Abstract

This study investigates the impact of lifestyle and financial literacy on the financial management practices of teenage scouts in Malang City. Using a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design, data were gathered from 135 teenage scout respondents through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that both lifestyle and financial literacy significantly influence financial management behavior. An excessive lifestyle negatively affects financial management outcomes, whereas strong financial literacy greatly enhances financial management practices. These results highlight the critical role of early financial education, particularly within scouting, in promoting responsible financial behavior among teenagers.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of risk perception and return expectations on investment decision-making among students in the capital market context. Using a quantitative approach, the population comprises 520 active students from the Faculty of Economics at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. A sample of 84 respondents was selected through simple random sampling by employing Slovin’s formula to ensure equal selection opportunity and representativeness. Data collection involves structured questionnaires measuring risk perception, return expectations, and investment decisions. Investment decisions serve as the dependent variable, while risk perception and return expectations are independent variables. The indicators for each variable align with foundational theories to capture their essential dimensions, ensuring data relevance and accuracy. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 27, incorporating descriptive statistics to summarize respondent demographics and regression analysis to evaluate variable influences. The findings reveal that risk perception and return expectations significantly and positively affect students’ investment decisions. This suggests that students consider both risk and potential returns, reflecting a sound understanding of investment principles before making decisions

Abstract

Using the Game-Based Learning (GBL) approach with the help of the Educandy application, this study seeks to increase student motivation and learning outcomes. Low motivation and student learning results from the saturation and inefficiency of traditional teaching methods are the primary issues. The Pretest-Posttest Control Group design was used in a pseudo-experimental study carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Limau. Purposive sampling was used to choose the sample, while learning outcome assessments and motivation questionnaires were used as tools. Compared to traditional learning, the independent sample t-test findings demonstrated that using GBL with Educandy’s assistance significantly improved student motivation and learning outcomes. In summary, GBL combined with Educandy improves learning results and student motivation.

Abstract

This research explores how self-control, cyberslacking, and academic stress affect the academic performance of graduate students at the State University of Malang. A quantitative methodology using multiple linear regression was applied to analyze the relationships between these variables. Data were collected through a questionnaire based on a Likert scale, with a sample of 55 respondents chosen using proportional random sampling. The findings indicate that, on an individual basis, self-control did not significantly affect academic achievement, whereas both cyberslacking and academic stress do have a considerable impact. Collectively, these three variables explain 68.7% of the variance in academic performance, as indicated by the Adjusted R Square value. The study concludes that cyberslacking and academic stress are critical factors influencing students' academic success. Therefore, implementing strategies for stress management and reducing cyberslacking activities are essential for enhancing academic outcomes. Additionally, fostering self-control can help students better navigate the effects of these other variables.

Abstract

The research investigates the linkage between information technology misuse, academic culture, and academic integrity among accounting education students with religiosity as a moderation variable. This study involved 199 students from accounting education at the State University of Surabaya as the sample chosen using the random sampling technique. Furthermore, moderate regression analysis (MRA) and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that information technology misuse hurts academic integrity, while academic culture positively impacts academic integrity. In addition, religiosity moderated the adverse effects of information technology misuse on academic integrity. Lastly, religiosity does not moderate the impact of academic culture on academic integrity among accounting education students.

Abstract

Sustainable consumption is a substantial obstacle in contemporary society, particularly for millennials and Generation Z. Their sensitivity to pricing distinguishes these demographics, their willingness to make discerning product choices, and their preference for environmentally and socially responsible commodities. It is essential to comprehend their behaviours to formulate strategies that encourage sustainable consumption. This study utilises green signal factors to examine consumers’ willingness to pay more. A quantitative research method was employed, surveying 800 Millennials and Gen Z in Indonesia. This research utilises a Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) methodology, employing SmartPLS software for data analysis. The results show green future estimation and perceived quality as strong predictors of a willingness to pay for more eco-friendly products. Although environmental concern does not significantly impact this willingness, the relationship remains positive. In contrast, green perceived benefits do not have a significant effect. These results emphasise that, despite a clear preference for sustainable products, consumers’ hesitation to pay additional costs reflects the complex interplay between economic considerations and environmental values.

Abstract

This study examines how sales growth, firm size, and liquidity affect profit growth in logistics and transportation companies listed on the BEI between 2020 and 2023. With a sample of 24 businesses chosen through purposive selection, the study focuses exclusively on companies in this industry. The analysis makes use of secondary data obtained from financial statements. The results, which were obtained by using A surge in sales growth, have a favorable and significant impact on profit growth. Liquidity has a little and inconsequential impact on profit growth, whereas the company’s size has no noticeable effect. However, sales growth, company size, and liquidity significantly affect profit growth. In light of these results, companies are encouraged to enhance profitability by implementing strategies that optimize operational efficiency, manage liquidity prudently, and drive sales growth. The size of a company has minimal effect on profit growth; therefore, focusing on innovation is more beneficial, and high-quality services and sustainable growth strategies are recommended.
