Al Munir Journal of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting is open access and peer review of journals published by the Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Program of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, Imam Bonjol Padang State Islamic University (UIN). This journal covers actual issues in Islamic communication studies, including the development of contemporary da'wah by utilizing media, Islamic information systems, rhetoric, literature, and government policies regarding broadcasting and information regulation. The purpose of this journal is to promote sharing of knowledge and understanding of communication issues. Then receive contributions from experts, researchers, practitioners and policy makers throughout the world. This journal is published periodically twice a year, precisely in January - June and July - December.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Instagram is the most accessed social media in Indonesia after whatsapp. This is then used by many Muslim figures as a strategic da'wah path. Not a few of the accounts on Instagram are only focused on discussing da'wah and Islam. One of them is the @thesunnah_path account to be researched. Discussion about digital da'wah is something that needs to be done so that Instagram users or anyone who sees da'wah posts on social media can understand the intentions of admins / content creators. This research uses a descriptive method - analysis by collecting information from primary sources and various secondary sources in order to sharpen ideas. Furthermore, the researcher conducted an analysis of the concept, substance and variety of distribution in related accounts. The conclusion of this world is that digital da'wah in the era of society 5.0 is something that needs to be considered and more encouraged. In addition, there is a need for supervision of related accounts so that there is no spread of hoax or even deviant content. Keyword: Social Media, Instagram, Digital Da'wah, Technology ABSTRAK Instagram adalah media sosial paling banyak diakses di Indonesia setelah whatsapp. Hal ini yang kemudian dijadikan oleh banyak sosok muslim sebagai jalur dakwah yang strategis. Tidak sedikit dari akun di Instagram yang hanya terfokus pada pembahasan dakwah dan islam. Salah satunya adalah akun @thesunnah_path yang akan diteliti. Pembahasan mengenai dakwah digital adalah sesuatu yang perlu dilakukan agar para pengguna Instagram atau siapapun yang melihat postingan dakwah dalam media sosial dapat memahami maksud admin/ konten creator. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif- analisis dengan cara mengumpulkan Informasi dari sumber primer dan berbagai sumber sekunder demi mempertajam gagasan. Selanjutnya peneliti melakukan analisis terhadap konsep, substansi dan ragam pembahsan dalam akun terkait. Adapun kesimpulan dari dunia ini adalah dakwah digital pada era society 5.0 merupakan hal yang perlu diperhatikan dan lebih digalakkan. Selain itu perlu adanya pengawasan terhadap akun akun terkait agar tidak terjadi penyebaran konten hoax atau yang bahkan menyimpang. Kata Kunci: Sosial Media, Instagram, Dakwah Digital, Teknologi

Abstract

This study analyzes player interactions and the reasons for trash-talking in the use of text and voice chat features in the online game Valorant. The background of this research is based on the lack of studies on the differences in the use and impact of text and voice chat, as well as their influence on game dynamics and player behavior. The theory utilized in this research is Computer Mediated Communication (CMC), which highlights how communication through computer media can shape behavior and group dynamics. The research method employed is qualitative analysis with an observational approach and in-depth interviews with active players. The findings indicate that player interactions through text chat are more frequently used for strategic communication, while voice chat is more often employed for quick and intense communication. Trash-talking often occurs as a form of dominance expression, psychological strategy, and emotional reaction to in-game situations. These findings underscore the importance of managing communication in games to create a healthy and positive gaming environment.

Abstract

Social media, particularly Instagram, is used for communication and sharing activities through photos and videos. Additionally, this platform serves to shape self-image and respond to various commnets. For example is @adwindopadang, a group of youth touris ambassadors (Uda Uni Kota Padang) who act as stakeholders in the tourism sector. This research aims to analyze how @adwindopadang builds their self-image through Instagram. The study employs Ferdinand de Saussure’s semiotic theory to understand the meaning construction from the photos and texts posted by the @adwindopadang Instagram. It uses a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data examined includes the photos and descriptions on the account. The research findings indicate that @adwindopadang construct self-image through a combination of verbal and non-verbal messages, reflected in the captions, photography, style, distinctive fashion choices. The conclusion drawn is that the self-image built by @adwindopadang displays characteristics of simplicity, intelligence, humility, modernity, fasion-forwardness, and inspiration, successfully creating a positive image on social media
