Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan pada perusahaan percetakan dengan objek penelitian yaitu kemasan food pail. Berdasarkan hasil studi lapangan, teridentifikasi pemborosan defect, overproduction, dan transportation yang terjadi pada departemen produksi. Berdasarkan rata-rata persentase defect selama 7 bulan terakhir, diketahui persentase defect kemasan food pail sebesar 9,56%. Tahapan penelitian menggunakan prinsip DMAIC. Tahap define menggunakan metode diagram SIPOC dan CTQ. Pada tahap measure menggunakan WAM untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan yang terjadi melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Berdasarkan perhitungan tahap measure, diketahui bahwa tingkat efisiensi perusahaan saat ini sebesar 29,07%. Tingkat kualitas yang ditunjukkan dalam nilai sigma sebesar 3,62 dan nilai DPMO sebesar 15.719 produk. Setelah mengetahui kondisi perusahaan, penelitian dilanjutkan dengan melakukan analisis penyebab. Analisis penyebab menggunakan fishbone diagram, dan failure mode and effect analysis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diberikan usulan perbaikan dalam tahapan proses produksi kemasan food pail. Penelitian dilanjutkan pada tahap terakhir yaitu pengendalian, dimana tahap melakukan perhitungan kembali untuk memonitor kondisi perusahaan setelah dilakukan implementasi perbaikan. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan nilai process cycle efficiency menjadi 32,48%. Selain itu, peningkatan tingkat sigma menjadi 3,9 dan penurunan nilai defect per million opportunities sebesar 8.262 produk. Hal ini menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan nilai efisiensi sebesar 3,41%, nilai sigma sebesar 0,28, dan penurunan DPMO sebesar 8.551 produk

Abstract

CV. ADSM adalah perusahaan swasta yang bergerak di bidang impor dan distribusi produk suplemen makanan yang berasal dari Amerika Serikat. Dengan mendistribusikan produk ke lebih dari 100 outlet di Jakarta, sangat penting untuk memastikan kepuasan akan layanan pengiriman. Penelitian diawali dengan wawancara langsung kepada pihak perusahaan untuk mengetahui permasalahan sistem pengiriman produk. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, ditemukan banyaknya produk yang diretur, pengiriman produk yang terlewat, dan biaya pengiriman yang cukup besar. Selanjutnya dilakukan identifikasi KPI berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu delivery performance, perfect order fulfillment, dan transportation cost as percentage of revenue. Penelitian dilanjutkan dengan pengumpulan data jumlah pengiriman, retur, pengiriman terlewat, dan rata-rata biaya akomodasi pengiriman per bulan. Semua data yang terkumpul akan melalui uji normalitas dan uji korelasi. Data yang lolos uji akan melalui tahap perhitungan kapabilitas proses dan peta kendali untuk mengetahui kinerja dari KPI. Dengan target perusahaan yang ditetapkan sebesar 95%, maka terdapat sejumlah data outlier yang menandakan adanya kinerja pengiriman yang kurang optimal. Dengan analisis 5 why, maka dapat diketahui penyebab kurang optimalnya kinerja pengiriman diakibatkan oleh perusahaan yang tidak mengetahui flow penjualan di setiap outlet. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, diharapkan perusahaan dapat menjaga kualitas pengiriman berdasarkan aspek kunci yang dapat mewakili seluruh proses dan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan.

Abstract

Learning Management System (LMS) yang menjawab kebutuhan sekolah menjadi masalah utama yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini, karena banyak sekolah mengaku sudah memiliki LMS tetapi LMS itu sulit untuk diimplementasikan, serta tidak sesuai dengan karakter siswa yang menjadi generasi kekinian. Tujuan penelitian ini terkait dengan pengumpulan data mengenai LMS apa yang dibutuhkan sekolah, upaya membuat LMS yang menjawab kebutuhan siswa, orangtua, guru, dan sekolah, serta umpan balik terhadap LMS yang sudah dihasilkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode neuroresearch yang menggabungkan model kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan tiga tahap, yakni: eksploratori, eksplanatori, dan konfirmasi. Peneliti menggali informasi terkait model LMS yang dibutuhkan (eksploratori), membuat LMS sesuai kebutuhan (eksplanatori), dan menggali umpan balik dari pengguna (konfirmasi). Hasil penelitian ini berupa data terkait model LMS yang dibutuhkan sekolah, pembuatan LMS yang sesuai dengan model yang dibutuhkan sekolah, serta respon pengguna bahwa LMS yang mereka gunakan sudah menjawab kebutuhan, berguna dan mudah diimplementasikan, terintegrasi, dengan fitur yang cukup lengkap.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the actual business process applied in the Capital Investment Agency and One-Stop Licensing Centre of Aceh Province, mainly on issuing a fishery business permit. The institution has established 240 working hours (equivalent to 14,400 minutes) to issue the permit based on the SOP (standard operating procedures). However, a field observation showed that the actual process time exceed up to 600 hours (equivalent to 37,104 minutes). To investigate the gap and analyse the business process activities, this study employs Business Process Improvement (BPI) which consists of phase 1: organizing for improvement, phase 2: understanding the process, and phase 3: streamlining. This study occupies Bizagi Modeler to build and simulate a systematic business process model according to Business Process Modelling and Notation (BPMN). Based on the simulation process, the actual business process resulted 110 activities with total time 37,104 minutes, while the redesign model resulted 72 activities with total time 197.25 working hours (equivalent to 11,835 minutes). The redesign model further measured using devil’s quadrangle and obtained 68.11% efficiency. The efficiency aligns with better flexibility and service quality improvement.

Abstract

PT. Citra Van Titipan Kilat (TIKI) Catama Jogja is a service company of shipping goods. TIKI applies the principle that the company's success is measured by the perfection of serving customers and the level of Service Level Agreement it has. The problem in this company is the SLA value that is owned is 77.29%, not in accordance with the company's target of 90-95%. This research was conducted to determine what kind of waste is happening, why waste can occur, and how to reduce waste during the service process. The method used in this study is lean service, which is a work methodology that is applied in service companies in order to produce value according to the wishes of consumers by eliminating existing waste. The tools used are VSMS and VALSAT. Selected tools based on VALSAT calculations are PAM and SCRM. Waste that has been identified were waiting, transportation, error, overprocessing, and movement. The proposed improvement plan by reducing the waste that occurs gives the result that the required processing time has decreased by 14.48% or initially 794 sec to 679 sec.

Abstract

The flexural strength comparasion of epoxy matrix composite with diferent reinforcement . Composite is a combination of two or more materials that have good physical properties and good mechanical properties. Reinforcement materials commonly used in polymer composites are fibers and strips material, bamboo fiber,carbon, PALF and malva fiber are  used as reinforcement materials and epoxy resin polymer used as matrix. The research phase began with finding the journal which explain about flexural strength in a composite that using epoxy resin as matrix. The composite manufacturing process uses the hand lay-up method. The flexural strengths data will be compare and analized. The mechanical properties tested used flexural test with ISO 14125:1998 Fibre-reinforced plastic composites – Determination of flexural properties and ASTM D790/D790M-17 “Standard Test Methods for Flexural Properties of Unreinforced and Reinforced Plastics and Electrical Insulating Materials”.The strongest reinforcement is carbon with 475,27 MPa, second is malva’s fiber 214,00 MPa, third is PALF 103,25 MPa, the last one is bamboo 80,30 MPa.

Abstract

Economic growth based on economic sharing encourages e-commerce transactions to increase. Along with this, the need for an effective distribution process is also increasing, in order to fulfill orders quickly and accurately. This study was conducted on the logistics department at one of the retail companies providing electronic equipments and accessories. Preliminary observations indicate the high level of overtime experienced by employees in the logistics department, as well as the high rate of errors in delivery of ordered products, which results in high complaints from customers. The aim of the study is to evaluate the performance of the order picking process that is currently being carried out by the company, and to formulate a suitable approach to be applied by the company. The research was conducted with a discrete simulation approach, using Flexsim v2022. Modeling begins with creating entities according to the actual warehouse specifications. After that, the model is developed by determining the process flow or simulation flow, by entering parameters such as the number of orders, time, and shelf location. The simulation results show that the current wave picking approach is not optimal. The simulation shows that the sequential zone picking strategy is estimated to result in a decrease in the time of order pickings and the distance experienced by the officers, so that it can be a strategy that can reduce the rate of overtime and errors in order pickings.

Abstract

A manufacturing company in Indonesia creates sports shoes under the particular brand is still having trouble with a number of issues, including late raw material deliveries from suppliers, production that falls short of expectations, and delayed product delivery to customers. The performance of the supply chain must therefore be measured. The study assesses the importance of supply chain performance within the organization and offer recommendations for improvement to raise supply chain performance within the organization. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) 12.0 are used to gauge supply chain performance. The outcomes revealed that supply chain performance’s value at 77,539. Improvements are required to increase the company's supply chain performance because three KPIs have low weights, the percentage of orders for raw materials that are delivered on time, the price of purchasing raw materials, and the cost of returning item. Corrective actions carried out by the company include arranging materials neatly in the warehouse, providing sufficient lighting, maintaining air humidity, keeping hands clean when holding shoes, checking glue on the upper shoes so that open bonding does not occur, giving penalties to suppliers who are late, and giving training to reduce material damage.

Abstract

Every company must have a good supply chain flow to support the company's development. A series of complex supply chain processes makes business processes unavoidable from risks that have a negative impact. Some risk events that are often found include the inability of suppliers to fulfill orders on the specified date, problems experienced by machines, and others. To overcome the risks that arise, it is necessary to manage supply chain risk management using the House of Risk (HOR) approach. The HOR method consists of 2 phases, HOR phase 1 focuses on risk events and priority handling of risk sources (risk agents) that will be subject to risk mitigation assistance measures to deal with negative pathways from these risks. While HOR phase 2 focuses on designing mitigation actions that will be applied to companies to deal with the negative impacts of risks and prevent risks from happening again. The results of the study showed that there were 47 risk events and 48 risk agents with 2 priority risk agents. Thus, 8 risk mitigation action strategies and 3 priority risk mitigation action strategies have been set to mitigate the existing risk agents.

Abstract

PT. Alpha Jaya Manunggal Mandiri is manufacturing company engaged in furniture sector. There are several problems with old layout such high material handling costs, long distances between work stations, and alternating flow. Therefore, relayout and lean manufacturing approach were carried out. Alternative layouts made using SLP method, and CORELAP. The initial steps in making alternative layouts are measuring floor area, making production flows, and measuring production standard times. Next step is forecasting product demand for next 10 years for routing sheet. Routing sheet used to determine number of machines needed to meetproduct demand. Alternative layout was created using 2 methods. Based on alternative layout, material handling costs and moving moments are calculated to find layout with minimum material handling costs and moving moments moments. The selected layout is alternative layout SLP method cause it reduces material handling costs by 50.12%, moving moments by 17.86%, and distance by 53.42%. Then lean manufacturing approach carried out to increase productivity. A simulation was carried out with Promodel and Flexsim software to simulate new and old layout to find product improvements using new layout. Based on Promodel simulation, there was decrease in the average time in system by 21.82%, decrease in the average time in operation by 22.36%, and increase in total production by 15.29%. Based on Flexsim simulation, there was increase in amount of daily production by 58.52%, and decrease in staytime by 33.47% per product. Through research, it can be concluded that layout can be implemented as new layout on springbed production floor.
