Abstract

If $\varrho$ and $H$ are simple, connected, undirected graphs, and $\varrho$ can be covered by an $H$-covering, then for a positive integer $p$, a total $p$-labeling $\varphi$ on $\varrho$ is considered as a total $H$-irregular $p$-labeling if, for every subgraph $K$ of $\varrho$ that is isomorphic to $H$, the weight of $K$ (the sum of the labels of all vertices and edges of $K$) is a unique number. The smallest integer $p$ for which graph $\varrho$ can be labeled with a total $H$-irregular $p$-labeling is called the total $H$-irregularity strength of graph $G$. This paper presents the exact total $H$-irregularity strength values for some particular graphs including balloon graphs, double balloon graphs, and double balloon ladder graphs.

Abstract

This study focuses on forecasting the number of domestic transportation passengers at Juanda International Airport using a time series model by including exogenous variables of calendar variation effects of Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha holidays. Data of the number of domestic passengers at Juanda International Airport from the Statistics Indonesia (BDS) was analyzed for the period January 2014 to May 2024. The models used include Dummy Regression, Trend Regression, ARIMA, SARIMA, ARIMAX, and SARIMAX. The analysis results show that the ARIMAX model produces the most accurate prediction. Juanda Airport passenger data is optimal in the ARIMAX ([1,11],1,1) model with the exogenous variable Eid al-Fitr dummy which produces MAPE:7.49; RMSE: 41,133.26; and MAE: 34.119,06. The results of the analysis show that including exogenous variables in the form of calendar variations in the forecasting model can improve prediction accuracy.

Abstract

This study analyzes disaster dominance patterns in the Riau Islands using a monthly Markov chain model with five states: non hazard (S0), hydrological (S1,flood), geomorphological (S2,landslide), meteorological (S3,extreme weather), and ecological (S4,wildfire) hazard. Based on 2019-2024 data from Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the research quantifies transition probabilities between hazard states and computes steady-state distributions to identify long-term risks. Key findings reveal wildfires dominate the system with 40.6% steady-state probability and high persistence (63% monthly recurrence), reflecting the region’s dry-seasonal vulnerability. Extreme weather and floods show significant but secondary prevalence (24.1% and 12.5%, respectively). Landslides are rare (2.5%) but often escalate to wildfires. The transition matrix highlights wildfire transitions following floods (44.5% probability), suggesting delayed risk cascades. Methodologically, this study advances archipelagic hazard modeling by integrating monthly timesteps and hazard taxonomy, offering granular insights for policymakers. Practical implications include prioritizing peatland restoration, flood-resistant infrastructure, and ASEAN-wide early warning systems to address transboundary haze.

Abstract

One crucial activity for a company’s long-term sustainability is establishing an effective production planning policy. Currently, CV Lembah Melintang relies on consumer demand to determine its production process, which often leads to suboptimal resource utilization. This research aims to develop an optimal production plan using a Multi-Goal Programming (MGP) model to maximize resource use and increase company income. The MGP model, an extension of the goal programming method, allows for multiple objectives by incorporating deviation variables to handle conflicts between goals. In this study, the objectives are: maximizing total production, minimizing production costs, and maximizing profit, subject to relevant resource constraints. Data analysis and computation were carried out using POM-QM v5 software. The results indicate that the production plan successfully met the company’s targets: sales volume was achieved, production costs remained below the target limit of IDR 922,105,662.4, and profit reached the target of IDR 564,080,764 for the 2023 period. The study concludes that the MGP model is an effective decision-support tool for improving production planning policies and aligning multiple strategic goals in manufacturing environments.

Abstract

This work presents the Sharp Hausdorff-Young inequality for the Coupled windowed offset fractional Fourier transform. The coupled windowed offset fractional Fourier transform can be regarded as a generalized version of the fractional windowed Fourier transform. Various properties, including an inversion formula, are studied in detail for the coupled windowed offset fractional Fourier transform. Additionally, relationships with both the two-dimensional Fourier transform and the two-dimensional coupled windowed fractional Fourier transform are also studied.

Abstract

Bullying in schools is a pervasive social issue that negatively affects students' psychological well-being and social development. This study proposes a compartmental mathematical model to describe the dynamics of bullying behavior in a school environment, where the transmission of bullying is influenced by violence-driven interactions among students. The population is divided into four compartments: Susceptible (S), Bullies (B), Exposed (E), and Violent (V). A nonlinear system of differential equations is formulated to represent the transition dynamics between these groups. The model is analyzed to determine equilibrium points and their stability properties. The basic reproduction number R0 is derived to characterize the threshold behavior of bullying spread. The analysis shows that the bullying-free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable when R0 < 1, while the endemic equilibrium exists and is stable when R0 > 1, based on the Routh–Hurwitz Criterion. Numerical simulations are performed to support the analytical findings and illustrate the impact of violence-driven transmission on the spread of bullying behavior.

Abstract

Life expectancy is a crucial indicator of population health and socioeconomic development, and its relationship with explanatory variables often exhibits both linear and nonlinear patterns. This study employs a semiparametric kernel regression approach to model life expectancy in Indonesia by integrating parametric and nonparametric components. Undernutrition is modeled parametrically, while access to improved drinking water and the illiteracy rate are treated as nonparametric predictors to flexibly capture their nonlinear effects. The nonparametric component is estimated using the Nadaraya–Watson kernel estimator, whereas parameter estimation is conducted using the Ordinary Least Squares method. Several kernel functions are evaluated, and the optimal kernel and bandwidth are selected based on the minimum Generalized Cross-Validation (GCV) criterion. The results indicate that the Gaussian kernel with an optimal bandwidth of (100, 100) yields the best performance. The proposed model demonstrates excellent accuracy, with a coefficient of determination of 99.99% and a very low Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). These findings confirm that semiparametric kernel regression is a flexible and reliable method for modeling life expectancy and other public health indicators characterized by complex relationships.

Abstract

Let G be a graph with vertex set V(G) and edge set E(G). Let f be a bijective function from the vertex set V(G) to the set {1,2,3,... ,|V(G)|} and weight of vertex v in V(G) is the sum of labels of all neighbors of vertex v. If there is no pair of vertices of V(G) have equal weight, then f is called a distance antimagic labeling and G is called a distance antimagic graph. Copies of graph G, denoted as nG is disjoint union of n graphs which each is isomorphic to G. In this paper, we present several results on distance antimagic labeling of copies of graph.

Abstract

A coprime edge labeling of a graph is defined as a labeling in which positive integer labels are assigned to each edge of the graph according to certain rules. In this labeling, every pair of edges adjacent to the same vertex must have relatively prime labels, meaning they have no common factors other than one. If the number of labels used is equal to the total number of edges of the graph, this labeling method is designated as a prime edge labeling. In the context of coprime edge labeling, the smallest possible number of labels that allows such a labeling is referred to as the minimum coprime edge number. The present study analyzes prime edge labeling and coprime edge labeling on several special graphs, including tadpoles, combs, disjoint unions of combs, unions of two cycles, disjoint unions of paths, volcano graphs, and regular caterpillars. Furthermore, this study provides precise values for the minimum coprime edge number of the Cn \cup Cm graphs with odd n and m, volcano graphs, and regular caterpillars.

Abstract

Real block skew circulant matrices appear in structured linear systems and signal processing, where their algebraic properties can be exploited to design efficient numerical algorithms. This paper develops a Schur decomposition specifically for real block skew circulant matrices and proves that they can be block diagonalized via an orthogonal similarity transformation constructed from discrete cosine and discrete sine transform matrices. The resulting Schur form consists of low dimensional independent blocks, enabling a fast matrix-vector multiplication scheme based on DCT-DST operations rather than direct computation. A complexity analysis shows that the proposed approach reduces arithmetic cost while preserving numerical stability due to the orthogonality of the transforms. Numerical results validate the theoretical findings and demonstrate the efficiency of the method for large scale problems.
