Abstract

Abstract. The purposes of this research were: 1) to describe the teacher's need about music (SBdP) teaching material based on scientific approach for the 5th grade of elementary school student; 2) to develop the initial design of music (SBdP) teaching materials based on scientific approach for the 5th grade of elementary school student; and 3) to explain the form of a music (SBdP) teaching material based on scientific approach prototype (initial draft) for the 5th grade of elementary school student. The research method that used in this research was Research & Development (R & D). This research method consisted of two stages, that were Stage I (preliminary studies) and stage II (development). The preliminary studies stage was carried out in eight elementary schools in the Laweyan district Surakarta by using some technique which were questionnaire, interviews and document analysis. After getting data from the preliminary studies, then the data would process by using qualitative descriptive analysis. The development stage consisted of product design preparation, product design validation and product testing. The results of this research explained that there was a teacher’s need to develop music (SBdP) teaching materials. Teaching material was a companion that could help teachers to optimize music learning. The product that had developed was music (SBdP) teaching materials based on the scientific approach. The design of this product (teaching material prototype) got a very good assessment from the expert. The results of limited trials showed that tcount<ttable (1,71791 < 1,7291) which means it was at the 95% confidence level, and the average of the student’s test score that had used music (SBdP) teaching materials based on the scientific approach was not equal to 75.Keywords: Teaching material, SBdP, scientific approach, elementary school

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this research was to improve the cursive handwriting skills through the use of learning methods Stuctural Analitic Synthetic (SAS). Here the researcher used an action classroom research in two cycles. Technique that choosen for collect data are interview, observation, test, and documentation. The data validity test technique uses data triangulation include sources triangulation, technique triangulation, and content validity . The data analysis technique uses descriptive comparative and analytic comparative technique shown by interactive model learning. The result of this research showed the improvement of value in  initial pre-action test score were 50,7 with classical completeness of 12%, and then increased in the first cycle by 68,5 with classical completeness of 40%, and in second cycle it increased highly to 81,79 with classical completeness of 84%. The conclusion that can be obtained based on these data are the use of SAS learning methods can improve the cursive handwriting skills in second grades students of SDN Bumi 1  No.67 Surakarta in academic year 2018/2019.   Keywords: Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS),  cursive handwriting skills, Elementary School

Abstract

The purpose of this thorough to improving the conceptual understanding of economic activities and kind of business in Indonesia for fifth grade students of SD N 03 Karanganyar in the 2018/2019 academic year using cooperative learning type Think Pair Share. This classroom action research consist of two cycles, each cycle includes two meeting. Subject and sorce data in this thorough were teacher and students of V SD N 03 Karanganyar. The thorough uses collection and teachnique through observation, interviews, test, and documentation. The data validity used in content validation. The data analysis teachnique used is an interactive analysis model. The conclusion in this research are cooperative learning type TPS that can improve the concept understanding of economic activities and types of business in Indonesiafor fifth grade students of SD N 03 Karanganyar in the academic year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to increase the skills of calculating the circumference of flat wake using takalintar technique in the 3rd grade of SD 2 Dodogan, Bantul 2018/2019 school year. This classroom action research is carried out in three cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings with four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were teacher and 3rd grade students, amounting to 15 students. This study uses observational techniques, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data analysis using interactive data analysis with steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The data validity test technique and technical triangulation The results on skills of calculating the circumference of flat wake increase from initial condition 56,1 (20%) to 75.0 (47%) in the first cycle, 80,0  (67%) in second cycle, and 88,9 (80%) in third cycles. Based on the results of this research, it was concluded that through the application of takalintar technique can increase the skills of calculating the circumference of flat wake in the 3rd grade of SD 2 Dodogan, Bantul 2018/2019 school year.Keywords : skills of calculating, the circumference of flat wake, takalintar technique, elementary school

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve HOTS Transfer of Knowledge capabilities on statistical question by applying the Missouri Matematics Project (MMP) learning model. This research is a Classrom Action Research and consist of two cycles. The subject of this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri Pajang II Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 26 students. The data collection technique of this study uses interviews, observation, test, and documentation. The data validity test technique of this research is the content validity. The analysis of the data used in this study is Miles-Huberman’s interactive analysis model. The initial condition of HOTS Transfer of Knowledge ability of fourth grade students resulted in completeness of C4 aspects by 7 students, C5 by 2 students, and C6 by 2 students. Cycle 1 meeting 1 completeness aspects of C4 were 13 stuents, C5 were 13 students, and C6 were 12 students. Cycle 1 meeting 2 completness aspects of C4 were 20 students, C5 were 15 students, and C6 were 15 students. Cycle 2 meeting 1 completness aspects of C4 were 21 students, C5 were 20 students, and C6 were 21 students. Cycle 2 meeting 2 completness aspects of C4 were 23 students, C5 were 23 students, and C6 were 22 students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to improving the conceptual understanding of circumference and area of plane object for fourth grade students of Ta’mirul Islam Elementary School in the 2018/2019 academic year using interactive multimedia. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR), that consist of three cycles, each cycle includes two meeting. Subject and sorce data in this research were teacher and students of IV D, Ta’mirul Islam Elementary School. The research uses collection and teachnique through observation, interviews, test, and documentation. The data validity used in source triangulation and triangulation of data methods. The data analysis teachnique used is an interactive analysis model. The conclusion in this research are interactive multimedia that can improve the concept understanding of circumference and area of plane object for fourth grade students of Ta’mirul Islam Elementary School in the academic year 2018/2019.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the force and movement analysis capabilities of fourth grade students of the Elementary School Pengungkulan in the academic year 2018/2019. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) is held in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings with various stages in each meeting namely, planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. As a research object is the fourth grade students of Elementary School Penungkulan who are 30 students. The data collection techniques in this research are tests and non-tests. The data validation used is content validation. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative method of Miles-Huberman consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The completeness results of the ability to analyze of the students in action research is 20%  in classical. In the first cycle of the first meeting, the percentage of completeness was 43.4% in classical, while in the second meeting, the completeness was 60% in a classical. The second cycle as a continuation of the first cycle, the percentage of completeness at the first meeting was 76.3% in classical and at the meeting 2 the percentage of classical completeness was 83%Keywords: guided inquiry, analysis, force and movement, elementary school

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to improve the narrative essay writting skills for third grade students of SD N Sayangan No. 244 Surakarta 2018/2019 academic year through the use of Think Pair Share learning model with picture series. This type of research is classroom Action Research conducted in 2 cycles. The subject of this research consisted of teacher and class III students with a total 30 students with 13 men and 17 women. The data obtained in this study were collected by interview, observation,test, and documentation techniques. The technique used in testing the validity of this research data is content validity and triangulation. The analysis tecnique used is interactive analysis techniques. The result of this study indicate that There was an increase in every aspect of narrative essay writing skills, namely aspects of content, organization, vocabulary, language development, and mechanics. And then the classical completeness of students in narative essay writting skills on pre-action activities was 16,67%. Then it increased to 63,33% in the frist cycle and increased to 86,67% in the second cycle. Based on the result of the research data it can be concluded that the use of Think Pair Share learning models with picture series can improve the narrative essay writing skills of  class III SD N Sayangan No. 244 Surakarta academic year 2018/2019.Keyword: Think Pair Share learning model, picture series, narrative essay writing skill, elementary school

Abstract

Abstract. The goals of the research was to improve understanding of the concept of circumference and the extent of flat fields through  use of the Think Talk Write model in third grade students of SD N Pajang III No. 206 Surakarta 2018/2019 school year. Classroom Action Research is conducted in two cycles, every cycle consisting of two meeting with four stages, among others  planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of this study were teachers and third grade students, amounting to 36 students. This study uses observational techniques, tests, documentation anf interview. Data analysis technique through data Miles and Huberman analysis models with steps of data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. Data validity test techniques use content validity, source triangulation and technical triangulation. The result showed that the average score pre-action class 47 score with classical completenes was 2.77%, increasing to 56.86 with percentage of completeness is 27.77% in the first cycle and increasing again to 80.16 with classical completeness of 83.33% in cycle II. Source from research result, it can be concluded that through the application of the Think Talk Write model can improve understanding of the concept of circumference and the extent of flat fields in class III SD N Pajang III No. 206 Surakarta 2018/2019 school year.Keyword: understanding of the concept of circumference and the extent of flat fields, Think Talk Write models, elementary school

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research aimed at increasing learning motivation in Mathematics through the Talking Stick learning model for 5th grade students in Karanganyar in the 2018/2019 academic year. The subjects of this study were aclassteacherand 28 students from grade 5 elementary school students. The procedure of this study consists of 3 cycles, each cycle has 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection of this research was carried out by interviews, observations, learning motivation questionnaires, and document study techniques. The data validity used is construct validity and triangulation technique. This study uses interactive analysis (Miles and Huberman models) for data analysis. The results of the study after the action increased from the initial conditions were 7% to 54% in the first cycle, 75% in the second cycle, and 90% in the third cycle. Based on the results of this study, it can b econcluded that the motivation in learning mathematics in grade 5 elementary school students increased after the Talking Stick learning model was implemented.
