Abstract

Currently, the most widely spoken language worldwide is English. In social settings, at work and at school, millions of people use English as their primary language of communication. It is important to teach students to speak English as a foreign language in the classroom. A teacher should be able to create a more interesting and effective classroom learning atmosphere, then looking at the progress of how well students can communicate in a language is often used to assess the effectiveness of a language learning program. Students must demonstrate speaking fluency as well as the ability to articulate their thoughts and knowledge in a specific type of text for speaking skills. To find out whether Jennirubyejane's vlog videos can improve students' speaking learning, this study divided two classes into a control group and an experimental group and collected data using quantitative pre-test and post-test methodology. The purpose of educational media is to stimulate students' knowledge of facts, skills and thought processes. As a result, audio-visual media has a good impact that promotes language acquisition by being helpful and stimulating to assist English language learning and the results show that Jennierubyjane's vlog videos are a useful medium for teaching speaking.

Abstract

The amount of capacity to learn a language varies from student to student. A student's ability can develop if they are exposed to appropriate and enjoyable learning techniques for improving their learning abilities. Therefore, the purpose of this research is aimed that using Podcast in Noice application can improve English learning process using the listening method. This research was conducted from May 10 until May 30 2023 at SMPN 6 South Tangerang. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with an experimental design that applied control class techniques. In collected data, the researcher used test as an instrument. Data collection was analyzed statistical use t-test formula. The results of the post-test were 81.15 compared to the pre-test were 64.23. Based on statistical analysis, the result of H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. So, for the hypothesis H1 was accepted it can be concluded that using Podcast in Noice application is effective technique to improve students listening skill mastery.

Abstract

AbstrakMedia adalah sebagai alat bantu dalam proses belajar mengajar. Keadaan siswa yang pada umumnya diajar dengan model pembelajaran secara langsung khususnya dengan menggunakan metode ceramah, menunjukkan bahwa siswa kurang bersemangat dalam menerima pelajaran, sehingga mengakibatkan pencapaian hasil belajar siswa yang kurang dari standar KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa MI. Muhammadiyah Poso dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III a dan kelas III b dengan sampel masing-masing kelas berjumlah 15 orang. Teknik  pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah 1) terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar pada kelas IIIa dan IIIb, 2) terdapat peningkatan minat dan pemahaman selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung, dan 3) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar sebelum menggunakan media dengan sesudah menggunakan media. Disimpulkan dengan adanya media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran, maka hasil belajar siswa pun mengalami peningkatan. Kata Kunci: Media, PowerPoint, hasil belajar, Sholat. AbstractMedia is a tool in the teaching and learning process. The condition of students who are generally taught by direct learning models, especially by using the lecture method, shows that students are less enthusiastic about receiving lessons, resulting in achievement of student learning outcomes that are less than the KKM standard. This study aims to determine differences in the improvement of MI students' learning outcomes. Muhammadiyah Poso in learning. The method used in this research is qualitative. The population of this study were students of class III a and class III b with a sample of 15 people from each class. Data collection techniques used are observation and test techniques. The research results obtained were 1) there was an increase in learning outcomes in class IIIa and IIIb, 2) there was an increase in interest and understanding during the learning process, and 3) there were differences in learning outcomes before using the media and after using the media. It was concluded that with the media used in learning, student learning outcomes also increased. Keywords: Media, PowerPoint, learning outcomes, Prayers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether using transactional dialogue in teaching speaking modalities experimentally improved students speaking skills. This study was conducted at SMP YPI Bintaro, the sample participants were thirty-five seventh grade students. In choosing the sample, the researchers used simple random sampling technique. This study used a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design of one group pre and post-test. The instrument used in this study was spoken test used in transactional dialogue. According to the findings of this study, the students' mean score was 64.91, while their post-test score was 68.02. The statistical hypothesis revealed that the level of significance is greater than 0.000<0.005. This means that Ho (Negative Hypothesis) was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, transactional dialogue in teaching speaking modalities improved students' speaking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to test the effectiveness of using learning videos media, namely learning using videos about measuring length by comparing the length of an object, comparing length measurements for mathematics lesson class 1 SD N I Pekandangan Jaya Kab. Indramayu.In this research, the researcher used a per-experiment. To determine the effectiveness of using learning videos media, comparing length measurements for mathematics in class one elementary high school , in this research, theresearcher uses a per-experimental with a one-group pretest and post-testdesign. The instrument used in this study is the pretest and post-test. This pretest and post-test aim to determine the effectiveness of using learning videos media, comparing length measurement for mathematics  by students. The data analysis was done by comparing the calculation of to with t table to determine the hypothesis.This study used the pre-experimental  class method. By using the RnD method. So the learning outcomes using learning video media measuring length of these object can improve student learning outcomes from these result , learning videos comparing length sizes are very effective in student learning in the field of mathematics, especially grade 1 SD N Pekandangan Jaya . Abstract

This study investigates the role of self-regulated learning (SRL) in developing independent learning habits among students. SRL enables people to effectively manage their learning processes by combining metacognitive skills, motivation, and behavioral strategies to achieve academic success. SRL improves students' overall quality of life by establishing structured learning habits and routines, in addition to academic performance. The findings, which were obtained through a literature review using the Sinta and Google Scholar databases, show that increased self-reliance and self-awareness throughout the stages of SRL positively contribute to personal growth and the development of desirable personality traits. Overall, the study emphasizes the importance of SRL in developing effective and autonomous learners.

Abstract

The aim of study was to determine the effectiveness of as the technique used picture me reading in improving students' English vocabulary. This study applied quantitative method with experimental research design by using both Pre-test and Post-Test as the one class of 3th graders of Thammasat Wittaya School, Thailand consisting of 20 students become the sample of the research. The data were collected by using pre-test and post-test which measured students' role play before and after the research. These data were analyzed statistically by using paired- sample t-test. The findings revealed that the students performed better in the post- test than in the pre-test in which they reached mean score of 37 in the pre-test and increased into 75.7 in the post-test. Thus, this research concluded that Role play used as technique in improving vocabulary skills of 3th grade students was effective.

Abstract

Freedom to Learn Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) is a new curriculum issued by the ministry of education as one of the innovation in improving the quality of education in Indonesia. The rise of freedom to learn curriculum as one of the strategic decision in pandemic Covid-19 era. Challenges in implementing new curriculum come with various complaints from majority of teachers and it happen also for primary school teacher in Jakarta. The most element factors that make the implementation of new curriculum deals with narrow understanding of meaning and function in new curriculum. The research focus on analyzing the implementation of freedom to learn curriculum for primary school teacher in Jakarta. The research uses qualitative approach with case study to know the challenge and difficulties of primary school teacher in Jakarta in implementing freedom to learn curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka). Finding of the study indicating teachers feel difficult to use various kind of teaching tools and aid in making interactive teaching and learning. Based on teacher’s and student’s perspectives, freedom to learn curriculum need to have a clear and comprehensive guidance in order to make the teacher improve their teaching skills in order to bring new transformation for the students.

Abstract

Exploring EFL Secondary English Club Students' Challenges with the Use of British Accent in Speaking Classroom is the focus of this study. One of the more challenging accents that students can master in English club is the British accent. The learner can discuss their difficulties in the speaking classroom while using a British accent. This study used an approach with an interview as part of its descriptive qualitative methodology. Three English club students from a vocational high school in Jakarta participated in this study. Nine interview questions helped gather the data for this study. The goal of this study is to examine the difficulties that EFL Secondary English Club Students face when using a British accent in speaking classes. The researcher draws the conclusion that the student's difficulties employing a British accent are constructive based on the findings of the data analysis. The student who uses a British accent in the speaking class presents the most challenge. According to the interview questions, the students approve of the obstacles associated with the British accent in speaking classes. The students respond favorably to the difficulties.

Abstract

This research explores the use of YouTube as an English language learning tool to enhance speaking skills among university students. The aim is to determine the effectiveness of using YouTube as an English language learning tool in improving students' speaking skills. This research design used quantitative methods. The method for data collection was carried out by observation, namely questionnaires. The participants consisted of 90 students from various universities, with various semesters and different age groups. The findings indicate that a significant number of respondents use YouTube regularly for English language learning. This research contributes to understanding the role of YouTube in English language learning.
