Abstract

The dynamics of children's religiosity in the era of Society 5.0 and the challenges faced by the Islamic Religious Education (IRE) curriculum in responding to global changes and technological developments. Globalization and digitalization have influenced the understanding and practice of religion among the younger generation, marked by a shift in values and the emergence of hybrid spiritual identities. The IRE curriculum faces significant obstacles, such as low digital literacy among educators, infrastructure gaps, and a lack of contextual material. This study uses a library research method with a descriptive-critical approach to identify these challenges and offer strategic solutions. The results of the study show the importance of curriculum transformation through the integration of digital technology, strengthening teacher competencies, developing transformative learning models based on Islamic values, and instilling digital ethics and spirituality. Thus, the IRE curriculum is expected to produce a generation of Muslims who are adaptive, moderate, and moral in the midst of globalization and the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the legal considerations of Supreme Court Justices in Decision Number 16/K/Ag/2010 and evaluate them through the perspective of Maqashid Shariah. The method employed is library research using a normative approach, where primary legal materials from the Supreme Court decision are examined through descriptive and content analysis. The results indicate that the justices' consideration for granting a mandatory will (wasiat wajibah) to a non-Muslim widow is based on Yusuf al-Qaradawi’s jurisprudence, which emphasizes mutual assistance over religious differences. This stance aligns with the views of Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim, and MUI Fatwa Number 5/MUNAS VII/MUI/9/2005. From the Maqashid Shariah perspective, this decision fulfills the objective of public interest (maslaha), specifically the protection of life (hifz al-nafs). By providing a portion of the estate, the ruling ensures economic security for the widow in her old age, regardless of her faith, thereby achieving substantive justice and social welfare

Abstract

Students, as agents of change, play a strategic role in breaking the chain of corruption through prevention and the instillation of integrity values. This study aims to analyze the role and involvement of Student Organizations (Ormawa) at STAIN Bengkalis in the anti-corruption movement, based on the competency standards of the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Education Number 5783 of 2019. This study employs a quantitative descriptive method with a saturated sampling (census) technique involving 29 student organizations as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Miles & Huberman interactive model. The results reveal a gradation of declining student roles from personal to systemic aspects. Individual competence (preventing oneself) is in the very high category (98.6%), followed by social competence (preventing others) at 82.8%, and lowest in the competence of detecting and reporting corruption (whistleblowing) at 75.9%. These findings indicate that the anti-corruption movement of STAIN Bengkalis students is still defensive-personal (maintaining personal piety) and not yet fully offensive-systemic (daring to challenge the system). Strengthening whistleblower protection and advocacy education is required to empower students to take an active role in eradicating corruption.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has brought significant transformation to the field of education, including the teaching and learning of Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital media in IRE learning in the modern era, focusing on its forms of application, roles, and impact on learning quality. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted using domain analysis to obtain a comprehensive understanding of digital media usage practices. The findings indicate that digital media such as digital presentations, instructional videos, digital based learning materials, and Learning Management System (LMS) platforms play a crucial role in enhancing students’ motivation, comprehension, and engagement. Digital media enables IRE content to be delivered in a more contextual, interactive, and personalized manner, making the learning process more flexible and adaptive. However, successful implementation requires adequate digital literacy among teachers and students, the availability of technological infrastructure, and proper content supervision to ensure alignment with Islamic values. When managed effectively, digital media serves as a catalyst for transforming IRE learning, supporting the development of students’ knowledge, attitudes, and noble character.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using quartet cards in improving the mufrodat (Arabic vocabulary) skills of fourth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah Al Hanif in Palu City. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The research subjects were 40 students divided into two groups: an experimental group using quartet cards and a control group using conventional methods. Data collection was conducted through vocabulary tests before and after the intervention. The results showed a significant improvement in vocabulary mastery in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average post-test scores of the experimental group were statistically higher, proving that quartet cards are effective as a learning aid for Arabic vocabulary. This study suggests that Arabic language teachers at the elementary level should maximize the use of interactive media such as quartet cards in the learning process

Abstract

This article examines the application of the constructivist approach in Islamic Religious Education learning in the context of the 21st century, which is characterized by rapid technological advances, Artificial Intelligence (AI), globalization, and the characteristics of Generation Z and Generation Alpha students. The issue raised is that Islamic Religious Education learning is still predominantly knowledge transfer-oriented, making it less meaningful and less relevant to the reality of students. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study method through an analysis of literature related to constructivism and Islamic Religious Education learning design. The results of the study show that constructivism encourages more active and contextual Islamic Religious Education learning through problem-based activities, collaborative discussions, reflection, and gradual support (scaffolding) towards independent learning. The implication is that teachers act as facilitators who guide inquiry and the application of values so that the internalization of Islamic teachings is reflected in attitudes and behavior. This article recommends strengthening the pedagogical competence of PAI teachers, implementing active learning models, and using authentic assessments to evaluate cognitive, affective, and psychomotor achievements in a balanced manner.

Abstract

This research is prompted by the proliferation of Shopee coin conversion services on the X (Twitter) application, which are highly susceptible to fraudulent activities. These transactions involve third parties informally, operating without any official protection or supervision from Shopee. The primary objectives of this study are to understand the service mechanism, evaluate legal protections for defrauded consumers, and assess the practice through the hifz al-mal (protection of wealth) principle within the maqashid sharia framework. Utilizing an empirical qualitative method, the findings reveal that these services exploit limitations on coin usage and remain high-risk due to a lack of adequate legal guarantees. While normative protection is available under the Consumer Protection Law and the ITE Law, implementation remains ineffective due to weak responses from law enforcement and widespread consumer pessimism. From a maqashid sharia perspective, this practice contradicts the hifz al-mal principle as it fails to ensure the secure, fair, and transparent protection of consumer assets.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic education can no longer rely solely on the textual and normative transmission of religious knowledge; instead, it must be redirected toward active, reflective, contextual, and transformative learning paradigms. This study employs a descriptive-qualitative library research method, analyzing various scholarly articles, books, theses, and online media documentation. The findings indicate that contemporary Islamic learning demands teachers to function as facilitators, value mediators, and agents of transformation who guide students in comprehending, internalizing, and practicing Islamic teachings within classroom interactions and daily life. Specifically, the deep learning model demonstrates strong conceptual relevance in Islamic education as it enables students to construct profound understanding, cultivate critical reasoning, strengthen spirituality, and actualize Islamic values in response to social and moral challenges. Each analyzed learning model offers distinct yet complementary contributions to forming a holistic, meaningful, and welfare-oriented Islamic education. Consequently, this article asserts that the development of contemporary Islamic learning requires integrative and transformative pedagogical designs to ensure that Islamic education produces a generation that is not only faithful and virtuous but also intellectually critical and adaptive to the complexities of the modern era.
