The contribution of pesantren to the continuity of national life and statehood cannot be calculated with a numerical value. The sacrifice of the kyai as the central leader in the pesantren has also been proven in the history of the nation. During the colonial period carried out by the Dutch colonies and allies, in a period of more than 300 years, the kyai and pesantren appeared with zeal, with the motto of lovng the homeland is part of faith. The struggle of kyai did not stop after independence, so kyai and all pesantren committed to maintaining and filling independence in accordance to the purpose of the founder of the nation. So then it is time for the State to attend to the continuity of the pesantren through the policy of forming law. However, regulations through this law should not be used as a tool for the State to intervene in pesantren. Let the pesantren with their peculiarities continue to carry out all forms of service to the community. This paper is intended to see the views of kyai on Rancangan Undang-Undang (Draft of Law) on Islamic Boarding Schools and Islamic Education. This paper also analyzes using a public policy perspective on the content of draft of law for the Islamic Boarding School and Religious Education.

The political process in Indonesia has experienced reform, and succeeded in overthrowing the political construction of the old regime which was monolithic authoritarian and militaristic while opening the way for the process of democratization and social transformation. Nowadays, the involvement of kyai as an actor in national politics has taken the attention of public and political observers. From the long history of the kyai's political stage, there has been a shift and change in direction, especially the shift from national politics to power politics. Kyai who initially moved on the cultural path, called the cultural broker, in the current political process seemed to be the actor who gave political legitimacy. The line of kyai's struggle began to shift along with political changes in the country. Kyai began to explore the political area of the party with all political maneuvers such as giving support (legitimacy) known as blessing. Politics is profane which necessitates the existence of tendencies, and consequently narrows down vision, mision and advocacy only to certain groups or mass of supporters. Necessarily, the legitimacy of kyai is not obtained through power and political supports but from his attitude and moral actions, in addition to the religious authority. So that going into politics does not further strengthen the prestige and charisma of kyai, but rather politicians’ hegemony kyai.

The purpose of this study is to describe community economic empowerment in developing new tourist destinations based on ecotourism and describe the factors that influence the economic empowerment of the community in developing tourist destinations in Banyuwangi district. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Locations of community economic empowerment research in the development of new ecotourism-based tourist destinations are in the Primitive Village of Purwodadi Village, Gambiran District, Tourism Objects of Pine Mangrove in Temborejo Village, Muncar District and Sumberum Village, Songgon District, Banyuwangi Regency. The research location is the object of research, the research activities carried out were randomly selected. In this study, the sources of research data are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis uses data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing / verification. Broadly speaking, community economic empowerment in the development of new ecotourism-based tourist destinations is carried out by means of; a) The involvement of the community around the new tourist destinations in various types of management and utilization of these destinations b) Strengthening the surrounding human resources as workers with certain criteria and needs c) Providing business space especially small and medium micro businesses in filling the tenants of new tourist destinations. D) Strengthening tourism management by providing sustainable tourism management counseling.

Media and technology take us to an era of information literacy. The pattern of communication and conversation on social media recently tends to provoke, shows the low ethics of Indonesian society in in the public domain communication such as social media. It is undeniable that women also took part as a subject in social media, including the Fatayat group in Situbondo. This study emphasizes the empowerment of social media ethics towards fatayat women in Situbondo through media literacy to fight hoax. It was a qualitative-explorative research by examined how fatayat ethics and behavior in communication through social media and how women are ethically empowered through strengthening knowledge media literacy. Social media in fatayat women live brings and forms a new world in interacting and communicating. Manage contents via Facebook shared and published by fatayat members, making them learn literacy. Recitation as act of worship, according to Amin Syukur is a form of worship of beings, especially humans to Allah with the awareness of remembering Him. Where when remembrance involves between taste and brain simultaneously it will have a very extraordinary effect. The foundation of remembrance of Amen Gratitude is 4: remembrance qauly, zikir qalbi, remembrance of spirit and remembrance fi'ly. There are also 4 benefits of dzikir mentioned by Amin Syukur: (a) establishing faith (b) growing positive moral energy (c) avoiding danger and (d) as mental therapy. The relevance of remembrance with the aim of Islamic education according to Amin Syukur has a very close relationship. Remembrance is a way to make a person become a good, noble human being and of course remember his creation in this world which can lead people to become insan kāmil. Because it integrates the vision of faith, science and humanity where its formation is built through the process of Islamic education. Insan Kāmil without Islamic education will not be able to do the regeneration so that will result in the extinction of oneself (experiencing gaps even the disappearance of cadres who carried out the relay of the struggle of Insan Kāmil). On the contrary Islamic education without Insan Kāmil will not have a thing system that guarantees the birth of educational cadres who can take part in the future progress of life. The results of the research are expected can provide a reference for the education system so need attention for affective and psychomotor domains also.

Islam is a religion that was revealed by the Creator to this world as a blessing for the universe. Islam is a comprehensive religion that regulates all aspects of human life; also the issue of transaction or mu’amalah. The basic concept of Islam in muamalah activities is also very concerned to the values of humanism. One of the schemes of fiqh in Islamic business activities is murâbahah transactions. murâbahah transactions (both gain profit) is one of the practices that many people do. In the perspective of fiqh, murâbahah is one of the forms of buying and selling that are amânah (bay’ al-amânah). Murâbahah is generally different from other forms of buying and selling. This business practice is in great demand by business people, because it has a low level of risk. This transaction is commonly carried out by the Prophet Muhammad, and his companions. This contract known by Islamic financial institutions as al- murâbahah li al-amr bi al-shira’ then in Islamic financial institutions the term transaction becomes a banking product that is attracted by customers. According to the author, this theme is interesting to study because it is currently the most current cases of Islamic banking products. Therefore, this article will discuss the murâbahah and all matters of its discussion, in order to obtain comprehensive knowledge about murâbahah, and be useful both for writers in particular and for readers in general.

Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch office Situbondo has a system for determining the amount of profit sharing ratio in deposit products with terms and conditions of deposits involved of depositing and refunding, bookkeeping, profit sharing, deposit termination, in line with applicable law and jurisdiction. Based on the results of the research, the system of determining the amount of profit sharing ratio on deposit products at Bank Muamalat Indonesia brach office Situbondo uses revenue sharing method. The method is still running in the application of profit sharing to customers which calculated based on the respective portion between depositors and bank. Characteristics of deposit products with the concept of profit sharing at Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch office Situbondo is the percentage ratio, for profit and for loss, collateral, determine the amount of ratio, how to resolve losses.

The world is undergoing rapid and global changes. Therefore, in the era of globalization, quality of human resources is needed. The thing that needs to be considered in improving the quality of madrasas is building a quality culture of madrasas. The headmaster of the madrasah provides an important role in the formation of a strong madrasa culture. This study aims to: (1) Obtain a description of the steps of the headmaster of the madrasah in developing the madrasah quality culture, (2) to know the Quality Culture Reality of Madrasah. This research shows that (a) the head of the madrasah articulates the vision and mission for the effectiveness of his leadership in bringing madrasah to become culturally quality continuously. (b) The head of the madrasah has leadership values that are believed, and then realized into the life of the madrasah organization, and has an impact on efforts to improve the quality culture of madrasah. For the process of developing a quality culture through four phases, they are the preparation phase, the acceptance phase, the implementation phase and the commitment phase.

The curriculum is the intention and hope as outlined in the form of an education plan or program to be carried out by the teacher in the school. Curriculum content is scientific knowledge, including activities and learning experiences arranged according to the level of student development. One of the efforts of curriculum development is by integrating integrative KTSP curriculum. Recently, the integrated integrative KTSP curriculum has become the excellent in each education unit. One of the educational units that applied was SMP 2 Ibrahimy, Sukorejo Situbondo. As an educational unit structurally under the auspices of the National Education Board and culturally under the auspices of the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukorejo Situbondo Islamic Boarding School, SMP 2 Ibrahimy is required to be able to implement KTSP which is integrated between the pesantren curriculum and the national standard curriculum. From this background, SMP Ibrahimy 2 integrated KTSP (general and pesantren) since (2003) until now (2012). To find out the three main points, this research was arranged in 3 (three) formulation of the problem; how is the preparation, implementation, and indication in the success of integrating integrative KTSP in SMP 2 Ibrahimy?

There are many religious practices are found in the construction of fiqh, both ‘ubudiyah (vertical relations) and mu'amalah (horizontal relations), which are the results of the adoption of pre-Islamic Arabic traditions. Hajj, umrah, hadd al-zina and stealing, drinking khamr, qishas, diyat, qasamah and 'aqilah, until slavery and polygamy are examples of Arabic traditions (customary law) which are reformulated in the construction of fiqh. In the science of ushul fiqh, tradition gained attention, and even became one of the sources of Islamic law. In the context of life of nation and state, whatever state provisions can also be accommodated by fiqh. Therefore, customary law and also state law can be accommodated by Islam as long as it does not conflict with Islamic vision. And so, Islam does not become rigid and easily accepted by the people, as preached by the Prophet Muhammad SAW in Arab and Walisongo in Indonesia.
