Abstract

The Community Control Unit (Unit Pengendalian Masyarakat/Dalmas) of the East Kalimantan Police Samapta Directorate often has to face demonstrations that lead to chaos in carrying out its duties. The role of maintaining social order during demonstrations results in psychological pressure for police officers, which can lead to low levels of work satisfaction. This study aims to examine the factors (leadership, work stress, and work environment) that influence the work satisfaction of police personnel. This study used a quantitative survey method of 190 personnel in the Dalmas unit of the Samapta Directorate of East Kalimantan Police. The research found that leadership and work environment variables did not have a significant influence on work satisfaction in the Dalmas unit of the Directorate of Samapta Polda East Kalimantan. Meanwhile, the work stress variable has a negative and significant influence on work satisfaction in the Dalmas unit of the Directorate of Samapta Polda East Kalimantan, so that the higher the work stress, the lower the work satisfaction. And vice versa. These findings prompted the Dalmas leadership of the East Kalimantan Police Samapta Directorate to pay more attention to the psychological condition of police personnel. This is because work-related stress and pressures in carrying out work not only have an impact on work satisfaction, but can interfere with work performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Woman On Board Of Commissioners, Woman On Board Of Directors, Company Size and Political Connections on Corporate Bankruptcy. The data used in this study are the annual financial reports of agricultural sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020-2023. This type of research is quantitative research. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling method and resulted in 38 company samples with the total sample data obtained 118 samples from 4 years of research. The research data analysis method used is descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. With the test tools used are the classic assumption test, the coefficient of determination (R2) test, the F test, and the t test. The results showed that women on board of commissioners, women on board of directors and political connections had a significant and negative effect on corporate bankruptcy. As for company size, it has a significant and positive effect on corporate bankruptcy. Researchers suggest for further research to be able to increase the research sample and to be able to add or change independent variables that have not been analyzed in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Sales Growth (SG) on Earnings Management in selected companies. The findings indicate that ROA has a significant negative effect on Earnings Management, suggesting that companies with higher financial performance tend to reduce earnings manipulation due to increased investor trust in transparent financial reporting. In contrast, DER shows no significant effect, implying that changes in capital structure or leverage levels do not significantly impact earnings management practices. Meanwhile, SG has a significant positive effect, indicating that companies with higher sales growth are more likely to engage in earnings management, potentially to maintain a positive corporate image and attract investors. Overall, the regression model explains 35.1% of the variation in Earnings Management, demonstrating that financial performance factors, particularly ROA and SG, play a crucial role in shaping earnings management practices. The model is statistically significant, as indicated by the F-statistic with a high level of significance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of Leadership, Communication, and Motivation on Employee Job Satisfaction in the Tirta Manuntung Balikpapan Regional Public Company. The type of research used is quantitative research. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling with a sample of 104 permanent employees at the Tirta Manuntung Balikpapan Regional Public Company. The data collection method was carried out by field observation and questionnaire distribution. This research uses SmartPLS in processing data. The results of this study show that the leadership variable has no partial effect on employee job satisfaction at the Tirta Manuntung Balikpapan Regional Public Company, the communication variable has no partial effect on the employee job satisfaction of the Tirta Manuntung Balikpapan Regional Public Company, and the motivation variable has a partial effect on the job satisfaction of employees of the Tirta Manuntung Balikpapan Regional Public Company.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline, motivation and work environment on employee job satisfaction at Royal Suite Hotel Balikpapan City. Population and sample in this research are 41 employees of Royal Suite Hotel Balikpapan City. By using total/census sampling technique so that the sample used is 41 respondents. Data collection method is done by distributing questionnaires. This research uses SmartPLS in managing data. The result of this research shows that Work Discipline variable has no effect on Job Satisfaction of Royal Suite Hotel Balikpapan City Employees. Motivation variable affects Job Satisfaction of Royal Suite Hotel Balikpapan City employees. Work Environment variable affects Job Satisfaction of Royal Suite Hotel Balikpapan City Employees.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena peran ganda mahasiswa IAIN Parepare yang bekerja sebagai kurir hilo dalam upaya meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga. Di era digital, transportasi daring menjadi peluang ekonomi yang diminati mahasiswa karena fleksibilitas waktu yang memungkinkan penyesuaian dengan jadwal perkuliahan. Namun, menjalankan tanggung jawab akademik sekaligus profesional menimbulkan tantangan berupa konflik peran ganda (work-study conflict). Ketidakseimbangan dalam mengelola kedua peran ini berpotensi memicu stres, kelelahan fisik (burnout), serta penurunan prestasi akademik. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, melalui wawancara terhadap mahasiswa yang mengalami kendala dalam pembagian waktu dan fokus belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pekerjaan sebagai kurir tidak hanya membantu mahasiswa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pribadi, tetapi juga berkontribusi dalam mengurangi beban ekonomi orang tua, khususnya dalam pembiayaan pendidikan dan kebutuhan sehari-hari. Selain itu, kesejahteraan mahasiswa pekerja tidak hanya diukur dari aspek finansial, tetapi juga dari keseimbangan psikologis dan keberhasilan akademik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan perlunya dukungan dari pihak perguruan tinggi bagi mahasiswa pekerja agar mereka dapat menjalankan peran ekonomi dan akademik secara harmonis tanpa mengorbankan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya profitabilitas dalam menilai kinerjaperbankan syariah, khususnya Bank Syariah Indonesia yang mengalami fluktuasi Returnon Assets (ROA) pasca-merger. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruhCapital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) dan Non Performing Financing (NPF) terhadapprofitabilitas yang diproksikan dengan ROA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalahpendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif, menggunakan data sekunderberupa laporan keuangan triwulanan Bank Syariah Indonesia periode 2021–2025 yangdianalisis dengan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secaraparsial CAR tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ROA, sedangkan NPF berpengaruhnegatif dan signifikan terhadap ROA. Secara simultan, CAR dan NPF berpengaruhsignifikan terhadap ROA dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 88,4%. Hal inimenunjukkan bahwa kualitas pembiayaan memiliki peran yang lebih dominandibandingkan kecukupan modal dalam menentukan profitabilitas bank. Kesimpulanpenelitian ini adalah bahwa pengendalian pembiayaan bermasalah menjadi faktor kuncidalam meningkatkan kinerja keuangan bank syariah. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agarBank Syariah Indonesia lebih meningkatkan manajemen risiko pembiayaan sertamengoptimalkan pemanfaatan modal untuk mendukung peningkatan profitabilitas secaraberkelanjutan

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Current Ratio (CR), and Inventory Turnover (ITO) on Profitability in the Food and Beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2021-2024. Sampling in this study used purposive sampling, while the data analysis applied was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has a significant effect on Profitability, the Current Ratio (CR) also has a significant effect on Profitability, while Inventory Turnover (ITO) does not show a significant effect on Profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of capital structure, investment opportunity set and information asymmetry on profit quality. The independent variable consists of capital structure, investment opportunity set and information asymmetry, while the dependent variable is profit quality. The population in this study was 183 manufacturing entities. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The research sample was 40 samples. The analysis tool uses multiple linear regression analysis method. The results showed that capital structure has an influence on profit quality, the investment opportunity set has no effect on profit quality and information asymmetry has an influence on profit quality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan laba dengan menggunakan analisis Cost-Volume-Profit (CVP) pada RS. Restu Ibu Balikpapan, jumlah volume tindakan jasa yang harus diupayakan oleh RS. Restu Ibu Balikpapan agar dapat mencapai titik impas atau Break Even Point (BEP), dan tingkat penjualan minimal perusahaan agar tidak menderita kerugian. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi lalu diolah guna mendapatkan jawaban mengacu pada rumusan masalah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode regresi kuadrat terkecil dengan bantuan program Microsoft Excel untuk melakukan pemisahan biaya semivariabel menjadi biaya tetap dan biaya variabel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa RS. Restu Ibu Balikpapan pada tahun 2020 mengalami penurunan laba dari tahun sebelumnya di 2019 akibat dampak pandemi Covid-19 dan penurunan kunjungan pasien. Serta dari hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan dari laba yang direncanakan pada tahun 2019 dan 2020 jauh lebih besar laba yang terealisasi setelah adanya penyesuaian strategi manajemen. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa RS. Restu Ibu Balikpapan mampu menutupi seluruh biaya operasional yang timbul.
