Learning English is important in this era. English as an international language will be used globally to build up the relation and connection with the other countries. English has a lot of grammar elements that are very important to note in order to be used appropriately. In Indonesian, we do not know so many grammatical elements so that when learning English mistakes in grammar are common. It also becomes very critical if English learners cannot distinguish every word or sentence that is heard through movie or music. This research is a descriptive research. In this research, the data is a kind of text, thus the writer uses the documentation technique. The steps of doing this research are: Identifying, Classifying, Interpreting, Describing, and Concluding: the writer finds the conclusion and gives the suggestions. The result of this research, there are several grammatical errors in songs such as Conditional Sentence, Subject-Verb Agreement, Pronoun, Negator and Auxiliary Verbs.

The objective of this research is to describe whether or not fishbowl technique can improve students’ speaking of tenth grade of IPS 1 in SMA N 2 Sorong Regency. In this study, the researcher conducted the quantitative research using the method pre-experimental design type of the one group pre-test. Therefore, the researcher took 30 students as the sample from the population. The researcher used SPSS Analysis Version 20.0, the researcher gave the interpretation towards “t” score by comparing t-value with t-table. The researcher interpretation that t-value is 3.048 with the significance value is 0.05. The score of t-table is 2.045 with the significance level of 0.05 with df 29. P-value is 0.0005 < 0.05, it is known that t-value > t-table ( 3.048 > 2.045 ). Meanwhile, the alternative (H1) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It means that using fishbowl technique can improve students speaking skill at the tenth of SMAN 2 Sorong Regency. But this technique is not effective towards students’ speaking skill, because it is not achieve score of KKM that is > 68.

This study was conducted to find out how the students' perceptions on English teachers. The problem focuses on students' perceptions of the teacher's learning methods while learning the learning takes place, and an effective learning process with student learning outcomes gained. In this study the authors take respondents to get data that is as much as 4 respondents, where the one respondent is an English teacher and 3 other respondents are students. Researchers conducted interviews on each respondent. In this case, the teacher to know the methods used in the learning process and the students to know how performance teacher in the learning process. The method used in this research is descriptive design. This study reveals that teachers' performance in English learning is good, where teachers can apply motivation of students learning, learning model, classroom management, use of facilities, and student experience well. And for the learning method, the teacher does not use special methods in the learning process, but the teacher learning model is applied more to adaptation to the material taught to students. Nevertheless, the teacher will improve the methods in learning and innovate for the success of the learning process.

This research aimed to determine the improving of students' comprehension in reading English textbook (e-book) through SQ3R at Communication Science Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Buton. This research was classroom action research. Respondence of this research are 28 students in class B odd semester of 2018/2019 of academic year. The results of this research was to increase reading comprehension of English-language e-book was not too big. This is shown in the written test evaluation results in the second cycle, 5 students got a score of 82 and 5 students got a score of 28 students, and the average value is 66.25 Then, the SQ3R method can not only improve the ability to understand reading, but, the ability to read verbally where students have the opportunity to correct their reading. This is shown by the results of the second cycle evaluation, where 7 students got a score of 80, 6 students got score of 78 and 7 students got score of 75 of 28 students, and the average value was 72,60714286.

This study focuses on the qualitative study of Error Correction in writing provided by teachers who teach in urban and rural areas especially in Junior High School. Thus, the present study aims to investigate English teachers’ views of error correction in their writing classes, reasons and types of errors that they correct and their error correction strategies. The samples in this study are two teachers who teach in urban Junior High School and rural Junior High School. The data collection instrument is semi-structure interview. The results showed that EFL teachers believe that learners’ error should be corrected. They also believe that when students doing writing practice, teachers have to give feedback, or correction. The purpose of the correction is to make the students aware of their writing mistakes and how to correct them; thus, they would not make the same mistakes in the future. There are not differences between the learners in the urban and rural areas. The study concludes that teachers focus on repetitious errors made by learners. The teachers believe that they should concentrate on the errors that directly distort meaning, even though it’s only a typo; the teacher also should correct the students’ tasks.

This study conducted to describe the competence of novice teacher in speaking class. The method of this research is qualitative methods. The sample of this research used two novice teachers. In collecting data, the researcher uses observation and interview. The researcher did observation with several techniques, the first is joining the class then giving a checklist on the observation paper based on the situation in the class. The researcher recorded the interview data. The result of this research shows that the competence of novice teacher is good, because she has four teacher competence. The first competence is pedagogic competence because the novice teacher has ability to manage the teaching and learning process. She can make the student to understand what she said in front of the class. The novice teacher can take the action to improve the quality of reflective learning. The second competence is personality competence, she has a wise and stable personality. She has a good personality as a teacher, as measured by indicators show independence in acting as educators and have a work ethic as an educator. The third competence is professional competence, she has the ability of professionals to be possessed teacher in the learning process, because she can be controlling the material, managing learning programs, managing the classroom, using a media source, mastering the foundations of education, and managing the interaction of learning teaching. The last competence is social competence and she is good in this competence too, because she has the ability to communicate, get along in school and society.

The purpose of this research is to see the improvement of English speaking ability of students at SMP YPK Syaloom Klademak Sorong City.Sample in this research centered on class VIIB. While the research instrument is serial picture media that is inserted into the learning device and used as a guide in learning. Therefore, an effective learning media is needed, namely serial picture media to hone the mindset and encourage students at SMP YPK Syaloom Klademak Sorong City to enrich vocabulary so that they can communicate using English fluently. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) and uses the research model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart is made into two cycles in which each cycle the researcher uses planning, action, observation and reflection. Thus the form taken is to look at pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency. Based on the research that has been done, it can be obtained that the research results have significant changes in the application of this learning media is 31% where the results of the implementation of serial picture media in the first cycle are categorized as good is 44% and the second cycle which is categorized as good is 75%. Thus students have the opportunity to improve their own quality, especially in increasing the ability to speak English with the learning media used by the teacher in the teaching and learning process.

The study is intended to describe a feminist critique of the novel Semusim, dan Semusim Lagi by Andina Dwifatma. This type of research is qualitative with a social feminist approach. The main source of data in this study is the novel Semusim, dan Semusim Lagi by Andina Dwifatma. Technique of collecting data used literary techniques. Technique of data analysis used analytic descriptions. Novel Semusim, dan Semusim Lagi by Andina Dwifatma is the revealing of the wide variety of women's issues in society. Uncovering the construction built by the public against women. It also implied teaching and displaying attitudes of life and ideology to women. The weakness/criticism of the Semusim, dan Semusim Lagi by Andina Dwifatma is that of the writer, which directs the female struggle toward liberal feminists, such as the freedom of women to be free from children. Deconstructing the social view of women done by authors is sketchy.

The objective of this research is to find out whether a tree diagram technique is effective or not in teaching vocabulary at seventh grade in MTs Muhammadiyah 2 Aimas. Related to the objective of the research used pre- experimental quantitative research design. The design of this research is one group pretest- posttest. The population of this research was seventh grade students divide two classes that were VII A and VII B and the total them are 24 students. Based on purposive sampling, the researcher chosed seventh B grade and which total are 18 students because the class is lack of vocabulary so the low score. In the collecting the data, the researcher used 20 items multiple choice for pretest and posttest. In analyzed the data, the researcher used SPSS 20 program to calculation the data.The result finding of the research showed that the result of N-gain is (58.46) or (58%) the categorized was quiet effective. In addition to result of T-test is P value (0.000) < α (0.05), it means that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The alternative hyphothesis (Ha) was there is an effective in teaching vocabulary using tree diagram between pretest and posttest. And also , it can be seen from the mean score from the posttest was (45.83) improved on posstest ( 77.50). It can be concluded that tree diagram technique in teaching vocabulary were effective in teaching vocabulary.

This research was conducted in order to see the effect of the implementation of ice breaking to increase students motivation at 7th grade of MTs Yamueti Kokoda. In conducting this research, the rsearcher used pre-experimental design. The researcher used one class in this research. In the class researcher applied pretest and posttest. The sample are the students at 7th grade consisted of 11 students. The results of the research that used ice breaking technique that could be seen the value was lower than a value (0.00 < 0,05), it could seen p value (0,003) and the signifficant level (0,05), the value of fto tally (15,444) was more than ftable (4,96). This mean that an alternative hypotesis there is an influence the implementation of ice breaking on students motivation in english learning (H1) was accepted and, of course a null (H0) was rejected. In other words ice breaking gave the significant influence to the students motivation at 7th of MTs Yamueti Kokoda.
