Abstract

In this research action, it aims to determine the increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes in speed material using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The method used in this study is the Pre-Experimental (Pre-Experimental Design) in the form of a Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. The subjects in this study were 5th grade SDN 02 Plesungan, totaling 16 students. The instrument used in this study is 10 multiple choice tests that are integrated with the Google form. This research data uses quantitative data. Quantitative data is in the form of pretest and posttest scores. Data analysis in this study used the Normalized gain or N-gain score test. The results of this study showed that the average pretest score was 60, and after the treatment the average value increased to 98.9. Then further analysis was carried out to produce an N-gain value of 0.98958 and an N-gain (%) of 98%. This shows that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model provides high effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes in mathematics subject matter of speed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase the activity and achievement of learning mathematics for 4 grade students of SD Negeri 1 Kunti with the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model by beach balls. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, namely action research which consists of 2 cycles. The stages of each cycle are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. In the first cycle of learning activities, an average score of 68.92 was obtained. In cycle II it increased to 75.00. The percentage of completeness activities was 70.83%, increasing to 100%. The average student achievement in mathematics increased from 61.54 to 65.00 in the first cycle and 65.59 in the second cycle. These results indicate that the Think Pair Share (TPS) type of cooperative learning model accompanied by Beach Ball can increase the activity and learning achievement of Class IV Mathematics at SD Negeri 1 Kunti.

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the factors that plays a role in achieving success in the learning process. The low motivation of learners is a problem that teachers often encounter in educational activities. The purpose of this study is to explore the potential and effectiveness of problem-based learning in enhancing students' learning motivation in the subject of science. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the problem-based learning model can be applied in teaching the subject of science to enhance students' learning motivation. This can be seen from the characteristics of the Science subject, which emphasizes active involvement of learners in performing process skills. The problem-based learning model provides an opportunity for students to be more active and independent in the learning process. Therefore, the problem-based learning model is worth considering as an innovative and engaging alternative for enhancing students' learning motivation in learning science.

Abstract

The gap in student learning outcomes in the content of Mathematics lessons is caused by the lack of innovative learning models and the lack of relationships between learning materials and real life. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in Mathematics lesson content at the elementary school level. Research is conducted through classroom action research methods in two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: action planning, action execution, observation, and reflection. Each cycle involves pre-test and post-test stages to measure student progress in learning. The results showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics lesson content. In the precycle stage, the average student score was 62 with learning completeness of 40% being in the low category. In cycle I, the average score of students increased to 67.5 which was included in the sufficient category, and in cycle II, there was an average increase to 78 with learning completeness of 92% which was included in the high category. Thus, the effective use of the Problem Based Learning learning model can help improve student learning outcomes in the content of Mathematics lessons at the elementary school level
