Abstract

Learning behavior is influenced by internal factors and external factors. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students who have poor learning behavior. This study aims to describe internal and external factors that influence student learning behavior. This type of descriptive research using quantitative methods. The research population of students of SMA Negeri 5 Padang was 1,025 students, and the research sample of 273 students were selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data collection uses a questionnaire about the factors that influence the learning behavior of the Likert Scale model. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results of this study describe (1) internal factors that influence learning behavior namely physiological aspects are in the high category (50%), and psychological aspects are in the high category (49%), (2) external factors that influence learning behavior namely the social environment in the high category (68%), and the nonsocial environment is in the high category (63%). Based on the research findings, it is suggested to BK teachers to be able to provide Guidance and Counseling services in the form of information services, content mastery services, individual counseling services, group guidance services, and group counseling services to students, so that students can overcome the problems or obstacles they experience.

Abstract

The implementation of the teaching and learning process is inseparable from various learning problems. In the problems experienced by students need to be created an atmosphere of active learning. One factor is the family environment. The relationship between parent and child has a very big influence on children's learning outcomes. Therefore, problems or obstacles experienced by children can be influenced by parents. There’s till found learning problems of children caused by lack of parental support. So it can be concluded the relationship of parental support with learning problems is the provision of support provided by parents such as student interaction or communication with parents. For advice this issue is a good relationship between parents and children. And also parental care is needed in shaping learning skills. This paper will describe the form of learning problems and aspects of parental support and their implications in guidance and counseling.

Abstract

The difference between academic demands in college and high school requires that first-year students must be able to adjust. When meeting academic demands in college, first-year students can experience academic stress. Academic stress can interfere with first-year students in meeting the academic demands of higher education. One of the factors that influence academic stress is academic self efficacy. Therefore, to reduce academic stress experienced by first-year students can be done by increasing academic self-efficacy. This article is a literature study that will explain about increasing academic self efficacy in reducing the academic stress of first year students. Hopefully this article can be a reference.

Abstract

Learning habits are methods or techniques of learning that are carried out repeatedly so as to produce learning skills that remain in students and students will get used to doing it without coercion. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of students who have poor study habits. This study aims to describe the learning habits of students attending full day school. This research is a type of descriptive research using quantitative methods. The population in this study were students of class X and XI of SMAN 1 Coastal Domains totaling 573 students and the sample in this study amounted to 239 students selected using proportional random sampling techniques. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire about student learning habits with a Likert scale model. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical techniques. This study describes (1) students' learning habits based on aspects of making schedules and their implementation in the very good and good category (39.7%), (2) student learning habits based on aspects of reading and taking notes are in the very good category (54.0%), (3) students 'learning habits based on repeating aspects of learning materials are in good categories (46%), (4) students' learning habits based on concentration aspects are in quite good category (43,5%), (5) learning habits students based on aspects of doing the assignment are in good category (48.5%).

Abstract

This research is motivated by female prisoners who have physical and psychological problems, especially those who are related to self-image such as lack of self-confidence, low self-esteem, low self-acceptance, desperation, stress, and inhibited relationships. This study aims to describe the self-image of female prisoners in terms of types of cases, the self-image of female prisoners in terms of the criminal period, and see the difference in self-image when viewed from the type of case and criminal period. The research method used is a quantitative method ,comparative descriptive type with factorial design. The research subjects in this study were 32 female prisoners in LPKA class IIB Tanjung Pati. The instrument in this study used a self-image scale. Data is obtained by collecting the administering instrument and then processed through statistical techniques to determine the total score, mean, standard deviation, interval scale, frequency, and percentage. To see the difference in self-image in terms of types of cases and criminal periods simultaneously a Variant Analysis ?ANAVA ?technique was applied by using ? SPSS statistical program for windows release 15.0.? The results showed that the self-image of female prisoners is in the high category, the self-image of female prisoners in terms of the types of cases is in the high category, the self-image of female prisoners in terms of the criminal period is in the high category, and there is no significant difference in the self-image of female prisoners when reviewed from the type of case and criminal period simultaneously. The implication of this research is the need for counselors in prison to provide guidance and counseling services to female prisoners. Counselors can help overcome the problems experienced by female prisoners and help prisoners maintain a positive self-image especially those related to self-image.

Abstract

In the counseling process ideally students are open in presenting their problems. But on the fact that the students is less open in expressing problems to the teachers of guidance of counseling. Therefore individual counseling services are the right choice in expressing the problems experienced by students at school. Through individual counseling students are open and can feel how to know themselves and help develop their potential. This article is a literature study that will explain the students' self-disclosure about problems in individual counseling services. The results of the literature review obtained under self-disclosure become one of the important things that must exist in the implementation of counseling, because self-disclosure as one indicator of closeness and disclosure of personal information as an individual's need to obtain solutions to the improvements made in each.

Abstract

This research is backgrounded by the phenomenon of bullying behavior that occurs in adolescents. Bullying behavior occurs because of the emergence of power mismatch between the perpetrator and the victim. Bullying behavior that occurs is related to the influence of peers. Youth bullying behavior is based on wanting to be recognized as a member of a peer group. The purpose of this study is to describe peer conformity and student bullying behavior. The method used is literature study. Bullying behavior can be prevented through the efforts of the Guidance and Counseling Teacher/ Counselor through various Guidance and Counseling services that aim to optimize student development.

Abstract

Resilience and self-concept are very important for individuals (students) in facing economic difficulties they experience. By having good resilience and positive self-concept, individuals will be able to survive the difficulties that occur to them and be able to assess themselves properly in accordance with their physical, psychological and social conditions. Based on the phenomenon that is seen many students of SMP Negeri 4 Lembah Gumanti who have low resilience and self-concepts in dealing with the underprivileged conditions they experience. This study aims to see how the relationship of self-concept with the resilience of pre-Sumatra students at SMP Negeri 4 Lembah Gumanti. This research is a quantitative descriptive correlational type of research. The sample of this research was 44 students from grade VIII and IX students using total sampling technique (saturated sample). This study uses a questionnaire prepared using a Likert scale model of self-concept and resilience. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive and correlational analysis techniques using the moment prodact formula with the help of SPSS Version 26 for Windows. Based on the results of data processing that has been done shows that the self-concept with resilience of pre-prosperous students in SMP Negeri 4 Lembah Gumanti is positive and significant (r count > r table, significance 0.01).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of self acceptance toward hopelessness of female prisoners. The ideal is that female prisoners have good self acceptance so that hopelessness does not occur. However, in reality, there are still many female prisoners who are unable to accept their condition so that they feel that their lives are too heavy to be lived and have no expectations for his future. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. Subjects in this study are female prisoners in LPKA Class IIB Tanjung Pati, Payakumbuh with a total of 32 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire with a Likert scale model. The analysis technique used was a linear regression analysis technique simple and the results show that the value of R2 is 0.152. This means that 15.2% of the contribution of self acceptance towards hopelessness of female prisoners.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between self-confidence and anxiety in encounter the work environment, in the final semester students of the Department of Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP). Self-confidence is one of the important things that final semester students must have to anxiety in encounter the work environment, and has an important role so that students are not too anxious in the work environment, because with high self-confidence which can be seen from the aspect of self-confidence it will make students more confident in the work environment. This research is a descriptive correlational study, with a sample of 123 students who were obtained using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data correlation instrument used a scale questionnaire that was compiled by itself in data collection using a Google form. The results of the data analysis of this study indicate that there is a significant negative correlation in the moderate category between self-confidence and anxiety in encounter the work environment in the final semester students of the Guidance and Counseling Department, Faculty of Education, UNP.
