Abstract

The problem in this research is how the application of the Guided Discovery Learning Model can improve the understanding of science concepts in elementary school students? Purpose To determine the application of the Guided Discovery Learning Model can improve understanding of science concepts in elementary school students. The object of this research is the fifth grade students of SDN Sidaurip 04 Gandrungmangu. The data collection technique was carried out systematically with standard procedures, namely, learning outcome data was taken through tests at the end of each cycle and observation of student participation. The data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analyzes of the formative test results. Then, the results of the calculations were consulted with the success criteria, to determine whether they were complete or not. Based on the results of the evaluation test from the first and second cycles, an increase in learning completeness was obtained. In the first cycle achieved learning outcomes with 66.67% completeness. In the second cycle the completeness of learning outcomes was 88.89%. Based on the findings and results obtained in the study, it can be concluded that, through the Guided Discovery Learning Model, it can improve understanding of the science concept of elementary school students

Abstract

Dayu Village which located in Gondangrejo Subdistrict, Karangnyar Regency has the potential disaster multi risks. Therefore, necessary to increase the capacity of Dayu Village community in facing disaster multi risks as anticipatory effort to minimize the impact of losses disasters in the future. The research used quantitative descriptive method with scoring and overlay analysis techniques, while for increasing community capacity through socialization related to the physical conditions of the area, FGD, participatory mapping, training and making evacuation routes. Based on the analysis results, it is known that Dayu Village has high level of disaster multi-risk. The results of FGD and participatory mapping showed that there were 6 points landslide and 1 point flood in Dusun Dayu  and 4 landslide points and 2 flood points in Dusun Tanjung. These location points used as reference in determining the location of the gathering point along with the evacuation route to that gathering point.

Abstract

Humans use goods and services to meet the needs every day increasing. One alternative in overcoming this is to recycle used goods. Through creative character education for students class four of SD N 7 Kutosari by utilizing used items to become verticultur. The method used in this study is the stage of action research. The results of this study showed a significant increase in the first cycle shorting trash be based on his species and the second cycle showed the high creativity of students in the use of used plastic bottles as verticultur.

Abstract

This study aims to meet whether the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) learning method can be used to improve the results of questioning activeness in grade IV SD Negeri Pereng. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK), using the model of Kesmis and Mc. Taggart. The subjects in this study were the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Pereng, Tasikmalaya Regency, totaling 17 students. Data collection techniques in the form of student observation sheets, tests to determine the ability to ask questions and administrative learning documents. The results showed that the use of the Learning Start With A Question (LSQ) learning method in social studies learning could increase the activeness of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Pereng, Tasikmalaya Regency. Based on the test results obtained by students at the end of each cycle, it showed an increase in student questioning activity. The average completeness in the first cycle was 47.35, and the average completeness in the second cycle was 67.64, while the average of the third cycle was 78.82. The results show that the quality of the learning process, especially in questioning activeness, has increased.

Abstract

The students’ability level of solving the problem is still low. Regarding the importance of having the problem-solving skill itself, there should be alternative methods to support the students to solve the problem. The aim of this research is to examine the increased level of problem-solving skill on a plane figure and a solid figure essay by Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction (ARIAS) learning model for grade V students of SD Negeri Tunggulsari II No. 179 Surakarta academic year 2017/2018. This research conducted in two cycles with the teacher and 29 students from grade V as the subject. The data were collected by interview, observation, test, and document review. Data validaty is tested by content validity,triangulation of source and technique.The results show that the use of ARIAS learning model improving the problem-solving skill on a plane figure and solid figure essay. It can be proven by the increasing percentage of classical completeness on the pre-cycle of 17,24%, increased to 27,59% in the first cycle and increased to 86,21% in the second cycle. The conclusion of this research is the ARIAS learning model can improve the problem-solving skill of plane figure and solid figure essay on grade V students of SD Negeri Tunggulsari II No. 179 Surakarta academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve vocabulary writing skills in grade II SDN Wukirsari students through the application of the Picture and Picture model assisted by google meet. The research conducted was a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with three cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The stages of each cycle are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Each meeting is carried out a pre test and post test to determine the progress of students. In the first cycle students who completed after carrying out the post test were 50%. In cycle II students who completed after carrying out the post test were 80%. These results indicate that the Picture and Picture learning model can improve student learning outcomes, especially Indonesian language muples at SD Negeri Wukirsari.

Abstract

The problems of the people of Singocandi Village RT 001 RW 002 related to the habit of using bar soap as hand washing soap are increasing. Bar soap is recommended to only be used by one person. The use of bar soap interchangeably is not recommended because it is not hygienic and is thought to be able to transmit disease. Moreover, it is used as hand soap by the whole family. The purpose of the activity of using bar soap into liquid hand washing soap is a form of the Covid-19 Community Service Program which is carried out in Singocandi Village to maintain cleanliness and body health and increase the creativity of local residents. Processing of bar soap, if developed, is expected to increase the habit of a clean and healthy lifestyle and increase income in Singocandi Village. The method of implementation carried out in this activity is: (1) delivery of material on how to make liquid hand soap from bar soap. (2) practice with the children of RT 001 / RW 002.The result is increased knowledge, innovation and creativity, the creation of liquid soap products, and habits of a clean and healthy lifestyle

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis adalah kemampuan yang setiap orang dimiliki dalam menerima informasi yang di terima dengan cara menganalisa lebih mendalam segala bukti yang ada serta dapat menyimpulkan informasi tersebut secara lebih spesifik. Kemampuan berpikir kritis memang diperlukan untuk menganalisis suatu masalah hingga pada tahap mencari solusi untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut. Berpikir kritis artinya proses melakukan penalaran terhadap suatu masalah sampai ke tahap kompleks tentang “mengapa” dan “bagaimana” proses pemecahannya. Kemampuan berpikir kritis mendorong siswa memunculkan suatu ide atau pemikiran yang baru mengenai permasalahan dunia. Siswa akan dilatih bagaimana menyeleksi berbagai  pendapat orang, sehingga siswa dapat membedakan mana pendapat yang benar dan tidak benar. Selain itu, cara mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan membantu siswa membuat kesimpulan berdasarkan pertimbangan data dan fakta yang terjadi di lapangan. RME adalah pembelajaran yang  menekankan  pada hal-hal yang kontekstual dan nyata yang berkaitan dengan masalah  di kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga siswa dapat dengan mudah menerima materi dan memberikan pengalaman yang bermakna pada siswa. RME memiliki karakteristik khusus yang berbeda dengan pendekatan lain. Ciri khususnya adalah adanya konteks permasalahan realistik yang menjadi titik awal pembelajaran matematika, serta penggunaan model untuk membedakan dunia matematika yang abstrak menuju dunia nyata yang sebenarnya. Berdasarkan pengertian serta karakteristik RME, maka RME merupakan suatu pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Mathematics is very important for human life. Mathematics has been taught since elementary school. Even so mathematics remains a subject that is difficult for students to understand. One sub-material that is considered difficult is the story of flow discharge. With this, researchers are interested in conducting research that aims to find out the types of students' errors and the factors that cause errors in grade VI students of SD Negeri 1 Bumirejo in solving the flow discharge story. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and test questions. The subjects of this study were 8 students taken from 33 students in grade VI randomly / Random Sampling. The results of our study indicate that there are 5 types of errors in students, namely (1) reading errors about the problem (2) errors in understanding the problem (3) problem transformation errors (4) process skill errors (5) answers writing errors. Factors that cause student error are students who do not understand the problem, students are less careful and careful in working on the problem and students do not understand some of the meaning of words in the math problem. Therefore we decided to conduct a research entitled "Error Analysis of Students in Grade VI of Bumirejo Elementary School 1 in Completing Flowchart Debit Story Problems".

Abstract

Lack of student interest in literature is due to the low literacy of students. Therefore, one of the ways to improve the students’ literacy and ecological awareness is through children's literature . Hence, Ecoliteration-based children's literature books are considered to be used as learning support books, media as well as sources of learning Bahasa for elementary schools .This study aimed to determine the design of eco-literation-based children's literature models for elementary school students.. This study adopted a development research wich Educational Design Research (EDR) was applied. This study involved lecturers, practitioners/ experts, and elementary school, teachers. The developed book contained some materials namely Bahasa, Science, and Social Sciences for four grade students by proposing a theme of " Peduli Terhadap makhluk Hidup (Caring for Sentient Beings)", added with Basic Competence from 2013 curriculum of Environmental Education lesson (PLH) and eco-literation competencies (Head, Heart, Hands, and Spirit). This study has 3 major findings: (1) the researchers successfully created a eco-literation-based children’s literature model book for elementary school pupils entitled “The Mystery of the Disappearance of A Friend” and “The Mystery of the Butterfly” (2) This study found the suitable characteristics of eco-literation book for Elementary School Students, (3) There are positive response towards these kinds of literature from the experts and the teachers.
