachers are an important component that should assess the appropriateness of textbooks.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how the application of discovery learning model assisted by audio-visual media can improve understanding of social studies concepts in elementary school students? Purpose To determine the application of discovery learning model assisted by audio-visual media can improve understanding of social studies concepts in elementary school students. The object of this research is the fourth grade students of SD UMP. The data collection technique is carried out systematically with standard procedures, namely, learning outcome data is taken through tests at the end of each cycle and observation of student participation. The data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis of the formative test results. Then, the results of the calculations were consulted with the success criteria, to determine whether they were complete or not. Based on the results of the evaluation test from the first and second cycles, an increase in learning completeness was obtained. In the first cycle achieving learning outcomes with completeness 68%. In the second cycle the completeness of learning outcomes was 82%. Based on the findings and the results obtained in the study, it can be concluded that, through the discovery learning model assisted by audio-visual media, it can improve understanding of the social studies concept in elementary school students, but it still needs to be improved in cycle III.
