Abstract

This study aims to examine how competency and organizational commitment affect the accountability of village fund administration, with transparency serving as a mediating variable. Utilising a quantitative research methodology, the study distributes questionnaires to gather primary data. The research population consists of financial officers from villages around the Agam Regency, with a sample size of 92 determined using the complete sampling method. The statistical software Smart PLS version 4 is used to analyze data using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings indicate that the competency and transparency of civil officials have a significant impact on village fund management accountability, while organizational commitment has a non-significant positive influence. Furthermore, the mediating role of transparency between civil servants' competence, organizational commitment, and the accountability of village fund management shows an insignificant effect. This study's limitation is that it only looks at three variables. civil servants' competence, organizational commitment, and transparency in influencing the accountability of village fund management. Future research is encouraged to explore and include other variables that may affect the behavior of accountability of village fund management, to identify which variables can optimally influence the accountability of village fund management.

Abstract

This research is aimed at developing Village-card learning media: Village accounting educational games that are interesting and fun, so that later it is expected to be able to liven up the atmosphere and also increase the intrinsic motivation of students. This research uses the borg and gall development method which consists of 10 steps with several stages of testing. In the test stage, this game expert received a feasibility score of 89% each by media and material experts, and the feasibility of questionnaires by research instrument experts of 78%. In the field trial stage, 23% of them strongly agreed and 59% agreed that this game was suitable for practice and as a learning tool on village accounting materials. Furthermore, to calculate the effectiveness of this game, a t-test is carried out. Based on the results of the t-test, in the paired sample test the value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.005 so it can be concluded that there is an average difference between intrinsic motivation before and after using the village card, which means there is an effect of using the village card on increasing intrinsic motivation of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need, feasibility, and effectiveness of creative thinking instruments in economic learning. The study procedures were carried out using Research and Development (R&D) method, which comprised various stages, including planning, development, feasibility testing, and instrument implementation. Subsequently, a needs analysis was performed by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews with economics subject teachers. Content validity testing was also carried out through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with nine experts in economics learning, followed by analysis using Aiken Validity Index (Aiken V-Index). Reliability analysis was performed using KR20 through limited tests on 32 class X students at SMAN 4 Bandung City. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used to test the feasibility of the question items. To test the instrument's effectiveness, a quasi-experiment with the one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted on 37 students in class X at SMAN 1 Tasikmalaya City. The results showed that 70.8% of economics teachers expressed a demand for the development of creative thinking instruments. Among the 60 items developed, 47 were declared feasible based on CFA results. In addition, a total of 47 items were implemented through the discovery learning model. The results of hypothesis testing showed that the discovery learning model using the developed instrument proved effective in improving students' creative thinking skills in economics.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze employees’ self-development needs during information digitization, specifically in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Riau University. Data were collected using Google Form questionnaire, obtaining a 79.03% response rate. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analyses. The result showed that (1) Most employees had a strong understanding of primary duties and functions, suggesting a "high" proficiency level; (2) Technical knowledge and skills had low scores for the majority, while work attitude mostly fell in the "medium" range; (3) Work motivation was largely classified as "medium", with employees showing interest in self-development opportunities, such as job training through mentoring and peer groups. Regression analysis showed that work ability and role clarity had a joint significant influence on employees’ work motivation. However, each factor did not show a significant effect individually. This result showed the importance of ensuring all employees have both adequate work ability and role clarity. Based on this result, it was recommended that the management of FKIP Riau University devise employees’ development model. This model should prioritize enhancing work ability and clarifying roles to foster motivation and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

Students, from high school through university, must be equipped with the essential skill of analyzing financial statements. The significance of this skill is evident in the high demand for professionals in the field. Regrettably, there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm for learning accounting despite this demand. Consequently, researchers are keen to explore the factors influencing interest in studying accounting. This study employed a quantitative approach, specifically an explanatory survey method. The analysis utilized multiple linear regression analysis (SPSS 22) to examine the data. For this study, a questionnaire comprising 30 statements was administered through Google Forms. The results derived from this data indicate a notable positive influence between peers and learning media on interest in learning, demonstrated through simultaneous, partial, and determinant coefficient analyses. Furthermore, this study underscores the importance of all stakeholders directing their attention to the peer environment and the utilization of learning media, as optimizing these two factors can yield substantial contributions.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and determine the impact of online media usage, parental involvement, reading frequency, and gender on digital literacy. The study employs a quantitative approach using survey methods. The sample was selected through Simple Random Sampling, utilizing the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error, resulting in a sample size of 70 students. Data was collected via questionnaires featuring checklists and rating scales, and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression with the aid of IBM SPSS Version 25. The findings provide an overview of digital literacy among Ad-Da'wah Vocational School students in West Jakarta, indicating that there are more female students than male students. Online media usage does not significantly impact students' digital literacy. Similarly, parental involvement does not significantly affect the digital literacy of students at Ad-Da'wah Vocational School. The study highlights that digital literacy is crucial for increasing students' reading frequency, and that reading frequency significantly influences digital literacy among these students.
