Abstract

This article results from field research on the Pura Kerta Negara Gambur Anglayang in the Kubuaddan Traditional Village, Buleleng, Bali. This research aims to reveal the background of the use of the names Ratu Subandar, Mecca, Melayu, and Sundawan as names for the shrines or pelinggih at the temple. This research uses a qualitative approach in the form of historical and cultural research. The theoretical approach used is cultural materialism. The research results show that the use of the names Ratu Subandar, Mecca, Melayu, and Sudawan is related to the location of the temple, which was previously a port called Tabanding. This port was busy with Chinese, Mecca (Arab), Malay and Sundanese traders. The Chinese also played an important role as subandars. The diversity of merchant visits gave rise to a multicultural social structure based on trade-economic infrastructure. This forms an ideological superstructure, namely the belief in gods, also characterised by diversity. This pattern also follows pantheistic theology in Hinduism, which emphasises that a transcendental God can be immanenced by natural phenomena. This belief causes natural phenomena that have the potential to provide prosperity to be personified by gods. The Balinese accept it because it also fits the image of the god as the personification of God to provide prosperity to humans.

Abstract

Education does not only focus on developing cognitive aspects, but also needs to be directed at improving affective aspects. Collaboration as a form of affective aspect of students needs to continue to be developed so that it will be able to produce people who have an understanding of the importance of working together and the other impacts it has. However, there is still a reluctance among students to complete assignments together, and even tend to do it independently, even though it is a group assignment. The importance of cooperation for students makes teachers gives pressure for emphasis on the cooperation aspect in classroom learning by implementing learning methods that lead to the development of cooperation skills, including by implementing the Number Heads Together (NHT) type cooperative model. Analysis of research data shows that the application of the NHT model in learning can increase student collaboration. This can be seen from the increase in the total average score from cycle I of 74, increasing to 82.5 in cycle II and being in the Very Good category.

Abstract

Every human being needs a safe, peaceful and peaceful life. This will be possible if everyone is able to look after each other. Maintaining a harmonious relationship with God, maintaining a harmonious relationship with fellow humans and a harmonious relationship with the natural environment. In Hinduism, these three relationships are called Tri Hita Karana, namely the three causes of happiness. Understanding and implementing these three concepts needs to be done as early as possible, considering the negative impacts of technological developments that cannot be avoided. Students at SMPN 1 Balai Riam have a sufficient understanding of the Tri Hita Karana concept. You already have a good understanding of the concepts of parhyangan, pawongan and palemahan. Abstract

Hindu religious education must be taught to become a guide to life that contains many values ​​and norms that will help people live in all things, including their relationship with Sang Hyang Widhi, fellow humans, and their environment. Menyama braya, meaning "brother", is a well-known social value system in Hindu Bali. The concept of equaling braya is a strong foundation in building harmony and implementing respect between religious communities. This research uses a purposive technique, which means that subjects are selected based on research objectives so that informants can provide the necessary information and aim to obtain the necessary and valid information. Data collection in this research refers to the principle that the researcher is the main tool for conducting research which is used objectively and in accordance with the research objectives. Researchers will also collect data through interviews, observation and documentation with appropriate methods, researchers can obtain accurate results and can help in decision making or policy making in the future. In this research, to analyze Menyama Braya in Balinese Society, perfect Hindu Religious Education in its analysis discusses Menyama Braya in the Balinese Community, namely building social harmony and togetherness between fellow citizens in society. There are many religious and cultural values ​​contained in this tradition, especially in relation to Hindu religious education. The function of Hindu religious education is in the menyama braya tradition in the Balinese community which emphasizes building togetherness, developing local culture and traditions, fostering harmony. The Value of Hindu Religious Education in Embracing Braya in the Balinese Community. The value of Hindu religious education plays an important role in preserving and strengthening the concept of Menyama Braya in Balinese society. These religious values ​​emphasize the importance of unlimited brotherhood, helping each other and maintaining balance, respect, and commitment to environmental cleanliness.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this writing is to examine the existence of local culture in character education during the era of modernization. Character education is a matter of utmost urgency and importance for the younger generation in the midst of increasingly sophisticated technological advancements. This progress not only brings positive influences but also negative ones, such as the erosion of the nation's moral values due to the influence of foreign cultures that may not align with the nation's noble values. To fortify the younger generation against various negative impacts of technological progress, local culture, as one of the systems of values growing and evolving within a society based on religious teachings, morality, and intergenerational experiences, is crucial as a moral foundation in shaping the character of the nation's children. This aims to cultivate a young generation with noble behavior, integrity, religious values, and empathy towards various issues in their surrounding environment. Abstract

This research aims to determine the character education values in Slokantara’s book. This research conduct with qualitative method. The data source was obtained through literature study. The Slokantara book was used as primary literature which is supported by other Hindu literary sources. The research results show that there are religious, honesty, hard work, communicative/friendly, love of peace, responsibility and social care in the Slokantara book. The character education values ​​in the Slokantara book can be used as a reference in the early childhood education process for the formation of strong children. The process of internalizing character education values ​​can be carried out using various methods, including storytelling, field trips, role playing and experiments. Every child is expected to receive the best education process from family, school and society in order to create a person with good character.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to analyze the implementation of Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning (PAIKEM) strategies in increasing the motivation of students in Pasraman Samiaga. Pasraman is a Hindu educational institution that has a crucial role in realizing a moral and intellectual young generation. However, monotonous learning, multi-grade learning system, lack of use of technology, and the gap between the material needed and received are some of the things that affect sisya's learning motivation. As one of the acarya's efforts in Pasraman Samiaga is to implement the PAIKEM strategy. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through non-participant direct observation, direct unstructured interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis in this study was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of data analysis show that the implementation of Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning (PAIKEM) strategies in Pasraman Samiaga can increase student learning motivation. This can be seen from the increase in enthusiasm for learning, students do not feel pressured or tense, students are encouraged to be active and not bored, students are motivated to study harder, students ask teachers or friends when there is material that they do not understand, realize the importance of learning, and believe that the efforts made will not be lost. Abstract

Peran Catur Guru sangat menentukan keberhasilan Pendidikan Agama Hindu di SMPN 1 Permata Kecubung. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu di SMPN 1 Permata Kecubung juga memerlukan peran serta pemangku kebijakan agar dapat memenuhi segala sarana dan prasarana yang dapat menunjang terlaksananya pembelajaran yang ideal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan format deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi Catur Guru dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu di SMPN 1 Permata Kecubung. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa kontribusi Guru Swadyaya yaitu peserta didik yakin dan percaya bahwa segala potensi yang ada dalam dirinya sebagai modal utama untuk mengikuti proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu merupakan anugerah yang datangnya dari Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa. Kontribusi guru rupaka yaitu orang tua belum memberikan kontribusi yang optimal dalam upaya mendukung tercapainya tujuan Pendidikan Agama Hindu. Guru Wisesa, telah memberikan kontribusi yang optimal dalam mendukung pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Hindu dengan kebijakan yang diambil oleh pemerintah daerah, pemerintah pusat dan sekolah. Guru pengajian berperan dengan melaksanakan tugas pokoknya yaitu merencanakan, melaksanakan, menilai hasil belajar atau bimbingan dan melaksanakan tugas tambahan.

Abstract

This research is based on the lack of students' ability to express opinions, especially in Hindu religious education subjects in elementary schools. The aim of this research is to measure the level of effectiveness of the Inside-Outside-Circle (IOC) method in improving students' communication skills. This research is classified as experimental research with pre test post test group design. Communication skills are measured by three indicators, namely Expressing Opinions, Arguing, and Listening. The research results show that the IOC method as a whole is considered effective, with a total N-Gain value of 77.15. In the indicator of conveying opinions, this method produces an N-Gain of 80.08 which is included in the effective category, while for listening it reaches an N-Gain of 77.78, also in the effective category. Although the argued indicator shows quite good improvement with an N-Gain of 73.61, it is in the moderately effective category, which indicates the need for further development. Overall, the IOC method is considered successful in improving students' communication skills, both in expressing opinions, listening and arguing, and can be recommended as an effective method in learning Hindu Religious Education in Elementary Schools.
