Abstract

Evaluation of employee performance is carried out by company leaders at company work meetings to determine the best employees. In the process of assessing the best employees, the relevant company still does not use a digital system and does not have a clear weighting system for the criteria used. This results in inaccurate assessment results. Based on the problems found during field observations, research was carried out with the aim of developing a computerized decision support system for employee performance assessment and a system that applies weighting to each criterion. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) methods are the methods used in developing this decision support system. The AHP method is used to determine the weight of each criterion, while the SAW method is used to determine the ranking of the best employees. The research results are in the form of a website-based decision support system complete with criteria and weights for each criterion as well as the final results of the performance assessment of the 5 data samples used. This system has been tested using the User Acceptance Test method and obtained a score of 78.31%.

Abstract

The Plasma Pratama Mandiri Cooperative operates in the field of savings and loan fund services for its members. However, the cooperative faces significant challenges due to its reliance on conventional, archive-based systems for processing savings transactions, loans, installments, and report preparation. These outdated methods result in time-consuming data searches and inefficiencies. To address this issue, the aim of this study is to develop a more efficient and computerized savings and loan information system for the Plasma Pratama Mandiri Cooperative. The study employs the Web Engineering method, encompassing stages such as communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment, with system modeling conducted using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The outcome of this research is the development of an Android-based savings and loan information system for cooperative members and a web-based system for cooperative administrators. This new system facilitates online management and significantly enhances service efficiency for cooperative members.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the level of student satisfaction with the use of the Academic Information System (STARS) at Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW) using the PIECES (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service) framework. The research method used was a survey with a structured questionnaire distributed to a sample of students from various study programs at UKSW. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and the PIECES Framework to measure STARS performance from the user's perspective. The research results show that although STARS has provided good performance in several aspects, there are areas that require improvement to increase user satisfaction. The implication of this research is the importance of using a framework such as PIECES in evaluating information systems to thoroughly understand user needs and perceptions, as well as providing a strong basis for improvement and development of better systems in the future.

Abstract

The emergence of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems has transformed the way businesses operate, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Serves as a relevant area of study to understand the impact, challenges, and benefits of using Open ERP. ERP is a method used by industries to enhance business process efficiency. This is done by sharing information both within and between business processes. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Open ERP in the MSME ecosystem using the HOT-Fit method, which measures the fit between Human, Organization, and Technology components in the use of the Odoo application for MSMEs. Odoo is a open-source ERP software that is suitable for small and medium businesses. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the implementation of OpenERP using the Odoo application only affects the human component. Simultaneous testing indicates that these three variables collectively influence net benefits.

Abstract

This study conducts the measurement of user experience (UX) of the CLASS-IPB Learning Management System (LMS) using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. The research was carried out through several stages, including a literature review, method determination, data collection, and data analysis using UEQ Data Analysis Tools. It involved 45 students who provided feedback on six UX aspects: attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. Results indicated that CLASS-IPB excels in pragmatic qualities, particularly in efficiency, perspicuity, and dependability, with scores above the benchmark average. However, the system scored lower in hedonic qualities, specifically in stimulation and novelty, suggesting areas for improvement. The study concludes that while CLASS-IPB is effective in aiding task completion and user control, it needs enhancements to become more motivating and innovative.

Abstract

The IPB Help Center Website is an essential source for IPB University students to get help in solving technical problems. Research was conducted to evaluate the user experience on the IPB Help Center Website through usability testing methods. This research involved 50 IPB University student respondents who used the IPB Help Center website and filled out a survey through Google Forms. The results showed that the overall level of usability was satisfactory, with high ratings for five usability indicators, including learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. The average scores of learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction indicators are 3.88, 3.95, 3.88, 4.40, and 3.85, respectively. This shows that the IPB Help Center Website has been effective in helping users solve technical problems. This research provides an evaluation to improve the user experience and effectiveness of the IPB Help Center website as a valuable resource for IPB University students. Future research will explore the correlation between various usability indicators to gain further insights.

Abstract

The rapid surge of technological innovation is reshaping industries, and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are key players in this digital transformation. However, despite their prominence, SMEs often struggle to adopt cutting-edge technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT). While IoT offers the potential to revolutionise SME operations, integrating these interconnected devices presents significant hurdles. Thus, to bridge this research gap, a robust conceptual framework is necessary to understand the factors influencing IoT adoption in SMEs. This study addresses a critical gap by proposing a novel multi-theoretical framework, integrating established technology adoption theories and models like, Diffusion of Innovation (DOI), Technology-Organisation-Environment (TOE) framework, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). This framework will assist researchers, policymakers, and practitioners in crafting strategies to improve SMEs IoT adoption in Botswana and other developing economies. Future studies will validate this framework through survey research.

Abstract

This paper explores the multifaceted world of IoT, exploring its historical evolution, core definitions, enabling technologies, architectural considerations, communication models and future predictions. Moreover, the paper critically scrutinises the potential benefits and challenges associated with IoT adoption. This study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology to review existing literature between January 2020 and January 2024 on IoT technology. 20 relevant studies out of an initial pool of 45,312 studies were reviewed. The study followed the established Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) framework to ensure a rigorous and unbiased selection process. Findings revealed the lack of a universally accepted definition for IoT and significant variations in architectural models across scholarly works. Moreover, the study acknowledges the complex and ever-evolving nature of IoT technology, recognising its early stages of development. This dynamic technological landscape calls for continuous exploration of future research. Findings will provide valuable insights for academics, researchers, and industry professionals interested in the understanding the intricate technical landscape of IoT and its development. Moreover, by providing insights into growth predictions, benefits, and existing challenges, this will empower stakeholders to navigate the evolving IoT landscape and contribute to its future progress.
