Abstract

Adolescence is a period where individuals experience a developmental transition from childhood to adulthood, that is capable of mental, emotional, social, and physical maturity Emotions can affect individual ways of thinking and even actions. Inability to manage emotions is a picture of uncontrolled emotions and reflects emotional imbalance. This study aims to describe the emotional management of early adolescents in terms of the ability to control the interpretation of stimuli that cause emotions, and the ability to control the expression of emotions that arise. This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The study population was 785 students of SMP N 7 Padang. The sample in this study amounted to 265 people determined by proportional random sampling. The instrument used in this study was a Likert scale model questionnaire. The data obtained were processed using percentage techniques. The findings of this study reveal that the ability to manage students' emotions in controlling the interpretation of stimuli that cause emotions is in the good category with a percentage of 67.5%, and the ability of students to control the expression of emotions that appear is in the good category with a percentage of 70.2%. So the ability to manage the emotions of early teens is classified as good with a percentage of 76.6%.

Abstract

Cheating behavior is cheating behavior, dishonest and does not obey the rules carried out by individuals without thinking about the impact on themselves by giving answers to friends, looking at friends' answers, throwing papers and giving answer codes to friends. This research aims to (1) describe cheating behavior of students in SMA Negeri 8 Padang, (2) describe the cognitive behavior modification (CBM) approach to reduce student cheating behavior, (3) test the effectiveness of the CBM approach effectively reducing student cheating behavior. This study uses an experimental design of a pre-experimental model, using the design of The One Group Pretest Posttest Designt. The subjects in this study were 10 students of SMA Negeri 8 Padang class XI IPS 1. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used Wilcoxon signed range test design data analysis. The results showed that the CBM approach was effective in reducing student cheating behavior with 76.4% pretest results in the high category and 40.4% posttest in the low category. This study gives meaning that the Cognitive Behaviour Modification approach is able to reduce student cheating behavior, for that Guidance and Counseling teachers need to apply this approach in caryying out counseling services to students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' perceptions of the teaching methods of teachers and describe students' interest in learning and examine the relationship between students' perceptions of the teaching methods of teachers with student learning interests. This research is a quantitative research with correlational descriptive research type. The research variables consist of two, namely: students' perceptions of the teaching methods of teachers (X) are independent variables and interest in learning (Y) are dependent variables. The study population was all students of SMPN 3 Sungai Geringging Pariaman in the 2018/2019 school year with a sampling technique using proportional stratified random sampling. The type of data used in this study is interval data with primary data sources. The instrument used in this study was in the form of scale. The shape of the scale used is the Likert scale model. The results found that the average teaching method of teachers in general was in the medium category, and most students at SMPN 3 Sungai Geringging had an interest in learning in the medium category. The average student learning interest in general is also in the quite good category, and the teaching methods of teachers at Sungai Geringging 3 Junior High School are quite good. The better the condition of the school environment, the higher the concentration of student learning, and vice versa the less good the condition of the school environment, the lower the concentration of student learning.

Abstract

Online games is one of the internet-connected games that are in demand starting from children, online games user should be able to think precisely and logically and must be able to place and accept the functions of online gaming facilities. This 1) describe online gaming addication which is seen from the quality of compulsive or encouragement to do continuously 2) describe online games addication as seen from the quality of withdrawal 3) describe online games addication as seen from tolerace quality 4) describe onlien games addication as seen from the quality of interpersonal and health problem.The population of this study was students of SMAN One Batang Kapas 442. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling so that a sample of 81 students was obtained. The instrument used is an online games addication 1) cmpulsive or encouragement in the high category whith an average achievement of 70,4% whith a total of 57 people 2)whitdrawal is in the high category whith an average achievement of43,2% whith a total of 35 peopel 3)tolerance is at high category with an average achievement of 59,3% with 48 students 4)interpersonal relation an health problems are in the high category with an average achievement of 93,8% with a total of 76 tudents.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of many students who tend to be difficult to adjust. The effectiveness of self-adjustment will determine the objectives to be achieved in fact there are still many students who are not able to adjust themselves well in the school environment, this is dilator behind by interpersonal communication which is one of the factors that is suspected to influence student adjustment. This study aims to describe: 1) Interpersonal Communication, 2) self-adjustment, and 3)The contribution of Interpersonal Communication to student self-adjustment.This type of research is a descriptive correlational research, with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study were 200 students consisting of classes X and XI, selected by Stratifate random sampling technique. The instrument used was Scale using Linkert scale mode. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and simple linear regression.The findings of this study show that: 1) most interpersonal communication students of SMK N 10 Padang have high levels of interpersonal communication, even though there are students who have very high, medium and low levels of interpersonal communication. There are no students who have a low level of adjustment and are very low. 2) Most adjustment of students of SMK N 10 Padang has a fairly good level of adjustment, even though there are students who have a very good and good level of adjustment. There are no students who have a level of adjustment that is lacking and lacking once. 3) There is a significant contribution between interpersonal communication with the adjustment of students of SMK Negeri 10 Padang, which is 13.9%.

Abstract

Interpersonal communication has an important role to be done with others. Background of this study there are still many students who have poor interpersonal communication skills, such as talking about friends, saying rude to friends, and not empathizing with friends. The purpose of this study is to discuss the significance of the relationship between self-disclosure and interpersonal communication of high school adolescents. This research uses quantitative by using descriptive correlational method. Population of this study were 442 students of Pertiwi 1 Padang High School. The sample was 200 students selected using proportional stratified random sampling. The instrument required is a scale using a Likert scale model. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and correlational techniques with the Pearson Product Moment Correlation help computer program SPSS 20.00. Unpublished research findings about self-disclosure with interpersonal communication of high school teenagers at Pertiwi 1 Padang High School.

Abstract

Facts in the field showed that there are students who have not been able to show prosocial attitudes. Prosocial attitudes need to be showed to strengthen student social relations. The main objective in this study was to reveal the effectiveness of sociodrama techniques in group setting to improve prosocial attitudes of SMA  Adabiah 2 Padang students. The research design used was the Pre Experiment model experimental research, with The One Group Pretest-Posttest research design. The subjects of this study were 22 students of XI IPS 5 class. The data collection method used a prosocial attitude scale. Data analysis used Wilcoxon Test and descriptive data analysis. The results of this study indicated that, in general, sociodrama techniques in group setting were effective in improving students' prosocial attitudes. While specifically, there was a significant difference in the average score between the prosocial attitudes of students before and after following the sociodrama activities in group setting.

Abstract

Moral intelligence is the ability to understand things that are right and wrong means, have strong ethical beliefs and act on these beliefs, so that people behave properly and respectfully. This study is praised to measure: (1) students' moral intelligence on aspects of empathy, (2) moral intelligence of students in aspects of conscience, (3) moral intelligence of students in aspects of self-control, (4) moral intelligence of students in aspects of respect, (5) moral intelligence of students in aspects of kindness, (6) moral intelligence of students in aspects of tolerance , (7) moral intelligence of students in aspects of justice. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The sample in this study were grade X, XI, XII students of SMA Negeri 7 Padang, totaling 292 students. the data collection tool used was a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical analysis.The results showed that: (1) the moral intelligence of students in SMA 7 Padang based on aspects of empathy was in the high category with a percentage of 54,11%. (2) moral intelligence of students in SMA N 7 Padang based on conscience is in the high enough category with a percentage of 58.56%. (3) the moral intelligence of students in SMA N 7 Padang based on aspects of self-control is in the high enough category with a percentage of 66.10%. (4) the moral intelligence of students in SMA N 7 Padang based on the respect aspect is in the quite high category with the percentage 55.14%. (5) moral intelligence of students in SMA N 7 Padang based on the aspect of tolerance is in the quite high category with a percentage of 51.37%. (6) the moral intelligence of students in SMA N 7 Padang based on aspects of kindness is in the high enough category 45.21% (7) the moral intelligence of students in SMA N 7 Padang based on aspects of justice is in the quite high category with a percentage of 61,99%.Based on the research findings it is suggested to the counselor teacher to be able to support and continue to monitor the moral development of students so that good morale can be maintained and the BK teacher seeks to improve the moral intelligence of students through the provision of BK services in schools relating to student morals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) mendeskripsikan penyesuaian diri siswa, (2) mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa, (3) mendeskripsikan prestasi belajar siswa, (4) menguji apakah terdapat hubungan antara penyesuaian diri, motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa, (5) implikasi pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling  dalam meningkatkan penyesuaian diri, motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis deskriptif korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP Padang kelas VII dan VIII tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 443  orang, sampel sebanyak 210 orang, yang dipilih dengan teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner untuk penyesuaian diri dan kuesioner motivasi belajar. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif, regresi sederhana dan regresi ganda. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa (1) penyesuaian diri siswa secara umum berada pada kategori baik, (2) motivasi belajar siswa secara umum berada pada kategori tinggi, (3) prestasi belajar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, (4) terdapat hubungan penyesuaian diri dengan prestasi belajar siswa, (5) terdapat hubungan motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa, (6) terdapat hubungan penyesuaian diri, motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar siswa, dan (7) implikasi hasil penelitian dijadikan sebagai masukan untuk membuat program layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dapat meningkatkan penyesuaian diri, motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Anxiety is a state of fear or an unpleasant feeling caused by many things such as individual health, social relations and so forth. Interpersonal communication anxiety is a from of anxiety experienced by individuals when they have to talk to others. The purpose this study is to describe the level of student anxiety in interpersonal communication with academic supervisors viewed from physical symptoms, mental or cognitive symptoms and emotional symptoms. The type of research used is descriptive research. The research population of the students of the Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, Padang State University in 2019 the were 214 students. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique, so that a total sample of 139 students was obtained. The study was conducted by administering the questionnaire instrumen. Data were analyzed by percentage analysis. The study shows the results (1) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors as a  whole is in the medium category, (2) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from physical symptoms in the medium category, (3) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from mental or cognitive symptomsin the medium category, (4) anxiety level in students interpersonal communication with academic supervisors seen from emotional symptoms in the medium category.
