Abstract

This study aims to describe the contribution of mathematics in the distribution of inheritance rights for adopted children based on Islamic law and state law. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study are inheritance, Islamic law and state law. Then the object of this study is adopted children. The results of this study indicate that the contribution of mathematics to this inheritance right is in the calculation process that applies mathematical modeling to heirs by assuming the variables x, y and z. In addition, it also uses a systematic solution by writing down things that are known and asked, in order to facilitate the process of solving the cases presented. As for the case of the inheritance rights of adopted children, it shows that there is no special inheritance right for adopted children, but according to the compilation of Islamic law, adopted children get 1/3 of the heir's assets as a mandatory will.

Abstract

The debate regarding the relationship between state and religion, particularly in the context of Islam, continues to evolve without an explicit guideline. There are three main schools of thought on the relationship between religion and state: secularistic, integralistic, and symbiotic. The secular approach proposes a separation between religion and state, while the integral approach emphasizes that the state should be governed by Islamic law. On the other hand, the symbiotic approach asserts that religion and state are mutually dependent. KH Afifuddin Muhajir highlights Pancasila as a relevant solution, accommodating Indonesia's diversity while bridging secularism and theocracy. In this context, KH Afifuddin Muhajir explains that the state is not the ultimate goal but rather a means to achieve the well-being of the people and uphold ethical values. This research employs a literature review and interviews with KH Afifuddin Muhajir, analyzing his thoughts and their relevance in the Indonesian socio-political context. The findings show that KH Afifuddin Muhajir thoughts offer a constructive perspective in addressing national challenges in the modern era, making his Fiqh Siyasah discourse highly relevant for further exploration.

Abstract

There are four kinds of teacher competencies as stipulated in Government Regulation (Peraturan Pemerintah) No. 19 2005 on National Education Standard including pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence. These four competencies has been a lot of discussion so they are familiar for teachers. The completely fulfillment of that four competencies in the one figure of teacher is very difficult. So hard to find figure of teacher related to four kinds of competencies, no exception to find figure of Islamic education teacher at State Senior High School 1 Asembagus (SMAN 1 Asembagus). Pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence knotted inside Islamic education teacher at that school. It is recognized by students, teachers, and all employees at that school. This can be done by Islamic education teacher at State Senior High School 1 Asembagus (SMAN 1 Asembagus) because Islamic education teacher at that school is qualified in his/her level of education; he/she has high spirits to develop his/her profession; he/she has religious knowledge has been obtained at the time of studying in boarding school; and he/she has ability to interact with the others to increasing competence.

Abstract

Research and studies around the value of Islamic education are very much carried out. Likewise, research and study of certain cultures and traditions that take place in a certain area. Specific research and studies on the tradition of 'remo' or 'remoh' by Madurese people have also been carried out, both carried out by the Madurese people in various parts of the region and islands in Madura or by Madura communities outside Madura such as in Java, Kalimantan, and others. From the research and studies, it was found that there were doubts, biases, and inconsistencies in the values of Islamic education that were used as a perspective by the authors, even though the 'remo' tradition that was studied had many positive values that should be known by the public and maintained as a very valuable identity. Therefore, this research is focused on the reconceptualization of Islamic educational values based on the genealogy of thought that develops over time, and the 'remo' tradition based on the values of Islamic education. To reveal this, qualitative research was used using interview, documentation, and observation techniques on the literature on the value of Islamic education and the dimensions of Islam itself as well as real practices about the 'remo' tradition that took place in the village of Banmaleng, Giliraja, Sumenep. This research shows that: First, the classification of Islamic educational values is genealogical in the study of the Islamic dimension which is said to be Syaltut and Khallaf which in recent times has experienced a disconnection in the chain of development studies so that the Islamic educational values that have been widely circulated lately seem to jump from the Islamic dimension that has been introduced by previous experts; Second, there are nine values of Islamic education in the 'remo' tradition and are dominated by values with a moral dimension between fellow citizens.

Abstract

The development of online lending platforms in the modern era presents both financial opportunities and ethical challenges. While offering quick and easily accessible financial assistance, many online lending services are entangled in exploitative practices similar to usury (interest), which is strictly prohibited in Islam. This study examines the verses of the Al-Qur'an related to usury, particularly QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 275–279, to evaluate the validity of online lending from an Islamic ethical perspective. This research employs a qualitative approach with content analysis of classical and contemporary exegetical literature. The results indicate that while online lending can address practical needs in modern society, its validity depends on whether it adheres to principles of justice, transparency, and the avoidance of exploitation. As a solution, this study proposes a Sharia-compliant digital financing system based on qard hasan (benevolent loan) or mudharabah/murabahah contracts. These models ensure that financial services remain affordable while adhering to ethical and religious standards. The article concludes that online lending is not inherently prohibited, but must be regulated and redesigned under the guidance of the Qur'an to protect the dignity and financial well-being of society in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of Faraidh science on improving problem-solving skills among Ma'had Aly students, with a focus on their mathematical abilities. This type of research employs mixed-methods research with a convergent parallel design. The subjects in this study were 30 Ma'had Aly students’. The quantitative data collection technique utilised a mathematical ability test instrument, while qualitative data were obtained through class observations and interviews. The data analysis technique for quantitative research utilizes an instrument test in the form of descriptive statistics and ANOVA tests, while the data analysis technique for qualitative research employs the Miles and Huberman theory, which includes three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The quantitative results show that the average score of mathematical ability for students is 76.30, with a standard deviation of 6.686. The results of the ANOVA test indicate an F-value of 78.562, with a significance level of p = 0.000. Qualitative data support this finding by showing that contextual and applicable Faraidh science learning improves students' motivation and numeracy skills. This finding confirms that Faraidh science is not only a Sharia science but also serves as an effective medium in developing the mathematical abilities of students. Recommendations for developing more integrative learning methods are presented to optimise learning outcomes.
